They should make it so that the progress of the hooked is halted entirely when the killer is in a certain radius of said survivor, stops face camp.
Change it so once a generator is completed, all other gens (whether being worked on or not) blocks for *input appropriate number of seconds*, should stop gen rush.
bro i feel you man. all my games have been map offers, bnp, iri syringes, and all the meta plus genrush perks. I only play chill i only run 1 slowdown sometimes 2 if the killer is weak but im over the edge man they need to fix shit
Did anyone notice how the jigsaw map wasn’t mentioned in the dev stream as a map that either needs a major pallet deletion or just remove it entirely? How the fuck did no one advocate for this map to be changed? Oh wait survivors said it’s a fine map right? Fucking Christ

It's not that they're gonna punish Killers for face-camping. They're gonna reward the survivors for Killers being too close to the hook. Insta-self-unhook if Killer is close to the hook (and you know they'll have borrowed-time, too). Nothing about face-camping, really. Still nothing in regards to Survivors camping. Maybe I misread it, but they were vague. And I've learned how bhvr be doing their "quality of life" changes (AKA make the game easier for survivors only). Sorry for my rant in the comments last vid. I got extra salty when I read into it. And yes, the changes to the maps never go well in the past, so why would we assume it'd go well now. I don't just play Killer. I like to switch it up. But I am far better at Killer than I am at Survivor. So, that's generally what I wanna play. I bet Samination will make a parody about these changes. They do be pretty funny and on point with it. I don't wanna be pessimistic about it and bring down everyone's vibe. That's not usually me. We'll wait and see how these changes are implemented. Just learned expectations, really.

As a new player ive already gotten into games with toxic survivors 💀 people clicking there flashlights and shit it really makes me not want to play dbd in general I'd rather watch people play like you you're actually my fav killer main on all of dbd YouTube keep up the amazing content!
I tried explaining that to my friends (who only play survivor) and they said “just get better”. You can only get so good and when I go up against a survive with friends that all brought purple tool boxes and stuff it’s hard not to just dc
I had where they popped 5 gens in 2 chases and those chases weren't even that long. The only reason I even got 2k is because I camped and traded for the hook. With the anti camping update it would just make it impossible to win.
If you 4k high mmr solo 6 in a row you automatically get a swf. You can lobby in and out, sometimes you get lucky but usually you don't. It's subtle too, they know killers won't play them if they see all p100 so they hide p10 and under, making it look safe. They know they always have the advantage but will cry like they don't, pretending it's so hard, it's boring. And If you do manage to beat them now you're stuck in mmr hell, you just took out a 20k squad and now the algorithm thinks youre a God, that this is the level of competition you need to play against
The thing is, it’s not even survivors who are really good. It’s pallet RNG that’s the real problem and there needs to be some kind of rules that are implemented.
Take for example Badham. Sometimes you will have shack, and then two god pallets that connect to eachtother. That is completely unfair. Yes you can “brute force them” but any survivor who isn’t a potato can easily waste so much time.
If you decide not to chase them, they’ll still have those to run to. If you hit them and then go for another, they’ll just find a teammate to heal and then it would be for nothing.
There needs to be some kind of detection system that prevents a ton of god pallets from spawning and connecting with each other, if that happens I would guarantee half of the teams that get 3 or more people out would go down.
I read the dev notes and so they say at the mid chapter update they’ll be making a lot of changes to tiles and pallets to “level the playing field” with map fairness. Guess we’ll see
Use nurse and survivors don’t stand a chance. I got so good with her I can warp right onto someone doing a gen and pull them off giving me an easy hook. Also she can’t be looped lol.
everything bad with the game is the way it is because almo/elmo is the lead developer teehee… theres a vid of the lead developer being a complete noob so im not surprised this game is designed as it is.
Honest to god never struggled with killer. I rarely lose, whether its p100 swfs, regular swfs, p100 randoms etc I rarely lose and I don't camp or tunnel although I do slug a lot you'll never catch me Insta pick up unless they are on death hook and even then. But i never play in swfs on survivor and because of dumb ass survivors I almost never escape. So I rarely struggle on killer but then again no matter how survivor or killer sided the game is I've never struggled on killer since they removed the ability for survivors to take down all the hooks permanently.
Edit: I do think the new system is abuseable but honestly I think anyone who thinks the game is sided to one sided SUPER heavily is suffering a skill issue. Tbh this game is SWF sided and nothing more survivors were never meant to be able to communicate and they can through discord and even when they are dead they can provide info more often then not when you face survivors that are all solo queued you'll pub stomp and for swfs you'll have to sweat. So I digress the problem isnt that its survivor or killer sided. the problem is its swf sided
Survivor players were probably bitching about killers like the Knight, Plague, Ghostface or any other killer with gotcha moves because these killer's abilities put the survivors at an "unfair" disadvantage. My guess is the map updates with all it's pallets was designed with certain killers in mind to combat against. That – or it's a skill issue, and the survivor players want special treatment, by babyproofing the maps.
Yeah this change will kill dbd. And your right we don't want to camp. It's just once we finally get someone we ran through all the damn pallets even when there is more pallets too. It's just annoying
so youre telling me.. i wasted my hard earned shards to buy the guy with the deliverance perk… but now theyre adding it as a foundation to being a survivor…. i mean dont get me wrong, im a survivor main, and THERE ARE WAYS TO COMBAT FACE CAMPING. its called actual teamwork. Sadly solo queue rarely gives me anyone that id consider a team player ._.
Hey man this is the exact reason I can't be fucked playing the Oni (who was my favourite) and other killers cause I'd lose consistently for this reason and it was pissing me off big time. Makes you feel like all that time spend if worthless. Started playing the Knight and just following King Wolfes strategies and been winning the majority of games nows. I can relate so much and glad someone else is actually saying this 🙂
The two things I do have an issue with DBD are SWFs & Map Design. Even the developers detest SWFs due to having a massive advantage like pointing out the killer, calling out their locations & even their perks which is so stupid. The only way to completely obliterate SWFs are not allowing them to queue up together in the same lobby in ONLINE RANKED Lobbies. Custom matches are an exception.
As for MAP DESIGNS, put in less God Pallets, more Mind Game-able loops & have a set RNG in every map. THAT'S ALL.
And this is coming from a SOLO QUE Survivor & Killer Main that plays both sides equally with 600 hours on console (XBOX) 💯
Imho some maps have just too many pallets for a Killer to have to deal with. This is especially true where there are two to three stories worth of gens that need to be defended. Sometimes, just to break even, you have no alternative but to quickly wipe out one member of a surv team–whether they consider that "fair" or not doesn't really matter..
I am high skilled killer main and can break down to all of you how cancerous some of the matches can be against swf, I also do swf so I know what I am talking about because I play both. I play to win in either role and sweating as a killer is much more cancerous. I main Cannibal, Wesker and Doctor as of recently. Cannibal is my most played.
This is for survior mains and killer mains to read, and I will explain why people like myself resort to face camping, there are two types of face camping and you doing the gens won't stop it.
First let me explain from my killer perspective when I am playing to win. So survior mains who don't ever play killer need to realize the following about the killer role
#1 – I have no build options, there is a very limited amount of perks I can use that are actually effective and I cannot use meme perks or troll perks. Just because you watch a video of a troll or fun build working doesn't mean its actually viable in general games.
I can tell you for a fact, I have tried countless builds, switching perks in/out and any time I strayed from my main build its always a notiable negative. This applies to most of the killer roster which I find trash, the same build that is most effective on Wesker is also the dame build thay is most effective on Cannibal or Doctor, ect.
Yes, different killers can "use" different perks that are better suited for them, example, infections fright is better on cannibal than it is doctor, but infections freight is still inferior to other perks, thus I have no reason to use these trash perks against swf.
I'll let you know which perks I find the strongest against survivors and explain why. Deadlock, Corrupt Intervention, No way out, Pain resonance, Call of Brine, Pop goes the weasel, Over Charge, Hex: Play thing, ect. Off the top of my head those perks make up most of my builds no matter the killer.
Those perks are superior to almost all of the other perks and its very obvious if you actual use common sense.
Merciless storm is ass compared to deadlock and inferior in every way as a prime example so why the hell would I use a inferior perk. Let me explain.
Merciless storm blocks the gen for 20 seconds, and is not guaranteed to work, in fact the entire perk is a wasted slot if the swf hits the skill checks and does nothing.
Dead lock is a guaranteed 30 second block and can happen multiple times guaranteed, take 30 seconds and multiply it by the gens being done. That is MASSIVELY better thab merciless storm. Merciless storm is just a shit dead lock.
The only use you can get is to combo it with regression and you would have to get the effect in the first place which isnt guaranteed! Dead lock needs the gen to completed which is bad for stopping that gen since you can no longer regress it.
Dead lock is stil Superior. The other regress perks are also superior. Any perks thay slow down gens, keep surviors off gens or block them are almost always superior to other perks as a killer.
I think logically about the perks, this is why I like Hex: Play thing, most surviors want to remove the hex. Lets say it takes 20 seconds to find and remove it, times it by 4 surviors and thats at least 80 seconds of them not doing gens.
The other perks need BUFFED or the killer needs a new build in base kit debuff or buff they can apply. I have no other build options to stand a chance against a swf. I am not joking, I've tried so many builds and they suck at stopping a swf.
Oppression for example is ass, that shit needs a buff, regressing 3 gens sound awesome at first until you realize even after 10 seconds of regression the gen is still full bar and surviors can just stay on the gen.
Perks like that need to be stronger, example, it apply a debuff on everyone who misses the skill check or something.
Other perks like hysteria are ass. Why the fuck would I want to lose my terror radius after hitting a survivor that only last 30 seconds when I'm still going to have to continue chasing that same survivor to down them. Perks like this are dumb as shit and defeat itself.
Perks like that need buffed and the no terror radius needs to apply when the killer can actually make use of it, not when they are clearly in a damn chase, dumb as shit. Having no terror radius is uesless if the person is watching you chase them and its on a 30 second timer.
70% or more of those killer perks need changed or buffed, because those other perks I listed are superior 90% of the time on most killers.
#2 Playing perfectly as killer you can still hold the L and be punished.
The begging of this video is a prime example, you can play the loop perfectly, break the pallets as fast as you can, and yet you still are punished and cannot ever catch the survior before the gens punish you for staying in chase.
You cannot drop the chase either because I know some low skill noob is going to say to drop the chase, you can't! A high skilled swf team are all equally as good as the first person looping your ass into oblivion! All dropping the first chase will do is ensure more gens pop! Its a complete waste to drop a chase against a good swf because you still have to chase SOMEONE! That next someone is going to loop you just the same as the first, thus you are back to square one only this time you wasted more time dropping the chase ans beging from the start!
So your choices are 1. Keep chase while the player runs every pallet/loop in the game and then gens pop. Or. 2. Drop chase thinking there is a weak link, only to find out the new survivor you are chasing is just as good and they loop every remaining pallet/loop and you still lose
What do you expect from the killer, what the hell do you think the killer is supposed to do when he hasn't made any mistakes and is unable to down amyone?

FACE CAMPING!
When a low skilled player face camps its because they want a kill and think they are good at the game and purposely want to use that tactic to win.
When a high skilled player face camps its because they have no other logical choice to win or they have accepted the L and now want to take as many people out with them!
The last sentence is most true!
A highly skilled person face camping has already accepted the situation and doesn't care about your gens being popped anymore, all they care about now is taking 1-2 players with them.
The mindset is "if I played perfectly and can't stop these gens or get a down, and I have to take this loss, then 1-2 of you are also taking a loss by me face camping you once I get a hold of you"
Its basically payback for the unfairness that was put against the killer.
In a average game where surviors are not coordinated, high skilled players don't have a reason to face camp other than to troll.
Against coordinated surviors, face camping should be expected when you have so many ways to cheese.
I'll give you another prime example.
People who run boil over, flip flop, they purposely run to parts of the map where the killer cannot get a hook unless they have iron grasps. If you add in body blocking the killer literally cannot counter it!
This is when you get slugged then cry about how the killer is cheesing when really the killer is just cheesing you because of you cheesing him, and the swf still has the advantage because it takes forever to bleed out and they can do gens and eacape!
I main killer but play both roles, when I'm a survivor, I can loop combo every damn pallet and waste the killers time so much its not even funny.
Only killers like nurse, pyramid head, blah blah have a better chance, what about all your other kills who can't do shit? Fuck them I guess.
Buff the shit perks, loops/pallets should not be able to waste multiple minutes of a killers time with no downside, and there shouldn't be 4 fucking windows in a 5 foot radius.
I'm not even bias, I play to win in each role and Killers have a lack of options. Half the perks don't even work on certain killers, let alone do anything meaningful.
Wow! I lost my terror radius during a chase in which they still see me! So effective! Wow, I made the survivor exposed for 8 seconds but by then they are already unexposed by the time you catch them! Best perk designs ever!
Fucking useless, the perks I mentioned ealrier are superior to almost every killer perk and that was off the top of my head, I'm not going through them all.
So Killers dont feel so much pressure, the maps should be slightly smaller. There are some big maps that as a killer you have to play perfectly otherwise you wont stand a chance. OR, make killers walk faster..
It's for the best, the more they nerf camping the more the devs will see how shitty the killers are and how strong some maps are. We need camping nerfd so bad that they will be forced to buff killers as they loose players and matchmaking que times skyrocket.

Dead lock is a guaranteed 30 second block and can happen multiple times guaranteed, take 30 seconds and multiply it by the gens being done. That is MASSIVELY better thab merciless storm. Merciless storm is just a shit dead lock.
The only use you can get is to combo it with regression and you would have to get the effect in the first place which isnt guaranteed! Dead lock needs the gen to completed which is bad for stopping that gen since you can no longer regress it.
Dead lock is stil Superior. The other regress perks are also superior. Any perks thay slow down gens, keep surviors off gens or block them are almost always superior to other perks as a killer.
I think logically about the perks, this is why I like Hex: Play thing, most surviors want to remove the hex. Lets say it takes 20 seconds to find and remove it, times it by 4 surviors and thats at least 80 seconds of them not doing gens.
The other perks need BUFFED or the killer needs a new build in base kit debuff or buff they can apply. I have no other build options to stand a chance against a swf. I am not joking, I've tried so many builds and they suck at stopping a swf.
Oppression for example is ass, that shit needs a buff, regressing 3 gens sound awesome at first until you realize even after 10 seconds of regression the gen is still full bar and surviors can just stay on the gen.
Perks like that need to be stronger, example, it apply a debuff on everyone who misses the skill check or something.
Other perks like hysteria are ass. Why the fuck would I want to lose my terror radius after hitting a survivor that only last 30 seconds when I'm still going to have to continue chasing that same survivor to down them. Perks like this are dumb as shit and defeat itself.
Perks like that need buffed and the no terror radius needs to apply when the killer can actually make use of it, not when they are clearly in a damn chase, dumb as shit. Having no terror radius is uesless if the person is watching you chase them and its on a 30 second timer.
70% or more of those killer perks need changed or buffed, because those other perks I listed are superior 90% of the time on most killers.
#2 Playing perfectly as killer you can still hold the L and be punished.
The begging of this video is a prime example, you can play the loop perfectly, break the pallets as fast as you can, and yet you still are punished and cannot ever catch the survior before the gens punish you for staying in chase.
You cannot drop the chase either because I know some low skill noob is going to say to drop the chase, you can't! A high skilled swf team are all equally as good as the first person looping your ass into oblivion! All dropping the first chase will do is ensure more gens pop! Its a complete waste to drop a chase against a good swf because you still have to chase SOMEONE! That next someone is going to loop you just the same as the first, thus you are back to square one only this time you wasted more time dropping the chase ans beging from the start!
So your choices are 1. Keep chase while the player runs every pallet/loop in the game and then gens pop. Or. 2. Drop chase thinking there is a weak link, only to find out the new survivor you are chasing is just as good and they loop every remaining pallet/loop and you still lose
What do you expect from the killer, what the hell do you think the killer is supposed to do when he hasn't made any mistakes and is unable to down amyone?

When a low skilled player face camps its because they want a kill and think they are good at the game and purposely want to use that tactic to win.
When a high skilled player face camps its because they have no other logical choice to win or they have accepted the L and now want to take as many people out with them!
The last sentence is most true!
A highly skilled person face camping has already accepted the situation and doesn't care about your gens being popped anymore, all they care about now is taking 1-2 players with them.
The mindset is "if I played perfectly and can't stop these gens or get a down, and I have to take this loss, then 1-2 of you are also taking a loss by me face camping you once I get a hold of you"
Its basically payback for the unfairness that was put against the killer.
In a average game where surviors are not coordinated, high skilled players don't have a reason to face camp other than to troll.
Against coordinated surviors, face camping should be expected when you have so many ways to cheese.
I'll give you another prime example.
People who run boil over, flip flop, they purposely run to parts of the map where the killer cannot get a hook unless they have iron grasps. If you add in body blocking the killer literally cannot counter it!
This is when you get slugged then cry about how the killer is cheesing when really the killer is just cheesing you because of you cheesing him, and the swf still has the advantage because it takes forever to bleed out and they can do gens and eacape!
I main killer but play both roles, when I'm a survivor, I can loop combo every damn pallet and waste the killers time so much its not even funny.
Only killers like nurse, pyramid head, blah blah have a better chance, what about all your other kills who can't do shit? Fuck them I guess.
Buff the shit perks, loops/pallets should not be able to waste multiple minutes of a killers time with no downside, and there shouldn't be 4 fucking windows in a 5 foot radius.
I'm not even bias, I play to win in each role and Killers have a lack of options. Half the perks don't even work on certain killers, let alone do anything meaningful.
Wow! I lost my terror radius during a chase in which they still see me! So effective! Wow, I made the survivor exposed for 8 seconds but by then they are already unexposed by the time you catch them! Best perk designs ever!
Fucking useless, the perks I mentioned ealrier are superior to almost every killer perk and that was off the top of my head, I'm not going through them all.

So Killers dont feel so much pressure, the maps should be slightly smaller. There are some big maps that as a killer you have to play perfectly otherwise you wont stand a chance. OR, make killers walk faster..
