Sable is attractive, it’s pretty unsurprising that the least attractive survivors get the least attention. They already don’t sell, so like… why bother sticking makeup on a pig 😂

Yeah, that's fair. All the characters are poorly written though. Regardless, they knew what they were doing when making her.

I can't say that any of the survivors are "well written" and i enjoy reading the lore when it drops its just not really a strong point of this game imo.
Yeah, most people who play Sable don't give two hoots about her lore and would probably agree that it's terrible.
They play her because she's hot. They play her because she comes with a default aesthetic that's been missing from the roster so far.
Most of them are probably former Feng mains.
All of this applies to me.
Not a hole lot of pretty characters in the game, which is why people play Sable a lot lol.
I dont like sable for a few reason: first her voice, ok this problem is not only a sable problem, the second one is a friend of mine, she annoyes me with sable on purpose 😅
than her baselook and lore is something that reminds me about my teenage time where I was creating terrible cringe OCs, she is like this kind of Ocs, BUT with a smal makeover
and in terms of the community contest – there is always hate against the artists and I hate it, last year there was hate about both winners, this one claudette skin got hate (and I think we should just put all the cosmetics, badgeds and banners in the game)
Me just waiting for a Jill skin…..or upgrades to legendary skins
I'll be blunt the survivor skins in the context were utter garbage compare to Sable's skin. I don't even care about the character but every other design looked bad.
I think for Sable, the whole "Yum. I love the darkness" is for a big part a facade. If you read her lore, it says that she started "flirting with the dark side" partially because it freaked out her parents who didn't care about her or her interests. It's to get a reaction and the attention that her parents wouldn't give her otherwise. It's her attempt to rebel against the picture perfect image that her parents try to keep up. To her, the horror, death and scary things are more real and authentic than the delusions of her parents and it's something that gives her identity, something that makes her feel less invisible. While she has genuine interest for spooky and gross things, I think she's exaggerating it and trying to put up this tough persona who loves monsters and scary things, and that's why she says cringey things like "I get the feeling something bad is about to happen. Yum." But in reality I think she is scared. She knows that death is around the corner and nobody is getting out alive. I think she's afraid of it but she pretends to be all casual to push the fear away.
Sable didn't just go into the fog "because it was sooo coool", she did it because she thought it was her fault that Mikaela and Mikaela's roommate got taken by the entity: "But a strange, black fog had taken Mikaela during her performance and Sable felt the icy hand of guilt grab her by the back of the neck. She was convinced that she had somehow sent Mikaela to her doom." She started investigating the disappearances and a possible way to get Mikaela back because she felt guilty. When she's looking for Mikaela in the movie theater, she gets scared of the fog: "The same cold, black fog that had taken Mikaela. Sable considered running back up the stairs to where she would be safe". While the story ends with the cringe thought "she wasn’t going to let her best friend have all the fun", it would make sense if that was also her just acting tough so she wouldn't chicken out. If you listen to her voice lines in-game, they also show that she isn't so into the "fun" and spookiness of the fog after all. A lot of them say something about staying away or running away from the fog and how "we are screwed", and there's even one that says "Okay. I want to wake up now. Seriously.". On the surface she does come across as some kind of caricature but I don't think that's the whole truth. While she definitely isn't the most unique and complex character to ever exist, I think she still has some depth to her. Considering how few people actually read the full lore of DBD characters, I think hers has a decent amount of effort put into it.
BHVR shouldn't give them anything if they're going to throw a massive tantrum. They only wanted to give Haddie a free win just to shut the vocal 1% up.
I don't like her because she the character that feels the most corporate-made. In the sense that she feels like she wasn't designed and written by a writer that wanted to make something creative and unique, but by a market analyst trying to make the most appealing character for the target audience. It's almost insulting like that, and it especially stings when you see how well that approach works for them. I like DBD and I want it to make money, but it's way too blatant imo. But again, it's not really a big deal, nor do I play her or really care if others do. This is just why she rubs me the wrong way personally.

In my opinion i just hate Sable in the current contest not because she is there but because the contest is about being creative and original. And for that, the Sable skin in the contest looks incredibly boring and basic to me, considering something else than just edgy hot goth girl could be created for once
No disrespect or hate towards Pixel Bush, but I find his argument, when less, hypocritical. His sole stated reason to dislike Sable is that “her lore is written like a bad fan fiction”, okay, so far so good, that’s his opinion. But then he has zero problems with his new main: Skull Merchant? What? Again, no disrespect or hate (that’s the last thing I intend to express), but his argument, when stated like that, falls on its own.
I main ash but I been playing sable literally only for a specific skin combo that I think looks clean, but yeah sables character is dog water and I do groan a little as killer when there's like 2 or more sables in one lobby I'm not mad about it or gonna cause a fuss I just wish I saw more variety ig

A whole lot'a nothingburger about some skin contest and some people who do not like Sabel. Who cares about this? This could've been a 2 minute video but this guy just had to milk the whole 10 minutes for ads lol.
Sable is currently experiencing the Wesker effect. Remember when Wesker was just straight up hated because of over-saturation?
Sable very much has her place in DBD because we've been needing a more stereotypical goth/alt character, and she's great for that. Just don't read her lore because it seriously looks AI generated or was written by a dev's 14 year old daughter who just "isn't like the other girls."

Definitely chose sable as my main because she looks cool and because she’s hated 😂😂
