Im pretty sure you actually have to have them off the hook to get credit for the mom hit . Its a weird one though sometimes you get it sometimes you dont . Like you said mom is a really buggy perk

I think something's happened with the healing triggers recently – seems like it takes forever for the prompt to pop up to start a heal on someone now, especially after an unhook.
I started using the look up tech after getting a pallet stun and now I have killers face camping me, they definitely weren’t really before. Finally got to use out that free deliverance so thank you😂
