i know this is really serious news, but that game with the giant oni would be such a cool gamemode. just a big killer and a lot of survivors and you just have to try and cut down the horde

That's what's bin fuckin happening I kept getting kicked when I was about to win but if I let them kick my ass then go nuts with a full slug it was a 50/50 if the dc would happen I thought it was my wifi

Pretty sure its either because of their modified source engine, or those pro players really did install hacks themselves. Not sure how you'd be able to infect someone on dbd midgame through dedicated servers anyways. It's not like garrys mod or community servers that make you install maps & addons before playing.

I hate hackers. In my opinion, they ruin the game. Whats to stop them from stealing private information and bank information? I had that happen to me before. So, am I concerned that it could happen again, Hell Yes!
After todays PTB my motivation to play DbD is at an all time low.

Choy did 5 seconds of research and his script kittys that “earn money from it” are just straight factually wrong. Destroyer2009 cheated in an official apex server and spawned a bunch of npcs(that means he just straight up has developer console in NORMAL GAMES)before so the theory of “they downloaded cheats” is just straight up stupid. Also your logic of “no way someone will lose out on keeping this exploit a secret for trolling” is kinda proven wrong by the fact that 4chan is a thing lmao

A few days ago I have the vod but I should clip it I got into a match with some crossplay players and the match just started with all survivors icons changing to escaping to a exit and the match result came up and before I could say anything on chat I was disconnected from server so not only couldn't I say anything in end game chat it said I lost connection which is not possible I was live on Twitch the match end with me losing a flan and I got 0 bp while all survivors got 30k for exiting

Ubisoft has had their servers hacked in the past and I don't think anyone ever got punished.
Or… chances are these two streamers might already have installed aimbot and started manufacture, and before you say "thats absurd" trust me there used to be the cases of "pro" players who are essentially cheaters but managed to get famous enough to end up in one of the tournaments (KQLY from CSGO comes to my mind)

Yea I believe they were using cheats for sure. Not during tournaments, but maybe offline in their free time for fun or something
VR charts also know the game that uses easy anti-cheat and this is just embarrassing this is why if I ever do make games I'm going to use true anti-cheat ones that are actually well known and well and not just an easy method of dealing with them because if people are able to just do that yeah
Cheating is a huge deterrent to playing dbd right now. I love this game but it's rough at the moment.

There were always cheaters in DBD, they just did it subtle, now it's in plain view for everybody to see. Either everybody should be able to manipulate the game or nobody, it's a win no matter how this turns out.

A good way to counter all of this is if companies that make online games have a few developers that are hired to test out different cheats and cheat menus so they have a way of by experience find and understand when people are cheating.

Wait, you didn't mentioned how cheaters can do stuff to other survivors so they would cheat as well. Like one time I had a surv that had Hope without Hope and funny thing happened early on. A killer was carrying me to hook, she placed a Dark Theory totem and at the same time I got like 50% wiggle progress in once skillcheck, which made my next an escape. I assumed she was a cheater, because it was weird and as a killer I've experienced that too fast wiggle (and I knew neither I or my 2 friends were cheating) – on the other hand, I was wondering if by any chance it could've been a bug – after all it didn't happen again in that game.
Sad part is that unless you see suspicious behavior you can't be sure if it's not just bugged game, because DBD has a friendly relationship with different kinds of bugs (outside of actual bugs, strangely enough, despite that them being horror related).
Btw. to this day I'm not sure if I had 2 insanely lucky survs that unhooked themselves on first try without Deli or luck perks, or if they were subtle cheaters (there were 2 left, I hooked first, went for the other, they unhooked themself, then hooked the other went for first and the other self unhooked).

This is really concerning, my game loses network connection a lot when Im about to win or winning by attrition. Even more when im streaming, even tho my connection is perfect.
I just had 4 hackers in my game at once idk how much I can play this game anymore it’s at least 1 in 10 games this happens

I've had a few people in my pre-game lobbies following me on twitch in some different matches…I was the killer
So…… I have to swap my bild last second again, like back in the day when hackers could determine what your killer was, so you swapped killer 10s before the game started.
I can do that. It will be funny to see all the Distortion Users on a build without aura reading.
