PTB Trickster was dumb and the Death Thrones Comp + Main Event combo needed to go, but the reduction in throwing speed across the board feels bad.

  1. i love the no recoil and the movement speed. i thought that was all they needed to the old trickster and he'd be fun. but now throwing knives feels like molasses and getting 8 knives before the laceration meter goes away…it's honestly faster to m1 in like 90% of the time. so he feels like an m1 killer with no useful power. hitting someone slowly with 6 blades only for them not to get injured feels soooo bad. straight up just unfun. it feels like you are doing a lot of work for little pay off.

  2. This is definitely just wrong of me and biased but… I truly cannot stand playing against this killer so I'm not the slightest bit upset about him being even worse. I hope to god even less people play him.

  3. RIP DBD as a killer player. I have lost all faith in the devs when it comes to the killer side of playing and they have shown they are OVERLY scared to put any kind of strong killer out now. With an incoming 3 gen fix (???) because survivors are OVERLY stupid and can't under stand a simple "don't leave the last 3 gens on one side of the map" problem now the devs need to help them AGAIN (Base kit deliverance and anti-camp). I almost bought Chucky but nah the roadmap was enough to put the cover on the coffin for me.

  4. Trickster is the only killer in the game (besides Plague) that I don't play. However, the PTB version was really refreshing and a lot of fun imo. Sure he was problematic, but he still felt like a new killer to me, which turned him from my most hated killer to one of the most fun killers to play. At the moment Trickster feels awful again. I can't put my finger on the problems exactly, but he's almost as unfun to play as he was before the changes.

  5. Ive been a trickster main ever since i got to try him on ptb. I always loved his gameplay, but 1 game with new trickster made me not want to play him at all while killer queues are still bloated from Chucky's release.

  6. I used to play Trickster a lot because I liked the mechanic that increased throw rate after consecutive throws and made main event throw knives even faster. He feels terrible right now, and these slow throw rates make me think that playing with knives is not worth the risk. (pulling out knives / cancelling)

  7. As someone who hates Trickster, I wish he was even worse so people wouldn't play him. I don't want balance changes, I want a legitimate full rework. Keep his bat for his M1. Power should change entirely. He is boring. He is lame.

  8. removing the ramp up removes some of the flavor and character trickster had, imo

    you had either or both implications of his ramp up: rising bloodlust (not the mechanic) or just a display of his skill/mastery by throwing quicker

  9. I tend to play trickster more like i would a huntress, meaning i would throw a knife here and there, so these changes don't really affect me. I mean, to me this sounds like a good change, because it removes the ability to just spam knives at a person stuck in an animation and getting a free damage state. I haven't played much so I'd have to see more about it to form a more concrete opinion but overall it appears positive.
