Find a way to bring in more players the games dying
I recently finally got a PC and I had been playing DBD on console for a while, but when I downloaded DBD I opened the game and I just emediately felt burned out from just one game, but with new game modes I feel I will definitely be more into on coming back
They just need to do more game modes and quality of life improvements.
It's a simple problem with a very… VERY simple solution: ahem… cough… ahem hmmm hmm… ok…

i really want a month just for QOL only no chapters just clean up the game and fix everything that’s giving us issues eg bugs etc…
My only complaint is everyone is out to just maim each other lately. I'm a casual player and I play this game to escape as a horror fan but lately you cannot go one match regardless of side without the side your facing bringing builds and tactics specifically made to infuriate and maim the other. I had an example recently where I was playing solo queue I brought a silly build of self care solidarity reactive healing and botany knowledge. not only did the killer tunnel me out my own team turned on me in end game chat because I'm and I quote "not taking the game seriously enough." What is the point of being a casual in this game if 87% of players have this mindset. Ive been playing since silent hill and I've been floating the idea of dropping it constantly which is shame because Ive spent hours and countless dollars on a game I legitimately love.

I just want them to focus on the multiple bugs focus on giving players more to work with as in settings, I’m tired of my switch port trying to run the same graphics as an Xbox series S/PS5 and refocusing the game to be funnier for survivor
Whatever is next for DBD one thing is guaranteed, BHVR will break something that wasn't broken before.
We need a ranked and u ranked option. Theres so many sweats, they need a place to fight each other and not ruin the gane for casual players
The future is not great and the game is going to die soon idk why people try so hard to think this game is still good. Just accept the game is dying and move on. Their are tons of better games than dbd
As someone who has played the game since early 2019 it runs better then it ever has but people treat it like an esport at this point mmr has turned this game into a sweat fest and if you don't play with at least 3 good people survivor feels so weak and unless I'm wrong it's the majority of the player base that only plays survivor so it's not surprising people don't want to take this game as serious as other games like COD, rust, even fortnite and etc it was meant to be a party game and now it's here that you have to try your hardest every single game it's gonna turn people away
BHVR needs to address the toxicity of the community in a MAJOR way or the game will continue to stagnate until it eventually dies, the big licenses were a band aid fix for Steam Charts

I have been gone from the game for almost 2 years now however seeing that Alan wake is now in the game I’m so exited to jump back in, i sure hope they expand with new game mods and maybe some cool new mechanics.
I love dbd but if I'm being honest I stopped playing dbd because it's no longer the game I started playing.
For me it changed too much and the constant perk changes and new mechanics and UI changes put me off the game.
The sense of tension in a match was completely taken away when I was able to see what all my teammates were doing.
I think new players are coming in and older players are leaving and that's why it's sitting even in players.
dbd needs a health update imo, like what r6s did once. instead of a normal chapter, just fix a ton of issues with the game, several killer changes to make the strongest killers weaker, and the weakest killers stronger. map updates, reworks to killers (twins, Freddy? trapper, etc.) perk updates so the same 4 killer perks and same 4 survivor perks aren't in every single lobby. bug fixes that have been in the game forever i.e. fix plague's sound and fix spectator cam etc. addon updates. and quality of life features that the community have asked for (one i think of is when you get a skill check as you get off a gen) this all isn't as exciting as a new chapter but would help the game in the long run.
The reason why DBD player base hasn’t spiked up despite the license content is kinda simple.
Many horror fans who play video games most likely already bought DBD. I’m pretty sure if Jason joins DBD there wouldn’t be a huge spike as Jason fans have already bought DBD.
I think for us to see a spike would be a new game mode. Especially a 2v8 where killers can play with their friends.
If they're gonna make gamemodes, then they have to abandon making Chapters.

The core issue for me is the fact that everyone plays exactly the same way. It's an online game and it could be elevated so much if people would bring their own individuality to the game instead of just copying and pasting the same play styles. It would be so awesome to be able to play a match and not be able to guess the build as soon as you see who the killer is. I truly believe the only reason there are balance issues is due to the fact that people only experience like 5% if the game running the same perks and builds. I get bored with survivor because killers all run the same perks and builds and as soon as a new YT video comes out with a build that's all you see. I don't play killer because this is magnified times 4 with survivors doing the same and it's just boring. I don't run meta builds for this reason as to not be part of the problem. Power Struggle OP.
Just adding new content like skins and characters isn't going to cut it in the long run. Having iconic characters will draw people in, but once they experience solo queue as survivor they'll either become killer mains or leave the game. They need to make the main gameplay loop more casual friendly. You shouldn't need thousands of hours in game time to be even remotely competitive and an asset to your team. Killers shouldn't be incentiviced to camp, tunnel, slug. Survivors shouldn't be incentivized to act selfishly and hide in a corner all game.
I really think it's a toss up, and it's completely up to BHVR, but this is their make-or-break year
If they try, it'll be their biggest year yet
If they don't try, and just release new dlc, it's gonna hurt their rep a lot
You have seen a steep decline in the player count ever since patch 6.1. I don’t think it will recover from that. The player base is also a huge problem. Survivors play for themselves in solo queue and killers play how all the streamers tell them. Tunnel out the first player and you win 90% of the time. Also it seems like survivors just DC when they come up against certain killers constantly could mean that maybe those killers need to be reworked. Even the blight “nerf” actually buffs him. Like I don’t know what the devs thought with that.
"proabably getting 2v8" any confirmation on that? anything official? I have only heard about that weird light in fog thing where you have to use flashlights to see.
I reeeeallly want 2v8, like that kinda depends if im continuing to play the game or not, im basicly enjoying the game right now but i know 100% when 2v8 aint coming im probably gone.
Given the major licenses of this year didn't skyrocket the playercount, they REALLY need to focus on game health this year

I def enjoyed the licenses, but I can't wait for some new original content from BHVR. New game modes will be fun, but I know cheaters are also waiting on this, to create more problems.
