  1. The racism argument is dumb as hell. She doesn't get more cosmetics because she's white. She gets more cosmetics because people play tf outta her. People play tf outta her because she's goth and people like that aesthetic these days. By their dumbass logic, that makes Feng also racist because of the amount of cosmetics she gets.

Lets not forget the leatherface situation where they took face skins out because people were being racist little butt heads. BHVR isn't racist.

  2. I like how ppl keep bitching about meaningless cosmetics instead of noticing other more important issues. Community is f*d and there is nothing to do about it focus should be gameplay, NOT dumb skins…

  3. I think the problem is that, once any inclusive media is released, a very vocal minority of people (specifically online) scrutinize every aspect of that media for any perceived or real flaws and use the tiniest things to decide whether or not the devs/crew/etc are actually terrible people. It's happened with every single piece of diverse media. Like, DBD has some of the most inclusive devs and events and in-game lore/charms I've ever seen. And as someone who's part of a marginalized community, I'm tired of people acting like the devs are secretly horrible. Sure, every aspect of media that represents us may not be great, but at least we're getting it. Criticize, constructively, the parts you see as poor, but don't just immediately go to an extreme of "these people are awful!" when it doesn't meet your standards. Being like this will only make people see the community as a joke or aggressive instead of open to criticism.

  4. While in games I agree with that statement, in movies or shows it's a bit different regarding fictional characters. Some are literally made to be hated, in movies it's a sign of really good acting if you manage to make your character hated. That is just the viewer being immersed into the fiction.

In dbd's case, it is mainly just a skin the people are hating, barely does anything or barely talks, has no real character and is hated by people just because they feel like it, actively sandbagging players who play that character, that is pathetic.

  5. "If you spend even a second of your time legitimately hating a fictional character, that's kinda pathetic"
aaaaaand the entire video is worthless, sorry bro. L take.
if your discourse over fictional characters begins with "they're fictional," you are immediately taking the point out of context just to feel big and cool. nobody's arguing like sable ward is a real person, try to keep the conversation relative to itself instead of countering a point literally nobody made.

  6. Sure, going against the same killer over and over gets old, because it directly impacts the game and how it's played

Going against the same survivor over and over is just what it is, and, short of game-breaking bugs, doesn't affect how the game is played

In other words, and for instances like these: "Get over it, and more importantly, get over yourself"

  7. Ah yes BHVR is racist because a white character is getting more skins. DbD Twitter deserves an Olympic medal for the mental gymnastics they are performing.
Sable gets more skins because she is popular simply because people just like goth girls. There’s really nothing more to it

  8. Its so stupid, shes still popular to the general audience of the game. Most people in the DBD community is a small, vocal fraction of the entire playerbase at large that is chronically online.

I knew Sable would be popular when she released, shes cute. I like her design. The devs apparently knew as well, so they released a bunch of skins. It’s completely fine to ask for more skins for a survivor, its weird af to hate her character cuz that wont even contribute to what you want.

This also isn’t even a race issue like a few people have stated. If Sable was a different race but cute and goth, she would be just as popular. They just made her white in this case. Im mexican and it would be cool to see more rep for characters that are but its not really the fault of Sable as a character

also a side note, there are some edgelords in the dbd community but tbh the community is significantly less racist than other game communities I am a part of. R6 was a fucking nightmare. Any anime based game has little hitlers running around. DBD has the occasional edgelord saying a slur here and there but thats about it. The devs are pretty open minded and add diversity in the game which does reflect on the community. I notice games that dont have that, are generally racist af unless its a niche game. Like ROR2 or deep rock
