Cosmetic releases should be bound to playrate. If a survivor is played less he should get more cosmetics, while survivor who get played more should get less cosmetics
The video didn't have sound at the start, so i kept watching waiting for the Scott punchline. Turns out my headphones were unplugged this time. Damn you Scott!
I think the hate comes from these 3 things: she is popular like Feng, thirst trap like Vittorio and she has the bad teammate steriotype like Megs and Mikaelas
The racism argument is dumb as hell. She doesn't get more cosmetics because she's white. She gets more cosmetics because people play tf outta her. People play tf outta her because she's goth and people like that aesthetic these days. By their dumbass logic, that makes Feng also racist because of the amount of cosmetics she gets.
Lets not forget the leatherface situation where they took face skins out because people were being racist little butt heads. BHVR isn't racist.
I like how ppl keep bitching about meaningless cosmetics instead of noticing other more important issues. Community is f*d and there is nothing to do about it focus should be gameplay, NOT dumb skins…
I think the problem is that, once any inclusive media is released, a very vocal minority of people (specifically online) scrutinize every aspect of that media for any perceived or real flaws and use the tiniest things to decide whether or not the devs/crew/etc are actually terrible people. It's happened with every single piece of diverse media. Like, DBD has some of the most inclusive devs and events and in-game lore/charms I've ever seen. And as someone who's part of a marginalized community, I'm tired of people acting like the devs are secretly horrible. Sure, every aspect of media that represents us may not be great, but at least we're getting it. Criticize, constructively, the parts you see as poor, but don't just immediately go to an extreme of "these people are awful!" when it doesn't meet your standards. Being like this will only make people see the community as a joke or aggressive instead of open to criticism.
The fact that people are just suggesting racism alone is ridiculous, bias, popularity, or liking one more than the other. Okay sure. But racism is just sad…
While in games I agree with that statement, in movies or shows it's a bit different regarding fictional characters. Some are literally made to be hated, in movies it's a sign of really good acting if you manage to make your character hated. That is just the viewer being immersed into the fiction.
In dbd's case, it is mainly just a skin the people are hating, barely does anything or barely talks, has no real character and is hated by people just because they feel like it, actively sandbagging players who play that character, that is pathetic.
"If you spend even a second of your time legitimately hating a fictional character, that's kinda pathetic" aaaaaand the entire video is worthless, sorry bro. L take. if your discourse over fictional characters begins with "they're fictional," you are immediately taking the point out of context just to feel big and cool. nobody's arguing like sable ward is a real person, try to keep the conversation relative to itself instead of countering a point literally nobody made.
Ah yes BHVR is racist because a white character is getting more skins. DbD Twitter deserves an Olympic medal for the mental gymnastics they are performing. Sable gets more skins because she is popular simply because people just like goth girls. There’s really nothing more to it
Its so stupid, shes still popular to the general audience of the game. Most people in the DBD community is a small, vocal fraction of the entire playerbase at large that is chronically online.
I knew Sable would be popular when she released, shes cute. I like her design. The devs apparently knew as well, so they released a bunch of skins. It’s completely fine to ask for more skins for a survivor, its weird af to hate her character cuz that wont even contribute to what you want.
This also isn’t even a race issue like a few people have stated. If Sable was a different race but cute and goth, she would be just as popular. They just made her white in this case. Im mexican and it would be cool to see more rep for characters that are but its not really the fault of Sable as a character
also a side note, there are some edgelords in the dbd community but tbh the community is significantly less racist than other game communities I am a part of. R6 was a fucking nightmare. Any anime based game has little hitlers running around. DBD has the occasional edgelord saying a slur here and there but thats about it. The devs are pretty open minded and add diversity in the game which does reflect on the community. I notice games that dont have that, are generally racist af unless its a niche game. Like ROR2 or deep rock
Wasn't the reason why Haddie shipped with less cosmetics that one of her recolors was a Twitch Prime exclusive for some reason? Like yeah it sucked and it was a bad call, but the cosmetic did exist.
The only fictional character i hate is Clear Sky. (but he is mend to be hated)
If you know you know.
I've NEVER seen a sable player w brain. Never played w a good sable player, they might have a lot of skins but they're terrible in game.
Sable is so hated she had 288 entries on R34…
@scottjund can you link the website in the descirption of the video? i cant find it.
Cosmetic releases should be bound to playrate. If a survivor is played less he should get more cosmetics, while survivor who get played more should get less cosmetics
I think ppl hate the players who play her
5:25 5:36 that's the most Twitter shit I've ever heard
The video didn't have sound at the start, so i kept watching waiting for the Scott punchline. Turns out my headphones were unplugged this time.
Damn you Scott!
I tunnel all Sables so I'm pathetic
It's ex Dota/LoL support players being triggered by the word "Ward"
I think the hate comes from these 3 things: she is popular like Feng, thirst trap like Vittorio and she has the bad teammate steriotype like Megs and Mikaelas
the human ward
How do people think sable gets more cosmetics? Everytime I open the game I see a new Kate skin not sable
I'm so glad I deleted Twitter

You don't understand. Sable hasn't come to real life to date me yet, thus she's evil and deserves the hate.

???
People Hate her?
lol not the gaming youtuber telling people to go outside
I think people like her because she’s hot🤷🏼♂️ it’s really that simple. Hottest character in the game
The fact that people are just suggesting racism alone is ridiculous, bias, popularity, or liking one more than the other. Okay sure. But racism is just sad…
Seeing people just being racist to Scott because of this video is absolutely ridiculous.
She's an incel magnet character, I think people just hate the people who play her.
Good lord, people are annoying huh…

news to me, me and everyone I know adore Sable
Half of the Sable commissions were filled with salty comments.
Obviously the more skins a character gets the more popular they could become. They could have multiple big characters if they balanced skins
"If you spend even a second of your time legitimately hating a fictional character, that's kinda pathetic"

DBD twitter is a classroom 3 minutes after the teacher left the premisses. This is just another chewed gum under the desk.
I think the funny thing is that there's effectively no difference between survivors besides cosmetics, so hating a survivor in this game does nothing
Who hates Sable? In what parallel universe are you browsing around?
If you want to be mad at a fictional character, get mad at Shou Tucker!
or goddamn Micah
I'm sorry you went to Twitter
I love sable ward 😏
Sure, going against the same killer over and over gets old, because it directly impacts the game and how it's played
Going against the same survivor over and over is just what it is, and, short of game-breaking bugs, doesn't affect how the game is played
In other words, and for instances like these: "Get over it, and more importantly, get over yourself"
From writer point fictional characters exist to make the reader to feel all kinds of emotions, so you rather bad with words or make no sense.

scott obviously never read berserk 💔

I don't hate her, I hate what chronically online people are doing to her.
if i am up against a sable i will be sure to kiss her on the forehead and give her a werther's original before sending her on her way
