  1. Im gonna be fully honest, i got into dbd when the stranger things chapter came out (i think), because i just finished the show (what was available back then) and was interested if they made any shitty games already, so i looked it up on steam…..

  2. I started playing because of my Mom. My whole life I’ve been a horror fan, and she always told me about a NoES game she played back in her day. I told this tp a friend I met in Friday the 13th (precisely during a match) and she answered that there was a game similar to F13 where I could play as Freddy, who became my first main.

Gotta tell you, nowadays… I think I only do it because of the money I’ve pit into it. I rarely have fun no more, and my rivals are always not only super skilled but even more sweaty, as of their mother’s life was on the line. I also ran into one of the Fog Whisperers, who I admired, but turned out to be not only the sweatiest sweatiest killer I’ve ever come across, but a jerk as well, and a sore winner. That and the disgusting buff to the vaults killed a lot of the interest I had left. I hope things somehow change when Alien drops.

  3. i watched db d content since 2020 because my friends were big dbd enjoyers back then but i never played the actual game until now as i just started like 2-3weeks ago ish and now all i play is dbd along with my ofc free to play crossout. survivor gameplay seems hard for me and i prefer killer over survivor i just love the chase and the countless M1 misses when i absolutely getting destroyed XD i think dbd is a very fun game also very chill which i dont even understand why this community has the most toxicity…. btw got the game for free on epic but still spent a good amount of money on it because i just wanted to buy more killers and also bought nicolas cage as well in case i play survivor XD

  4. I played around the time it first came out. But only for a little while. Left it to play other things as it was quite difficult being that if you are found you are just dead. Left for a while and came back around when myers came in. Played for a while and left again to concentrate on life things. Then came back again after resident evil chapter came out, bought all the dlcs and have been playing since as the content and gameplay has been improving gradually

  5. I think I saw this game at a Dave & Busters prize area and it got me intrigued on what it is, as I just saw the cover with the trapper. I've played off and on since 2019, definitely a love/hate relationship with it, but tons of fun times with it and I'll always take another peek when a new chapter comes out

  6. Mainly got into it cause I could play as cool characters like pyramid head, nemesis and the dredge, and attack people, mind you I bought the game about a month ago during the summer sale on steam.

  9. I watched the sidemen play it in 2017 and i wanted to play it too. I got it on ps plus monthly games august 2018 and i played it a bit and then i realised im shit at it so i deleted it. But i went back to it when i heard that some more killers came out and i was interested in playing killer mainly. I didnt like getting scared and the idea of hunting others while making them terified apealed to me in some way. But instead of playing i watched some noob3 videos and i was enterianed for the time. Soon after the pandemic hit and me and the boys didnt know what to play and i suggested dead by daylight in November 2020. We played for a bit and it was so much fun but i could tell from the amount perks and add ons that this game is quite deep and if i want to use the best of them id have to watch some tutorials or explanation videos. So i started watching nototzdarva and his very short videos on the game. Soon playing with the boys turned into public matches and i just stayed with the game since then. Purchased all the dlc up to date and im having a blast. I think that the thing that makes me love dbd so much might be the power fantasy aspect for me with all the killers having their powers. I play both sides now and i use both as a way to learn about the opposite role im playing. If im killer i see what survivors do to avoid me. If im survivor i see what killers do to get me killed. I find the learing fun, feels like through playing im earning knowledge. All in all dbd just has some aspects in that individually wouldnt keep me playing but as dbd has a lot of little things that apeal to me i just fell in love with it.

  10. This should be directed towards those addicted to DBD. It’s generally a fun game to play on and off with new updates, but people who play 24/7 everyday of the week and still trash talk the game and its devs have issues

  11. I play Dead by Daylight because I’m a huge fan of horror. I watch and play every franchise that’s so far been in Dead by Daylight. I still keep playing since I’m still a fan of these characters. I can’t ever be bored since there’s so many killers to play as. Survivor isn’t half bad as well. I got into the game when I managed to get my first PC.

  12. Played the game for the first time in 2018 and I wasn’t a fan. Due to the global pandemic however and having plenty of time in my hands, it got suggested to me again by a friend and that’s when I got to play my first Killer game, felt good to play after so many years. And I’ve been playing since.

  13. Girlfriend showed me around the Sadako chapter and at first I was too nervous to play it (spooky scary killers) but eventually got around to playing it. As of now, been enjoying playing Killer mostly and sometimes survivor. My girlfriend on the other hand has stopped playing mostly, but will still come on and play with me at times.

  14. I started playing when it became free on ps plus on 2018 and I think I played for almost 50 levels and basically quit until a friend called me to play on the begging of 2021 (now on pc)
We basically discovered the basics together since 50 levels was almost nothing to learn something, we played for a think a little more than 1000 hours than he stopped playing almost when Pinhead released, I kept playing since 2021 and now I have 4500 hours and I main the cenobite

  15. Honestly, it was an array of things that got me into the game, but the three main ones were def these:
    1) My best friend and others players the game and recommended it to me
    2) I liked watching the DBD trailers when stuff came out
    3) I watched a lot of DBD youtubers and was fascinated by the gameplay
So one day i went to gamestop and finally decided to get the game. I got the disc which also came with the Stranger Things, Clown, and Spirit packs and brought it home. I wasn’t able to play for a month due to not have Ps+ but on Christmas i was finally able to do it. When i loaded in, the Oni had just come out, which I immediately fell in love with the killer and wanted him so bad. Now i’m 16 and Oni is one of my mains and will continue to be one of them and Idt i’ll ever drop DBD, even if i go a while without playing. Sure, I could sell it for a lot of money since it has the Stranger Things chapter, but this game is a personal favorite of mine and I wouldn’t wanna give that up tbh 🙂 I love the amount of brainpower u gotta put in, even when u play casually. Having to learn from everyones mistakes and learn from your own and think 5 steps ahead, etc etc. I used to only main Killer but for about 2 years i’ve been playing Killer and Surv and this game is amazing. My friends no longer play it so i normally play alone but I still love it nonetheless

  16. I personally just love everything about the horror genre. I was originally into F13 the game. That game died, then I started playing DBD and haven’t stopped. It’s incredibly fun to me.

  17. DBD was the first and only game I ever Pre-ordered and I've been playing it actively since launch.
I like Horror stuff so the game seemed like something I needed and I would've never thought that the one game I gave most of my time to would one day blow up.
But, Jesus do I feel old every time I see someone say that they got into the game because of a liscense they like, when I was there on the frontline because I love horror stuff.
