  1. I think making the Knight a simple M1 killer without any special ability is a missed oppurtunity IMO.
Here's my suggestion to improve The Knights power and spice it up a bit.

    Tarhos Greatsword:⚔
Hold (CTRL) to wind up a lethal strike that has a 3 stage attack window. ⬆
    1. If you release (CTRL) at 1.5 seconds you deal 1 health state.🩸
    2. If you release (CTRL) at 2.5 seconds you instantly down survivors.🫀❌
    3. However if you hold (CTRL) for more than 4 seconds the attack deals only 1 health state.🩸
    4. At any point you release (CTRL) and your strike hits a pallet it instantly breaks.🔨
    5. After 5 seconds the strike ends and The Knight pulls down his sword for a 1.5 seconds cooldown.⬇
You gain a small speed boost once 2.5 seconds have passed and leaves you with a 1.5 second window to use it for maximum efficiency.

  2. What I love about this character lore-wise, is that, as you said it, it belongs in the “historically domain” category, and along with the Oni and the Deathslinger, puts a spin on the character it represents to make it a darker greedier and all around monster

  3. So like, I know tarhos is a mass murderer and a terrible person, but honestly he’s one of the most relatable and understandable killers in dbd, he’s just kinda an asshole who follows his own rules and that makes him an outcast, plus he also goes out of his way to save his friends, so while he might be a terrible person, so was everyone else back then, and at least he is loyal to his boys

  4. One of the scariest things about the Knight is that he fucking wins. Like, legitimately, everything he sets out to do in his lore, he does to completion by the end of it. He wanted to free himself from the Guardia Compagnia, so he did. He wanted to free his comrades, and now they are in the entity’s realm. He wanted to enter the entity’s realm, and obviously he accomplished that. And now, if he wants to get revenge on Vittorio, he has eternity to do that.
