This is why the Orange glyph challenge from this Rift was removed from the game. Who knows, maybe we will get it back soon!

Just a quick video that I honestly had prepared a long time ago, but never released. Since my channel is based on keeping dbd history for the future, I thought this was an interesting fact to tell people about!

  2. The sound it made was the most annoying. It was so hard to listen for survivors or any important noise. Especially on stealth killers. Try to approach a gen and you can barely hear if someone is working on it. Worst part is it didn’t go away after 6 hooks like the visual affect did

  3. The orange glyphs adding visual effects wouldn't be bad, if the effect would maybe be more of a static image covering part of the screen. Even sound effects aren't a bad idea. The problem with how the orange glyph was was that it was pretty much a migraine simulator. while not everyone had issues with it, a lot of people who ever had migraine even to a degree pretty much identified the tinnitus like sound and the swirling lights as akin to what a 'migraine with aura' commonly looks like. no thank you

  4. I mean personally I thought the effects were wayyyy to simple and added nothing to the experience, I’m sorry others had a bad time with it and I hope it didn’t harm them too much, tho that for sure is definitely a very chill effect in the end and could have been much worse.

And for the arguments of it ruining the gameplay it needs to be stated a round of a game can be for fun and an experience rather than a competitive challenge.

  5. Honestly on my screen it looked so much worse than on yours, did you edit it a little or something? It was absolutely terrible on my screen but on yours it didn't look too bad. The sound was annoying still though lol.

  6. They removed them? I just finished one a few weeks back and was pretty annoying to finish. It wasn't a terrible effect, but enough to make it annoying to spot anyone from the peripheral.

  7. Ah yes, this glyph is terrible. Good thing all the other glyphs are cool, unique, and/or very fun to use. I’m so glad glyphs are in the game as they are implemented, and in fact all Archive and Daily challenges are so well made and thought out, such as “Cleanse 10 totems.” And “Hook the Obsession 3 times in a match.”, which encourage the interesting play styles of being useless and tunneling respectively.

  8. No joke, the first and only time I tried the orange glyph, it literally hurt my ears, gave me a headache, and made me feel super anxious (on top of dealing with a sweaty SWF on Eyrie of Crows). I never attempted it again until after it was removed.

  9. if a glyph just gives me a negative effect i will either not try that game or straight up just not do the challenge. DBD can be hard enough as it is I dont need more difficulties that will make me more annoyed

  10. Okay if people complains about orange glyph's visual effect, why they don't complain about the gas bottles of the clown? personally I hate that one more than orange glyph

  11. I think it should've just given you a status effect until the sixth hook like blindness or something. Something that would be annoying but could be overcome with a smart build or just good gameplay.

  12. I did the first orange glyph challenge and I enjoyed it. I have left all my red glyphs undone in this tome so when they return I can do the orange glyphs. I thought they changed up gameplay and were fun. I never experienced any nausea or discomfort doing my orange glyph.
I enjoy some good challenging challenges but BHVR needs to change archive "web" design and stop putting the harder challenges in the way of other challenges or getting to the end and instead put them on the edge in their own dead ends.

  13. Reading the description of the Orange Glyph, I was expecting something like "You gain Blindness for the trial" or "You move 5% slower."

Not that uh… horrific visual effect and awful noise.
Thankfully I pulled it off with my first game with Trickster but that was a horrendous experience.

  14. I remember this one. I was streaming that day when I did the challenge and it made me feel sick, confused & annoyed because of the sounds & effects. I couldn’t play very well and was forced to stop midway, it was that bad for me
