In this video, I discuss a roadmap Dead by Daylight released for July on their official Twitter account. More specifically, the date for the new game mode, 2v8, where 2 killers go against 8 survivors with more generators, bigger maps, and removed hooks. Furthermore, there’s a live stream this month for 2v8, but I’m pretty sure it’ll go over the new Tomb Raider mid-chapter with Lara Croft and Tome 20 (Mythic) as well. I then go in-depth on what we know for 2v8, such as what killers it’ll include (Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, and Huntress). Then, I discuss my theories for the gamemode, such as the potential for no cosmetics or licensed survivors, meaning no Stranger Things, Resident Evil, etc.

Death Is Not an Escape.
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed.
Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.
The Survivors’ goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer – something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.

  2. if the audio on this video is too loud or bad in general PLEASE let me know; it's really loud on my end and i have 0 idea why, as it's fine in both my video editor and windows media player, but it's also fine when it initially uploads to youtube (and also always fine in youtube studio for some reason??); and then once it's fully uploaded/done processing or whatever, it randomly gets much louder
    but this may just be on my end, and i don't wanna spend hours trying to fix something (already spent a while to no avail tbh) if the audio is fine for everyone else

  6. most excited for 2v8, don't really care about tomb raider, I don't really look forward to any of the chapters or paragraphs at all anymore TBH because the base DBD 1v4 format has gotten so bland. I'm worried that 2v8 will be dead though, feels like everyone is gonna play killer and there's gonna be zero people playing survivor, let alone EIGHT people per lobby, I think it's going to be a great gamemode, it's just not going to be very feasible that 8 people are gonna queue up for survivor. DBD just needs more gamemodes overall, possibly a hide and seek gamemode as well.

  11. Can’t wait for the new 2v8 game mode! The only question I have is if there are two killers, could you use two of the same killers, for example two nurses?? If that’s the case wouldn’t that be too broken?😭😭

  16. They need to keep these new game modes in game instead of a timed event. Gets boring having to play the same ol game mode. Variety is best, they should’ve kept the black out event and chaos shuffle as actual game modes.
