SCRAPPED And UNUSED ADDONS In Dead By Daylight (THEORY)

Read more Dead by Daylight ➜ https://deadbydaylight.mgn.gg

There are many unused and scrapped addons in Dead By Daylight. Icons that were lost with time, or icons that were never seen before. Even icons that reveal very interesting lore trivia and development changes. In today’s video, we will check all of them in a single, compact vid that also includes two of my theories for those that like that stuff 😀

Check the Firecracker addons here:

I have used imagery including perk, items, addons that were taken from the DBD Wiki under their Fair Use clause:

  1. Your theory about ArtifactER is interesting, although one reason why it may not be correct is because of a little known fact which is that Élodie used to have the surname Beaumont until very late in development. When BHVR posted the PTB announcement on the forums and on Steam news, they called her Élodie Beaumont. Also, if you search "dead by daylight" "élodie beaumont" (with quotes) on Google, you can find some videos from the PTB in languages other than English where she still had that name. By the way, the fact that other languages are often a little behind with the translations by the time PTBs launch sometimes reveals interesting scrapped details that the devs suddenly changed before we got to play, such as the Blight who used to be able to cancel a Slam by pressing Ctrl.

  2. In the game files, Trickster also has an unused addon called "Addon_SmashNrunGloves". I cant find anything on it on the internet, but I found it in the default icon set of the game.

  3. New item: Inhaler

The inhaler allows you by base to reduce the exhaustion of a survivor.

The inhaler comes with a minimum of 2 uses. Activation time takes 2 seconds. A single use of the inhaler would removed 25% time of exhaustion. [25% minus exhaustion time] This effect works while a survivor is running meaing that while running your exhaustion meter goes down. Killer perks/addons that cause permanent exhaustion cannot be removed by the inhaler unless of an addon.
Can be used while walking, running , crouching, etc.

    Addons:
    Iridescent: Hospital grade medication
    -Immediately recovers exhaustion.
    -uses all charges.
(Regardless of killer perks or addons)
-causes mild hallucinations for 12 secs. (clowns afterpiece tonic effects)

    Iridescent: Defective inhaler
[The medication doesn't help with breathing issues, only relaxes the lungs, side affects may cause coughing]
    Adds extra charge.
    -Doesn't recover exhaustion.
-Using the inhaler would make injured sounds completely silent for 60 secs.
Killer perks/addons do not work against this.
    -Makes survivors cough infrequently.

    Very rare: pharmaceutical grade medication.
    -Exhaustion recovery increased by 15%.
    -Slightly increases activation time.

    Very rare: sabotaged inhaler
[When used a small punctured would allow extra medication to be used, excessive use causes lungs fo rupture blood]
    -Reduces charge by 1.
-Speed increase by 10% for 40 seconds.
    Occasionally coughs up blood.

    Rare: Street grade Inhaler
    -Exhaustion recover increased by 8%.

    Rare: expired medication
    -Slightly ncreases activation time.
-Survivors gain an action boost of 15% for 20 seconds.
    (Vaulting, cleansing, booning, etc.)

  4. also, it really couldn't be clown or nurse, because the clown has lung problems caused by chemical and drug exposure in his later years, and the nurse is from a time when inhalers like that didint exist yet. Just thought i would add my two cents in there, keep it up!

  5. I don't think that Yumi will be Trickster's girlfriend because K-pop idols are not allowed to date or get married until the K-pop Idol was caught with his/her lover then kicked out but it depends on the company. I think Yumi is just Trickster's victim that was a Sasaeng Stalkers or Yun Jin Lee's friend or another college student that was just a fan of him. Maybe it was an error that it was mistakenly revealed (at least it expands the lore) during the ptb?

  6. The Plagas one for Wesker is still an RE5 reference. While the name obviously directly links to the Las Plagas parasite from RE4, the sample in the addon is the one Ada steals for Wesker, wich is then used in the creation of the Uroboros. So the sample being there is more of a tie in to 5 than 4 but it's still i teresting that they went for a name change
