If you can't play nurse without a sweaty build, don't play nurse. It's a really simple skill issue. You're as bad as I am at nurse. You have ways to practice now so I don't see much excuse anymore. Her attack should have always been special attacks, you literally teleport. If you can't handle the strongest killer still being the strongest killer after nerfs, maybe play against bots more or accept losing with one of the hardest killers to learn. Bad nurse Isn't a bad player, just someone who hasn't mastered insanely hard mechanics yet.
It's a situation that can resolve itself. Nurse has been the biggest thorn in BHVR's side when it comes to perk fun & balancing. If it's a little too strong, nurse abuses it to hell and back. Now I know this is hopeful thinking on my part that everything goes smoothly- other than the obvious slog it'll be until we get to this point, but with her not being able to apply that same amount of pressure, it can lead to better chase related perks. When you have better chase perks to end chases quicker but not cutting the entire chase, you don't need slow down as much. So modifications to slow-down perks that are more oppressive than others can be done as there are buffed chase perks to counteract that
I don't think people would switch to 4 slowdown perks. I think people would probably run 2 slowdown, 2 info. Say.. Call of Brine, Eruption, Floods of Rage, Nowhere to Hide.
Idk Scott I think having a killer that is stronger in a three gen is probably better than the weaker killers because by your logic wouldn’t they just kill you quicker? As for as to how fun that is compared to starstruck nurse is that at least starstruck nurse was killing you so quick that you didn’t get to a point in the game where you are so close but have zero chance of progressing but seriously tho a nurse with a 3 gen will at least kill me quicker than a clown or legion or doctor
Nurse had it coming. 1) Nurse doesnt need M1 perks, on her it was over kill. 2) Longer games means more points. Better gameplay than before when against a nurse and playing a nurse. 3) This will polarize great nurses and boosted nurses. If a nurse cant sacrifice anyone or any 2 before 3 gens are done, she outplayed herself.
It’s almost like the core issue is that slowdown perks should have some kind of thing like exhaustion for exhaustion perks to stop the other side from stacking the strongest perks. Even if that did happen Eruption needs to be nerfed since it provides 3 effects for 1 perk per gen if effects.
If I were a nurse main I wouldn’t add more slowdown I would just add brutal strength and no where to hide to eruption, call of brine just so I can kick gens faster and know where people are.
In my region (Asia), a good nurse players always use slow-down perks or aura-reading perks already. I rarely see anyone use exposed perks so, the special attack nerfs does nothing in my opinion. The really good nerf in this patch is the cutting of range add-on, which is really popular in here.
But they add the 4.4 red add-on and that purple add-on that can return her into original position. Still have no idea about it. We'll wait to see.
IMO nurse will never ever be balanced or fun to face cause of her base kit. For that reason idc much for changes like that on her. Scott Is likely right, but Is Just "pick your poison" to me, so w/e
i agree with you but i don’t think it’s the fault of the nurse nerf. nurse has needed this sort of nerf even before the gen kick meta was a thing, and it’s ultimately the fault of the gen kick meta itself that she might become slightly worse depending on who’s playing her. ultimately the devs need to make another meta shift (or finally add another fucking game mode with different objectives) if we ever wanna get out of this current meta.
They need to make the blink cooldown not start up until after she's done wheezing. I'm pretty sure she can catch up to survivors after a double blink faster than an M1 killer can, with no structures in the way, which is best case scenario for M1 killers. Yet in an imperfect world (the game) she literally just skips the pallets and structures as if they're not there anyway. This means her TTK is too high and lowering that I think would work towards actually balancing her.
I'm sorry and i know you dont care but I'm gonna unsub , I'm unsubing from all dbd content creators and streamers because I just can't stand looking at this game anymore and I just Uninstalled the game after getting shit on for almost 2hours getting EVERY SURVIVOR SIDED MAPS EVER ! And I just couldn't take it so i tried camping and tunneling but that's even kinda hard to do when a SURVIVOR gots almost 20+ FUCKING PALLETS on those maps and I literally just said fuck it , I'm giving up on this game because what's the point in playing a game that is literally just babysitting simulator. Every match they had meta and I just kept getting ran through over and over and it just isn't fun when you get tbagged at every exit gate , every pallet , every window and your not even playing toxic or even trying , so I quit , there's no killer meta that can save this game from just being killers watching survivors do gens and that's it , no killing , no moris, no pallets , no windows , there gonna take your weapon away , your perks , your addons and the ability to kill survivors overall because that's how fucking shitty it feels to play this game
I think perks should have categories. And let's say killers can use 1-2 slowdown perks, survivors can use 1 anty-tunneling perk. Solo survivors can have one extra perk slot, trapper can have 1 extra perk slot
I feel like the problem Is more like how to fix the gens. In a sense, a lot of the slowdown meta Is for genrush and vice versa. So One side has to get penalties fir camping and tunneling, but It Needs the opportunity to do so because more often than not you feel that you have to kill One surv out of the game fast and with Little chance to the guy. The other side Needs not to take 30 seconds to finish a gen and to not have that much Power over the killer. To me a good start could be that maybe After 15 seconds of staying near the hook the entity pushes you away and keeps the tenacity on the unhook a bit longer. Another good start to me could be the fact that survs only get to bring one of each type of tool, not 4 of the same type. And you maybe could make something more. Some new ones maybe.

Don't worry Scott. When people start using more slowdown, bhvr will see the stats and nerf those perks accordingly. Just gotta endure the two years until that happens.
I kinda disagree here, I think the good nurses will just replace their lethality perks like starstruck with info perks, because that's the next best thing considering that nurse benefits more than any other killer from knowing where people are
They should just make nurse's teleport slower for mindgames play, but make her show no direction when teleporting and give her faster movement speed, faster charging her teleport and faster teleport regen.
Yes ok, but you dont suggest any alternatives. At the end of the day its still a nerf so i think we have to be happy about it, then we have to Ask a nerf to that ridiculous add on that let you have 6 blinks and i think we are good(or better than we are now). Next stop nerf blight add ons!
Why didn't they add to PTB ability to lose all of your charges when you get stunned? It's so simple yet effective idea. Now stunning Nurse with pallets, DS and escaping from grasp ACTUALLY gives you a chance to escape and not being instadowned. Aiming with flashlight to prevent her blinks is worse and more useless but somehow still is in the game…
so no different than every other kill then. Most Nurse's played super aggressive and the removal of specials, the range, and especially even removing recharge, means that is no longer possible and she will have to play into 3 gens, for sure. obviously there's the new addons but I think they'll get tweaks. I also think that despite nerfs that are actually quite severe and well targeted, people will always find something to complain about due to the fundamentals Nurse breaks. Not only that but something like recharge made Nurse's go for blinks they otherwise normally wouldn't, often resulting in them being punished and the survivor gaining distance. Now a Nurse will walk you down until she knows she 100% can hit both blinks, resulting in even LESS mind game with her. people don't quite seem to see the negatives in all this

I though "well if you take out the reason certain perks on only really good on her, just just going to use the meta build every other killer is running, not really a good thing. I think the 1st blink should be a basic. Making the 2nd one a special makes the perks still viable but not used every time
Imho they should’ve make any blink after the first blink be a special attack – including her addon that returns her to the starting position (the blinks counting up from the first and returning to her original position also counts as a blink).

More slowdowns perks, more stats about slowdowns usage, more chances that devs will adjust them again.
