I played against a pig who used the same build with blood warden instead of no way out. Then I tried it for myself on wraith and its been my favorite build ever since.
Why does each person he hits become the obsession? is that how is always works?

I made (likely already exists) a very similar build:
-Killer: Deathslinger
-Perks: Game Afoot, Rancor, Blood Warden, Agitation (to secure Blood Warden hook)
-Map: Midwich works best (small)
-Add-ons: Reload add-ons or Lowered Terror Radius add-ons
>Goal: Sit afk for whole game before endgame. Once at endgame, any survivor hit will become the obsession and will be instantly downed. This survivor can then be moried or hooked. If an exit gate has been opened, you can stall out time to eventually use Blood Warden. Also, survivors who are not the obsession are not aware that the killer has rancor (unless in a SWF) therefore you can shoot cocky survivors at the exit gate, reel them in, and instadown + mori them on the spot. This is also why NOED is somewhat incompatible with the build, because it scares off survivors who would otherwise be surprised by the instadown that Game Afoot provides.
The hilarious part is this took OhTofu like a year to get, then the next killer comes with a perk to make it EZ PZ.
