  1. I don't get the balancing. New shadowborn (Killer perk) gives 10% haste when blinded, and Champion of Light (Survivor Perk) substracts 20%. Sure, the timers are different, but in total CoL slows more than shadowborn gives haste. Why is the survivor perk more impactful than the killer perk considering the killer brings 4 perks and the survivors bring 16 in total?

  2. This will be the 1st chapter I just straight up skip, all trash perks in my opinion. The new change to Shadowborn is a slap to the face to Champion of Light before it's even released which is the only mild-fully useful perk but there's MUCH better perks to run with flashlights.

  3. I saw spookyloops video on this and a buff idea for the boon i had while watching his vid was that objectives in the radius of the boon get a1/2/3% boost. So you open chest and fix gens1/2/3% fast

  4. "20% isnt a lot." 20% is 1/5 of their speed, that is pretty sure that makes them actually slower by a significant amount than even survivors without speed boosts, then add in sprint burst or lithe and you got a huge distance on killers wothout extra movement.
Second perk if you give it windows basically and run shadowstep is gonna be a pain to deal with i can imagine.
Third perk random skillcheck placement is weird and im not a fan but if that wasn't there i could imagine some no mither.

  5. Everyone is saying Lightborn is going to be the meta now, but I think with the perks we have now there is a fun opportunity to run some unique anti-flashlight builds.
A build I imagine would be Shadowborn, Hex:Two Can Play, Hubris, and Brutal Strength.
When you get blinded with Shadowborn, you get 10% haste, which sadly would still only get you a net result of -10% if survivor has Champion of Light 🙁
But with Two Can Play they'll be blinded as well, so in their confusion and lack of knowledge of Shadowborn, you can possibly catch up to them.
According to the wiki, flashlight blinds should be able to activate Hubris making it where they are one shot when you catch them.
Brutal Strength lastly because survivors like to blind at pallets, so breaking it faster to make more use of your haste can also catch them off guard.

Still, I think Champion of Fog should be nerfed or Shadowborn buffed. Feels wrong that one of your 4 killer perks only "mitigates" a survivor perk. The 50% haste while flashing is already a really good effect. Although, it is important to note that the Shadowborn haste will last 4 seconds longer then Champion of Light.
Anyways, hope someone has fun with this on release day when you go into a game against 4 Alan Wakes with flashlights.

  6. Deadline is situational but I see great synergy with hyperfocus and stake out, add something else to get gens going ( resilience comes to mind) and you got a good rush build, imo.

  7. I love the concept of Deadline but it just has to many negatives…. you have to be injured and it causes the random skill checks… 🙁 I also like the concept of the boon but I agree its just not strong enough being a boon that takes time to set up and can be snuffed out.

  8. Things I'd like to see on the Boon: make it show gen progress in some way; or make the effect of moving your boon (not shown in this video) much faster, so that it can be worth it to move your boon frequently throughout the match

  9. Hi guys, I haven’t played DBD for 2 years and want to get back into the game, what’s the best perks and killers to use now, I used to be a ghostface main, and now I’m looking at buying Wesker or Chucky, (I’m on console btw)

  10. I am so excited for the skillcheck perk! I’m gonna run it with This is Not Happening and Hyperfocus:) Perhaps autodidact too!

I think you’re failing to realize that the people who would want to run a whole gen skill check build are either A) Autistic or B) Have ADHD. And luckily for me I have BOTH and will be running a whole gen skill check build lol💅

  11. Otz is so fkin whiny man. Not every perk needs to be the next meta or something that replaces another perk in its use.

Sometimes variety and mixing things up is nice for its own sake. Not every survivor is some sweat looking to get escapes at all cost, the boon perk could be useful for people doing chest challenges for example or people wanting to get loot while also helping their team.

  12. I feel like the could experiment with Illumination

Pallets and exit gates should just be added by default, feel like it could be really good at making the perk worth it.

Secondly a more “maybe” change would be allowing the killers aura to be viewed every X seconds while in the radius.

Just a couple changes that comes to mind👌
