  1. I agree with your take. Made for This is a pretty nice alternative to the always dominating exhaustion perks without being nearly as strong and has some cool synergies that make some good underused perks more useful, like Iron Will. Despite not everyone having realised this yet, Sprint Burst has always been the strongest exhaustion or survivor perk in general in the game, and any perk that makes you unable to use it effectively is doomed to be a niche pick, automatically making MfT offmeta. DH will probably see some use again to go with it, and maybe No Mither lmao.

Scavenger is very good because compared to Built to Last it saves you time from finding and waiting in a locker, which is very good in a 3 gen scenario, letting you more easily finish a gen whenever there's a chance the killer will be away for long enough. Most teams probably won't use it on the first gens, giving the killer some control on when it's gonna be used. Built to Last is better overall because it can be used with medkits, which are still way stronger than toolboxes, as well as being more consistent. If with Scavenger your gen gets interrupted and heavily defended by the killer (and Pop got buffed) you've lost an entire toolbox and the perk itself, while BtL can still give you value. The reason you should care about this perk though is that killers will now tend to be more focused on gen defense rather than taking chase especially with clearly chase-oriented survivors; they'll start prioritising those with toolboxes to keep them away from gens

  2. Well argued, convinced me. Really good point about sfws and s tier killers being op no matter what, maybe we should do something about that before singleing out certain perks.

  3. Otzdarva is not as compitent as many people think. I remember how he made a video saying that inner healing is an S ier meta perk (which in reality is a garbage perk that is just way worse than self-care).Btw I really don't see anything imbalanced with having a second toolbox instead of a perk

  4. Every chapter we have the same discussion, is always a perk that is “problematic” and in the end we barely see those perks.
Overcome, Reassurance, Hyperfocus, Potential Energy, Wiretap and now Made for this and Scavenger

  5. this game is fun why people gotta always start something it’s just a game..people need to try to have fun for once and stop acting like there on a ea sport team or something

  6. Hopefully Made for This survives and doesn't get killed before live. If people are worried about haste stacking they can just make it not stackable with other haste effects. If it makes it to live MFT resilience is going to become my new go to build

  7. 100% agree with everything you said about Made For This. Also, I think I know what BHVR is trying to do with these perks. They're trying to add strong perks that'll shake up the meta, because let's be real, can they REALLY nerf the current meta perks? Those being Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, Off the Record, and something like Deliverance. If they make any moves, it'll make solo queue suffer even more than it already does. And honestly, the same goes for the killer side. If they nerf Corrupt Intervention into the ground since it's one of the best perks on the killer side, killers like Trapper will be absolutely unplayable (besides basement gaming but that shouldn't have to be the way to win a Trapper game in DBD.) Made For This is gonna encourage people to stop running their Sprint Bursts and Lithes and try out this perk (what a surprise, they have to GIVE UP A CURRENT META PERK TO EVEN USE IT!) Honestly, giving up an exhaustion perk for something that ONLY makes you 3% faster WHEN INJURED is not worth it at all. The most broken scenario I can see Made For This being even close to meta is in looping builds without Sprint Burst or Lithe, with Hope, and something like Dead Hard (but oh boi we know how that turned out with Dead Hard.) Now these perks are gonna get nerfed into the ground and we're all gonna go back to the same boring ass meta that we've had since the July update. I hope all the comp players are happy. Also, Troubleshooter is INFINITELY more strong than whatever garbage Scavenger is. If I'm running a gen rush build, I'm using Hyperfocus, Stakeout, Built to Last, and Streetwise. I've done the math and you get more charges out of Built to Last / Streetwise than Built to Last / Scavenger.

  8. Very good arguments.

Another argument to add is that they haven't added a survivor perk that'd be meta in ages. The last one was Circle of healing and it recently got nerfed to the ground together with every other meta perk. Adding new strong survivor perks is exactly what the game needs and it's obvious they should be related to chases and speed. I don't think that any of these new perks are op, but even if they were – that's kind of what the game needs right now, in order to have an actual meta shake up.

  9. This is gonna be long winded, but hear me out. I posted on otzs video about this, saying his reasoning of toolboxes being the problem as opposed to the perk is ludacris and if items get nerfed anymore, whats the point of even having them in the game? What i got in response was a reply shrouded in arrogance ( cause that worked so well for tydetyme when he started acting that way). Basically, my bullet points would be this

-tollboxes have already been hit multiple times, from brand new part nerfs to overall time and charge nerfs

    – when was the last time u brought in a toolbox and that toolbox was the difference in u winning or losing? Does it happen, sure. Is it common? Not at all. Items in most games are an afterthought, most of the time

    – medkits have also recieved a multitude of nerfs to them as well

    – most people are not good at this game, and it seems that over the years players are actually getting worse

    – how many 4 stack teams that are good enough at the game and coordinated enough to get max value out of a perk like that consistently is there going to be? Not many. Some? No doubt. But not many. Will i lose to this as a killer a handful of tim3s? Absolutely. Do i care? No

Ive always had a lot of respect for otz but his behaviour over this is kinda crazy. I dont wanna see what happened to tydetyme happen to him, and it will if he makes a habit out of it. Overall i dont see it as an issue. And if it becomes one, we cant nerf the items anymore. Most people who play this game solo que. Dbd is not a competitve game by nature and treating it as such, balancing it as such, instead of what it is would be the thing that actually kills the game off. They limit items etc in tournaments anyways. Let the majority of players, which is solo que survivors, have tools to not make the game miserable for them

  10. When you were talking about Made For This and the perks that benefit from being injured, you forgot to mention Resilience. I'm not arguing for or against. I just wanted to add that fact. Also, if you're like me and you don't like being gen rushed, if you see whatever you consider too many toolboxes, back out of the lobby. If they do a cheeky last-minute switch, close the game while the match loads, you won't take a penalty on the PS5 at least.

  11. Yeah I also thought otz over did it. He obviously doesn't play survivor much. You know how many times I've seen that perk that moves progress between gens…..twice, and I'm one of the 2. People thought it was going to save us from the 3 gen strat😒. You play in the top 1% the other 99% are mid or potatoes. Please calm down. Only swfs are even going to use it, if at all. The rest of us(the majority) may try it once and move on.😮‍💨they are overreacting. I not a sweat, most people aren't. Its boring, to stress that much, I rather go play Pokémon.

  12. I’m starting to feel like the community complains about every even slightly useful survivor perk. Nerf this, nerf that… bruh. I agree with your takes. I don’t see these perks becoming new meta, but I feel like it would be fun to try them out in some specific builds (as for me, it’s one of the most fun aspects of the survivor gameplay – trying to get value of niche builds). I really hope the devs won’t change them. (I play both sides 50/50 if you wonder)
