I said exactly this, blight with infinite rushes is OP. I am a killer main and I would love to have this but in all honesty it is bust. It doesn't matter the rushes are not max speed. Having an ability that is infinite even if weaker is far stronger than having full power that is limited. That is the exact reason the nurse had tokens added to her power. She originally did not have tokens and could instantly blink again after going through fatigue.
I think the infinite Rush idea is really cool, but hear me out. What if they turned it into a meme add on? Keep the infinite Rush, but disable being able to do Lethal Rushes, and increase the fatigue by an extra second or something.
I want to try making the Tag still give you infinite rushes, but they're not Lethal Rushes so you can't hit survivors. Crazy mobility but otherwise you're just an m killer.
I don't understand your logic. They nerfed Chucky a B tier killer and you were happy, they nerf Blight a S tier killer and you are sad. Let blight have a bad iridescent addon, who cares? Nurse has matchbox.
if it plays as it sounds facing another blight and you outplay him, he misses or whatevs but he just keeps rushing i will take a good long break especially in combo with something insane like that turn rate i mean, i can expect that to be 50% of my matches unless a new killer just came out
If this comes out as it is (hopefully BHVR is not that stupid) bad Blights will be good Blights and good Blights will be unstoppable. Also I dont believe people will actually want to play against him. We will be in the exact same spot like with Merchant or Spirit where people would just DC once they heard their TR. Even as Blight player I think this is too much. This must be some kind of sick joke…..
What if it made it so you have a reduced turn rate so if you missed you had to just bounce again and keep going, and/or you could only inflict deep wound?
If they would just re-rework Comp 33 and instead give Plague Bile and Umbra Salts a buff then those two together could accomplish their goal of making Blight more maneuverable without making him just control like normal (like how new Comp 33 does). We need useful turning rate add-ons, and at the moment Umbra Salts and Plague Bile TOGETHER are not even as strong as a single tier of new Comp 33. It's sad that his weaker add-ons also didn't get buffed to compete more with his stronger ones.
I find it funny because it is the same problem I have with chucky. I feel like I get hit 9 out of 10 times he dashes, and that just makes me not want to play the game. Kinda the same with artist aswell.
They should make him 4.4ms, remove his two speed addons, give 5% increase in speed with each bump basekit, iridescent blighted tag should make him 4.6ms, remove lethal rush, keep infinite rushes and give 10% fatigue reduction, and keep cooldown after you take away a health state from the durvivor, the compound 33 should increase turn rate 6% only after 8 meters rush … Of course this is an opinion, i hate playing against blight, every blight i face is a sweaty player and i mainly play huntress, legion and survivor solo queue. this is my feedback on blight's "nerfs" in this PTB, current version blight can't only be slightly countered by having good team with comms.
The fact that the devs thought that a guaranteed hit on a 20 second cooldown was a net nerf just goes to show how many wrinkles are in the brain of the addon department
The alien perk suggests a meta where h have to down perfectly im playjng casualy and am getting brutally gen rushed. Gens go by way to fast im so disinterested playing killerright now.
Its sucks when u cant play the game cause u dont have that alien perk and anyone who ever thought that was acceptable is caught in the cog of making a game they absolutely do not give any fucks about. Abhorrently dismissive of the way people played the game before. Blowing up in the devs face i would imagine
Iridescent Blight Tag is easily in the top 3 for most unfun things to play against when the Killer wants to tunnel you. A 'fix' that would make it terrible, but fine balance-wise, is Lethal Rushes put injured Survivors into Deep Wound, otherwise, I don't know how you can make this add-on ever okay with how it works.
Unrelated to the elephants in the room, is anyone surprised C21 wasn't touched? I felt like that add-on was fairly unhealthy because it completely removed any mindgame potential for the Survivors and made hiding pointless without a perk like Distortion.
Just being Very Fast Man makes me think of something I've been wondering for a while: if there was a killer with no power and no addons (M1 only), how fast would they have to be to (a) be playable and (b) not be broken?
I'm so glad that the new compound 33 has upgraded blight from Mr. Pinball to that crazy Uncle we all see during the holdays who had a bit too much to drink
I've been waiting for someone to see someone say that. He's basically just faster survivor man w cane. I always felt w his mobility Blight should be the only killer who moves w a slower base speed. Just like nurse make his mobility reliant on using and managing his power well
I know it’ll use more dev resources but can they implement a multi-mori system, where each killer has more than 1 to equip & can choose via button prompt which to use.
I saw the problem with iri tag in Scott's gameplay. The animation doesn't stop the damn thing from going onto cooldown after a successful hit, it just automatically does it (basically skipping two-three secs of cooldown). If they fix this, and also maybe increase the cooldown by a few seconds, then I'd think we can get best of both worlds.
Infinite rushes I don't find to be a problem for the most part. Sure anything that eventually guarantees a hit can be problematic in certain situations, but you gotta realize the time investment here, if the Blight hits you after 30 rushes in a chase, you already wasted a lot of his time, and then he won't have power for at least 20 seconds which you can just run him for easily plus he loses all his mobility, this is usually easy 50-60 seconds gen time for every teammate you have pretty much. You either run him for the extra 20 secs, or he doesn't get to use his mobility to interrupt gens very efficiently in that time, so I think its very much fine for a survivor.
I'd say the only tweak it needs is that you need to recharge the initial three tokens that caps your bonuses, and then it solve the swinging problem.
Infinite dashes honestly seems like it would be a good idea if it could theoretically be infinite, but came with risks. My idea: Infinite dashes, but if you ever dash less than 3 meters, or you swing (at a survivor/pallet/air), then your dashes end, and you must wait out the 18-second recharge. Iridescent is really meant to give you powerful but risky options.
Blight tag, I dunno. Maybe the drawback of high turn rate could be low speed? You're faster than Chag, but slower than most other killer dash attacks? That would give you control, but also more chances for survivors to escape.
"you're gonna get a hit " footage literally shows a missed hit. Infinite blight is not that strong. Any high level blight right now I wish had this instead of everything else they use.
Blights addon pass reeks of confusion. BHVR claims they wanted to reduce the frustration in playing against Blight, which is how unjustified some of his hits/downs felt. In this regard, C33, Alc Ring, and Adrenaline Vile are his biggest offenders. Nerfing these was good. But if the response to that is to throw 2 addons back in that repeat the same mistakes as before then what was the point?
This pass is a fat L in terms of design. ts fine to nerf the problematic addons, but the changes that were made dont even stray that far from the problems they were trying to fix.
thanks for the update. as a survivor main i'm not against killers being strong, i just need to be able to have some sort of counterplay. even with how much i see him i still love facing wesker the most because there is so much engagement with his powers. i have a chance but so does he. blight is still fun to go against as is because if you can just mindgame enough rushes you have a chance to gain some ground… infinite rushes just sounds boring.
I play blight with yellow and green add ons never touched the purple and red because i know someday they will remove it from the game I’m ok with it. Survivors hates blight for whatever reason it doesn’t matter even I run him without add ons someone will dc or kill himself in the hook . I had a game 2 days ago when the 4 survivors decided to dc at the first 10 seconds all of them .The survivors main wants the devs to nerf his base kit basically his power and abilities or give him 2 or 3 rushes like nurse . All Reddit post wants to nerf blight and his add ons not just the add ons .

I may have gotten too excited when blight got his "nerf"…for a moment I did forget that blight being bvhrs golden child…gets "nerfs" not nerfs.

The cooldown makes if fine imo. Same thing with chucky. Then again, idgaf about "ultimate balance" like most people seem to.

iri tag is fine. compound def needs that turn rate % lowered. it feels awful, cheap, undeserved when it happens to you

The tag should just give you a cooldown whenever you stop rushing. You can rush forever until you stop, then you have to wait 20 seconds
