Could they potentially get discount Slender Man, The Operator, from Marble Hornets?
Sony as an agent? So when dbd gets slenderman. It's Playstation exclusive. That sounds like the type of stuff sony would pull.

Hey everyone! I'm lucky to have been able to get ahold of and have a conversation with Blue Isle Studios, and I'm grateful to Schmuckles for sharing that conversation here! In addition, this is an excellent dissection of the current Slender Man IP situation as it relates to DbD. I know I speak for many others when I say thank you for taking the time to put all of this information together! I've been a huge fan of Slender ever since his conception by Victor Surge back in 2009. As you mentioned Schmuckles, only time will tell, but it's certainly a possibility that Slender Man could join the iconic roster of killers in the horror hall of fame that is Dead by Daylight. Provided that day comes, I'll look back on this comment & this video knowing the speculation was worth it! Thanks again Schmuckles!

You should try asking Frictional Games what they think about one of their games (Penumbra, SOMA, Amnesia) being a chapter for Dead by Daylight.
This year is the year of Slendy because “Slender Arrival” is having a HUGE UPDATE multiplayer CO-OP I don’t know how it will work but they are making the multiplayer and costum servers like us the public making a map
the whole multiplayer thing sounds like a stretch, slender the arrival is a horror game so it wouldn't make much sense for a player to be in the power role. i do think its possible tho and it would be cool if slender invaded

My first thoughts
1. Behavior found out about the leaks, after saying this chapter was original, and switched it last minute for Slanderman. Who was meant to be a future licenced killer, to try and discredit the leaker?
2. remember Behaviour does say they lost a license, could it have been Slanderman given the complex Copyright issues.
I don't understand why these people even have the license? Its a creepypasta and then there were like 2 video games right? But they aren't the original creator. So why would THEY have the license?

every Schmuckles video deserves a popcorn snack! Always interesting to see the possibilities for DBD.
I don't much care for slenderman, and while this sounds a little bit more compelling than your average rumor, even if it were all true I don't believe this means we're getting Slenderman anytime soon. We know the developers work on their chapters a year in advance, and right now the other licensed deals that BHVR is clearly juggling without saying so are still up in the air. This information comes far too late for a potential anniversary license, so we'd be talking about next spring probably, or at the earliest next fall.
This upcoming anniversary chapter, if it's going to be licensed at all, is certainly going to be either Predator or Vecna in a Stranger Things 2 bid.
How would they even do this? He doesnt attack physically but melts your brain when you look at him. It just doesnt work in dbd.
Honestly the 3 Horror Icons that deserve to be in DBD are:
Slenderman: hes easily the most popular creepypasta character (besides mayby jeff btw how crazy whould it be if they also added jeff skin for Legion or Ghostface?)
Grunt: Amnesia is the Father of all Horror games in my opinion. Its a legend that inspired games such as Outlast and Soma. It whould be a shame not to see it one day.
Springtrap: Springtrap is the most likely out of these to be in dbd and tbh hes probably the most iconic horror character from reacent history besides mayby Freddy fazbear himself.
Honorable mention:
Thin Man: The character from Little Nightmares 2 was very facinating and its ability to blink and travel throw tv's whould be right at home in dbd. Its reason for being part of entitys games could be it wanting to prevent a fate worse than him from those part of the game, in game that was kinda his motive, trying to stop us so we dont end up like him. Id be fine with Slenderman coming to Dbd and Thin Man being an alternative costume too.

Because as annoying as it is for someone asking for Springtrap for the billionth time, at least FNAF has held cultral relevancy in the past decade.
Slendy's corpse has been beaten enough after countless unfunny let's plays, that god awful movie, and that horrendous animated rap battle.
Let the poor guy rest in peace.

If they're making their own MP game with Slenderman, even if he's not playable, I would personally say that it's a very low chance that they'd license him out to BHVR. If he was a playable character in another game, there's a good chance that people who would have played the Slender MP will instead play DBD, cutting into their profits. Same reason why Netflix took away Demogorgon even though their own shitty mobile game wasn't at all comparable to the DBD chapter.
Maybe on Slender's 20th Anniversary, but I wouldn't hedge my bets on getting him while they're actively working on Multiplayer titles.
