flashlights dont get a break 😭 they keep nerfing it for no reason
The locker save issue is a little deeper than just what they mentioned. There are certain ways to abuse double locker setups and basically make people ungrabbable, to the point where two survivors can effectively hold the game hostage unless the killer just decides to walk away. Glad they adressed that.
The addition of practice bots is going to do wonders for my blood pressure.
I still don't get why some killers are upset about flashlight saves when there is literally a perk for that.
Could you imagine if they use the same AI they use for Alien Isolation for killers ? That would be awesome and terrifying
i am so excited for this update from the bots to the cheater fix, and everything in between i think this will be good for the game and community as a whole

cheats evolve, theyve already fixed some of those cheats but cheaters always eventually find a way to do them again so they have to patch them again
I can say that the instant-gen thing was likely just a remnant from the old BNP functionality that was just never removed, and may have been connected to another piece of code that they had to find.
I do worry a bit about the team based ratings because 1 person could do fantastic in a game where everyone else did nothing (ive had games where i did all 5 gens while the others were fucking about) and because the other survivors didnt do anything that makes it so i get less bloodpoints? I think it should only apply to survivors who died in the trial and not those who escaped just to keep it from being abused to purposely make people get less bloodpoints

ill finally have a reason to play pinhead again,after my first game against sweats i knew he wasn't for me yet and this wasn't him just coming out.
Am I an ass hole? So in a game there was this new ish looking bill he was going in lockers and when it was me and him left he went to basement and went in a locker I then domesticated the killer and went to find him and get him killed (he did nothing the whole game except walk around and sand bag me)
I think they should have just said cheating has no place in our game 😂

The worst about this update is the new doors and pallets. Sadly they are ugly .. just don't change them .. the current ones we have are lovely as is.
So, here's a thought… why not go and buy the cheat software… then use that to create countermeasures? Like… "If this and this code is running, banned"?
DBDM has bots Survivors and killers I’m surprised they just now getting bots 😭
I think that the basement change is nice but I think it should be still possible to head on save on their way into the basement. It's too consistent with the old basements with lockers right at the bottom of the stairs, but just push those lockers back by about 1m or so to give a bigger window for a killer to avoid the stun while still giving a reasonable chance to hit it if the killer doesn't take optimal pathing.
Honestly, I'm really excited about bots. I feel like it'll help in custom matches a lot. I've seen a couple of comments saying the bots can be a hit or miss (especially since they won't be able to do complex maneuvers like 360's and such but even just to get a feel for a killer or more practice as a specific killer before attempting live matches, I think they'll really help. Plus then you can do custom matches with just you and a friend and still have digital bodies to try to make it an entire match, not just a simple man hunt. (Plus it'll let some pissed off people take anger out on the bots instead of real people and being a bigger piece of sh1t than normal.

None of this improves the game enough for me to come back to playing it as often as I once did. A while ago i'd at least try to get a few hours of this game in a day but now I barely put four hours into this game a week. I guess at this point i'm holding out hope that they will just implement some drastic changes to make the game actually fun again. That seems more and more unlikely with each patch that comes out so the only other option is to wait and hope another game of this style successfully comes out. Evil Dead turned out to be a flop so maybe the killer klowns game or the texas chainsaw game will be the right now. he says while inhaling a dangerous amount of copium
I'm excited for the bots, I've only been playing a couple months so practising, trying out killers etc is going to be so helpful
Regarding toxicity: doesn't exactly help when randoms get salty at a ttv for shit happening (or things on the ttv's side needing immidient attention) and then they go onto the ttver's stream to complain but have different names on twitch than their dbd names
i have been waiting for bots for AGES.
Play as nurse, get 48 hour ban.
Play get a 4K, get a 1 week ban.
Play a meme build, get 1 month ban.
Play killer and inhale once, permanent ban.
This is a joke I hope it works well.
Probably the biggest change is no more flashlight locker saves. I see a lot of streamers doing that and it's just a never ending cycle of saving each other in double lockers

I'm super excited about the bots! Being a survivor main I really want to practise being killer, and this is a great way to do it without having to deal with bullies/trolls.
