  1. i dislike the hate towards comp + pub, comp is fun because it's so "optimal" and looking towards improvement, and pubs is still fun it just gets ego'd because comp players are better then pub players (and the comp scene has insane ego problems), idk it's just "us vs them" like the shit you see on r/dbd where it's just people complaining about "the other side", comp scene is very fun the community is just ass, honestly wish they added a ranked mode on normal dbd queues so we could play "normal dbd" while still showing off skill

  2. No fucking shit that there will be children and problems running competitive organization for game whose developers don't give a fuck in the slightest, but other games with similar situation for some reason can exist on comp field and work fine, whats wrong here? Maybe it's the fact that DbD community is a bunch of pussies who will cry out about every slur ever said and will take everything as it's their personal war? There's no responsibility from comp organization, all that they're doing is creating a filed, I thought that it's their purpose to ban unprecedented behavior, and not cry about the fact that people do shit online? What's even the point in doing that in the first place then?
Edit: btw I haven't made that clear, but I absolutely respect Hens' decision, it's just the fact that you yapping about it, saying absolute nonsense, which I'm trying to point out

  3. The worst part about the "you only play public matches" people is that they TREAT every public match they are in like a tournament.

Which is so fundamentally stupid, because unless your opponent happens to do the same thing, it's bound to be a coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb situation.
It doesn't reflect a real tournament in the slightest, so it doesn't even work as training, unless you're practicing communication, which you can also do better in a custom match.

And yet these people continue not only play that way, but also act like these win streaks are actually worth anything, when the only thing they're good for is stroking their inflated ego.
It just gets under my skin so much.

  5. Yeah, you know why those other games/teams have management? Because those fucking games are huge and successful lmfao It's DbD, what did you expect? The game itself is an absolute joke

  6. I'll say it, the comp scene in DBD is the dictionary definition of stupid for how the game is designed and balanced.

That doesn't mean I don't respect players skill and mechanics, but their decision to be involved tied to a "comp scene" in a game like DBD? Stupid.

Sandbagging tournaments, or hardcore challenges, those are as comp as you can get in the game, and THOSE are fun and can be entertaining to view in a game with so much variation and RNG between each trial.

  7. Overwatch League had a team that had like 3 groomers/pedos and another team where about 70% of the players said slurs regularly. Unfortunately the ego that comes from pro scenes allows bad people to have a spotlight and its like that in literally every game. I wouldn't want my name attached to any comp scene in any game.

  8. I don’t get how people can think this game can have a competitive scene when it seriously lacks balance. The game is a shit show of meta defining perks, powers, items and add-ons while also having tons of borderline useless perks, powers, items and add-ons.

  9. All these people defending comp saying "You don't like comp? Don't take part in it"

Motherfucker everyone's issue with comp players and the comp scene is that they actively bring their sweaty stacked shit and playstyles INTO pubs, forcing solo queue babies to vs it. They also then make "winstreaks" as an excuse for them to do so. You literally can't defend how people view comp dbd when y'all fucked it for yourselves

  10. Honest question, who gives af about these circle jerking cOmP players? I'm cringing at the thought of people even feeling the need to make a video over someone tweeting that they're no longer involved with comp play… IN DBD 💀

  11. Because competitive DBD was getting too over-the-top for its own good, when it places to be a small on the side, unknown thing that was quite chill up until 2021. It got taken too seriously, for its own good and can never stand a chance to actual real competitive games. Reason why I left last year. It was fun for the first 3 years doing it, but once I saw the major change, I knew it just wasn’t for me anymore.

  12. I don't get the whole "They're a teenager so we shouldn't be surprised that they say racist shit.". I mean, I was a teenager once and I didn't use slurs or say offensive stuff to be edgy and almost no one around me did (and I was a teenager well into the mid-00s). 16 is old enough to know this and if they don't know how to behave yet, then they don't belong in a tournament until someone sits them down and explains a few things to them until they get it. I really don't know why we're supposed to give teens a pass for whatever horrible stuff they can do. "Rape someone? Community service. Beat up homeless people and post it online for views. Probation. Say racist stuff and death threats? Eh, barely worth commenting about". Yeah, this is why the world is fucked. We don't teach young people that they need to be held accountable so they turn into fucking arseholes as adults.
