I honestly think that if it is Vecna that it will actually be the Stranger Things version. It still has a connection to DnD via the show. When bhvr got the ST license back there is no way they didn't ask to do a second chapter. The timing is right with almost a year going by to allow development. The 5th and final season will be later this year.
I just think by saying it is the DnD Vecna is a red herring. Bhvr loves their surprises after all and you can bet this one will be tightly guarded.

first this has not been confirmed yet, and WoTC have denied it, but it still circling, but after all the Shit they pulled last year, (Seriously they made Games Workshop look morally superior), rumours have been floating round that WoTC might be selling D&D to the company that owns Larian, (the makers of Baulders Gate 3), if true that might cause issues going forwards.

I might as well mention a few theorists have said this new killer looks like Dwight but infected by some sort of symbiote like creature. They point to the clothes and hair being similar to Dwight.
In my opinion this feels like it could have been a deadspace chapter as even tho this thing has a cryptid like reveal the more you learn about it it's more of a alien or military experiment. So I think maybe us bringing back Hawkins lab caused weird experiments to be unleashed into DBD 😅

hey so i have an intersting theory that mikela ried and the new survivor and haddie are all in the same realm because on the new map if you look at the hooks there the same as garden of joy and if you look at the the map offering for the new map its the same as garden of joy it might just be bug tho but i dont know and haddie mikela and the new survivor have some sort of power
