Well I was hoping that some Dead By Daylight Funko Pops news would come out of Funko Fair a month ago, where Funko showcased upcoming products on three different Wednesdays in January. Heck I was sure it was going to happen because a retailer slipped me a sheet saying Dead By Daylight Funko Pops were going to be announced at Funko Fair! But it never happened. Now we get an announcement from Dead By Daylight that due to circumstances beyond their control the Dead By Daylight X Funko Pop partnership isn’t going to see the light of day.

So, what happened? Who is responsible for the partnership dissolving? Is Funko in trouble financially? Was that what lead to the demise of the DBD Funko Pops? Is it salvageable? What’s next?

  13. I’ve said it before.. these pops would have been bought by not just DBD Fans. They would be purchased by horror fans and collectors in general. Nothing out there that looks like these pops. So unique. It’s really disappointing.. Also believe they would have brought a lot of new players to the game. Funko let us down here big time.

  14. I never bought one nor ever cared about buying one, however I think that's pretty shity of a company to pull out like that. Even though I may not be interested I know many would appreciate it, their loss I guess. Again Paulie thanks again for an update even though it's not my thing but I appreciate your effort and filling in everybody with what's going on with the community..

  17. Disappointment yet again. First the chapter was a flop and it's not even released yet, then DBD mobile disappeared from the store and now the collaborations are getting canceled. I dunno if it's worth investing money into this game anymore seeing that I might be throwing money into the air for the entire game with the possibility of the game going offline in just a few months.

  21. Aren't those just plastic dustcatchers? I always thought these funko pop thingies were unnecessary, overall.
    As if the world needs more ways of wasting oil.

    But i do feel sorry for those who like collecting the things, getting their hopes up and then being let down.

I'm gutted but can't say I'm surprised 2020 saw increase Ibn loads of collectors stuff because everyone was stuck at home and flippers also hopped on bandwagon now its all settling down and some folks ignore what's in shops because its not what they want/ need and it seems like all the new releases are just repeats which yeah for some work but a lot of collectors also don't like repeats

  23. Funko being the monopoly that it is – their downfall will give way for new companies to arrive and steal the show. So who knows? Maybe one of these new companies will seek for brands like DBD so that they can get an early jump to boost their sales – now that competition is the fairest it's ever been.

  35. SMH😭😭. The one time Claudette gets something where it is just her and of course it gets cancelled. I wonder why funko is struggling. I have 3 of them and plan on purchasing more, like how do collectible’s struggle! Ugh. I did see funko in 5 below during Christmas time and I was a bit surprised but didn’t think too much of it.

  37. They're doing a Funko Pop Figure of Arthur Pendragon played by Alexandre Astier in Kaamelott. It's a pretty popular show in France but i'm not sure in the rest of the world so i guess they're still doing some niche things sometime.

  39. I used to collect and sold off my collection at 1300 pieces or so. Collecting used to be fun, but then it became super stressful and then the prices started going up for instance from $9 at Target to $12. Don't get me started on trying to buy an exclusive from the Funko Shop. Unfortunately, I know several other collectors that got out of the game. I probably would've picked up the DBD ones if they were easily accessible though.

  40. I kept looking at their site every week, waiting to see the Funkos come in. Having heard this news, it breaks my heart. I'll never be able to have these four sitting next to Demodoggo, and I'm very sad about that.

In my opinion Funko did not cancel them …. think about it they make Pops from characters wich are waaay less recognizable , DBD is the biggest horror multiplayer and they know that …. this has to do something with BHVR itself . But yea they keep making bunch of Marvel pops …. and im so sick of it trilion Spider-man pops blue robotic or god knows what they just keep milking Marvel

  44. not surprised to see this. They shouldn't have produced so much part of the collecting aspect is keeping them rare. The gamestop i worked at we had so many that weren't getting sold and we were packed with them and that was 2016 and so yeah while sad to see its not very surprising
