Dead By Daylight's NEW Healing META!

In today’s video I use the new perk called “Strength in Shadows” which is used to heal myself in Basement, I then paired it with the perk “Botany Knowledge” to make the heal speed faster! We get some crazy games so make sure to watch until the end…

  1. Neymeti did a video for a healing build.
    But he used
    1.)Strength In Shadows
    2.)Self Care
    3.)Botany Knowledge
    4.)Desperate Measures
Making healing really fast. Granted, one would only be running all healing perks.
    But whatever, lol.
Everyone paid for their own game. People should run whatever they want.
Can't rely on team much in solo. Might as well be able to heal fast 👍

    Great vid as always 😊

  2. For anyone interested in the math behind DBD heal speeds (and how self-care and strength in the shadows work with botany knowledge), here’s a breakdown:

One heal requires 16 charges. The default healing speed is one charge per second (notated as 1c/s). When you achieve 100% healing speed, you are healing 1 charge per second. This means a heal would take 16 seconds at 100% healing speed.

Tier 3 Self-Care allows you to heal at 35% healing speed. In other words, T3 self-care heals at 0.35 charges per second. To find the time it takes to do a complete heal, you’d take 16 charges, and divide it by your charges per second value. In T3 Self-care’s case, we do X = 16 charges/ (.35 charges/second). This results in X being close to 46 seconds.

T3 Botany knowledge states that it “increases healing speed by 50%”. This percentage is based on the default healing speed of 1c/s. This means T3 Botany Knowledge adds a flat 0.5c/s to your healing speed, whatever it may be. When combined with T3 Self-Care, you’d get 35% + 50% = 85% or 0.85c/s. Using the equation from earlier, we’d do X = 16 c / (0.85c/s) to get 18.82 seconds.

Combining the new Strength in the Shadows with Botany knowledge would give you the ability to heal at 60% + 50% = 110% or 1.1c/s. Doing the math to find the heal time, X = 16 c / (1.1c/s) to get 14.54 seconds.

As a note, Strength in the Shadows and Self-care do not stack. The wording in those perks is “unlocks the ability to heal yourself at x% the normal healing speed without a medkit”. This differs from Botany Knowledge’s “increases healing speed by x%”. What this means is that if both strength in the shadows and self care are equipped, strength in the shadows will override self-care in the basement. MadeByMew demonstrated that self-care and strength in the shadows don’t stack through one of their videos. It could be a bug, but I doubt it, based on how the perks are worded. It follows similar logic to how self care doesn’t boost healing speeds when using a medkit.

  3. It’s at 90% of the speed, and also, this is why you should run territorial imperative in the ptb. And the meter on the left goes down when you look at the unknown.
