Scott: Very rarely does a mori matter in a match
Exactly the reason why these changes shouldnt of gone through at all, no one asked for this, the supposed people complaining that "MoRiS ArE ToXiC" dont exist anymore, most of my friends prefer moris to happen as you get to die in a cool way, rather than a slow float into the sky. Mori's were fine the way they were, and DIDNT need to be changed, i'm more pissed about the wasted resources into making this a thing than i am about moris being "nerfed".
This person complaining about nurse and the new zanshin is stating nothing of significance there, as if pallets mattered to nurse ANYWAY.
Skull Merchant changes, while i hate going against her, she DID NOT deserve this to happen, it was a public execution. All they had to do was either remove the haste OR hindered, not remove haste, and nerf hindered. At that point why is it even part of her kit anyway? 5% while quite significant, isnt significant when you lost distance to a survivor because a pallet was REQUIRED to be broken. Just because they're reworking her later, doesnt mean she should be deleted. The problem isnt the fact that its doom, its that it sets a terrible mindset for them. Its a terrible way to fix problems in a game, and is just overall bad game balancing and design in general. at that point they may as well just be kill switched until her rework. It isnt that i feel its doom and gloom for her, fuck her, its how it makes they approach things in the future when something is as bad as skull merchant is.
Distortion is not as bad as ppl say it is, but it has definitely been made nearly useless.
Everyone complaining about unknown is stating stupid stuff, this is just a QoL change for it. It didnt need any changes, maybe the visuals made a bit more visible, and the counter in the corner showing when the next hallucination is present, is just a really nice addition.

The DBD community has an inordinate number of people who hate DBD, don't understand DBD, and are bad at DBD, sometimes all at the same time. Killers complaining about people doing generators, Survivors complaining about Killers being able to win. Bunch of actual crybabies all over the place.
About Skull Merchant: You had better hope your preferred killers aren't the next victims, because despite your (baseless, anecdotal) claims to the contrary, history is full of examples of why it's a bad idea to give in to the demands of an irrational mob. After all, why shouldn't they go after more target when Behaviour just directly confirmed to them that they have that kind of influence now.

Who is going to be bringing a mori and not slugging for the 4k? You have to be high to think that's not going to be the primary method of completing the mori. Secondly, this change greatly reduces the amount of total mori's you'll see within a match. Where is the upside here? Why not just make mori's standard available to everyone on third hook state and offering the bonus bp with the offering? The fact that the offering won't be more beneficial for bloodpoint farming opposed to cakes or bps is a bad argument.
I wish they would just delete the fucking killer and give me my money back. I'll even take it as iri shards at this point. Fuck SM, I'm honestly glad that killer is essentially fully gone now. Only pissed that I bought the steam pack and now is just a useless killer portrait that I paid for lul.
The ppl demanding compensation for SM are hilarious to me. Whats the difference between a perk someone bought a character for, getting nerfed into the shadow realm vs a killer they bought, getting nerfed into the shadow realm? We both bought something for a specific reason, and when a perk gets gutted, we all just move on. But now b/c your fancy lil SM got nerfed, you want to riot and demand compensation? The entitlement is insane.
Mori offering is completely worthless just bring BPS and get more BP at the end of the match. If they bumped the bloodpoints earned to 100k or sth then it would be fine considering you have to get a 4k to actually activate it
For the Mori, they need to just retire the offering. give people some BP depending on the amount of Mori's they have and just remove them. Its very rare to see them now. and now that they are even more useless, when you can just run a pudding, what is the point in them?
My only complaint is with the new mori system. If i bring an ebony mori I should be able to stomp all 4 heads.
I think if they are gonna add yet ANOTHER way to increase the bloodpoint account of the match, they really need to make it so you can bring 2 offerings now instead, 1 for bloodpoints, and 1 for something like a map offering

i think itd be cool if they made it to where the more hooks you have the more BP the mori offering gives. so a 12 hook game would reward 80k bp compared to 30k for a 4 hook game. idk just a spitball but something like that could work and also help make the game more healthy
i want them to remove the bullshit that survivors do where they keep picking up their item to prevent crows from spawning, its so pathetic and these rats need to STOP

how often do you really get any benefit from dropping a pallet against nurse? outside of pallet saves
pyramid head will surely benefit from it alot but hes also not bad at hitting survivors when they drop a palletso i think people just have to get used to playing around it

This patch seems like a norhing burger beyond skull merchant and even as someone who had liked the concept the execution of skull merchant was HORRIBLE.
Theres several things just with tech and the motion tracker that they could have done and would have been better what we got for her.

Ffs these complaints are meaningless. Predator might just help you a little to not lose too much when you're losing, it is still better to NOT lose chases in the first place. This whole debate falls apart when you ask players if they're gonna main predator now. They won't! This perk even has a huge cool down on top of all. Its like saying that UNRELENTING rewards bad plays. It does NOT. It is still better to NOT miss. It helps newer players only
Solution:
Have the mori offerings BP bonus trigger on final mori OR hatch escape.
Now you have no reason at all to slug for the 4k and it just becomes a neat thing to use sometimes.
Also yes, make the BP bonus's like, 25/50/75k.
I don't play Skull Merchant much. But how many setup killers are there in the game? Not many. Outright removing one is terrible on multiple levels even if you don't play as Skull Merchant.
Also, I've seen other devs start down this road of reworking everything some people decide isn't fun. It eventually leads to everything being samey and boring. It's not a good idea to support this change because it will lead to worse things.
I think the patch isn't necessarily bad, it's just a nothing burger. SM is useless, Unknown feels worse, Deathbound has (some) use, and Zanshin was changed when I'd argue it didn't need to be. Other than that, this patch hardly felt noticable, likely because it didn't really affect me. The only other thing that I don't love is the change to moris and trying to make them more viewable, it looks ugly. In my dream world, it would just take the killer and survivor to a flat map (like the menu does) or maybe a cool-looking final boss-esque room. That's about it tho
Wait, why does everyone think updated distortion is more anti chase? The nerf is way weaker anti chase. Does know one realize you get tokens even when in chase?? to quote even the wiki "Also when the Perk was still Token-based, it was unique amongst Perks that charge based on time spent in the Killer's Terror Radius in that it would continue charging even when engaged in a chase."
