Hey everyone, today, on the lovely day of April 1st we are going to be discussing your theories. I asked for some wild and out-there Dead by Daylight theories for me to prove, and you all certainly delivered. Some are strange, some are pretty convincing, and others are… well, you’ll see. Let’s get into it.

Chapter 23 has been released! It’s Sadako Rising, a licensed chapter. The new killer is named The Onryō, and the new survivor, Yoichi Asakawa! Sadako’s gameplay is really fun, and Yoichi’s perks are pretty interesting.

  1. Theory: The Entity wants to corrupt Claudete

The thing is that I belive that if the Entity would corrupt a survivor into a killer would be none other than Claudette. I think that the Entity knows about her knowledge in botany and how it could be turned into the Entity's favour. Maybe it could manipulate her and bring her life into a pit inside the realm, making her more alone and making Claudette feel less empathy for the other survivors, maybe feeling betrayed for them at some point. Now, why would the Entity want that? because she could experiment and study the blighted flowers in a similar way like Blight did, but without the obsessing with them and wanting to use them in an interesting way against survivors.

Maybe Claudette could find a way to use those plants in a way to hurt the Entity, so that's why the Entity wants to corrupt her to use those plants against survivor and MAYBE find a cure or something similar for the Entity so it no longer reacts negatively to them. Maybe The Entity tricks Claudette to do that and it would free her from the trials, but it would be all a lie and maybe she could become a killer that uses florers as way to hurt survivors (like Poison Ivy, from Batman)

    So yeah, that's my theory

  2. The reason that Slenderman and his proxys haven't been brought in by then entity is cause slenderman has killed creatures like then entity before in his lore and he is to difficult to control. His ability to teleport between dimension means he could just leave a trail whenever he wants and he could very well take the surviors or killers away from the entity

  3. I know I'm late to the party, but I always thought the Entity was a twist on Yggrasil or the World Tree, being an Entity with limbs in all wordls or "realms" across the multiverse. The thing that made me think of this was how you can sometimes hear the Entity groaning or whispering when around certain trees.

  4. Idk if anyone has ever thought about this as well but initially when the legion came out I didn't think they were actually 4 different people but actually just Frank with multiple personalities. Those being the "rest of the crew"

I don't even have any arguments to prove this, it's just an idea I guess.

  5. Theory: Mikaela is the Hag. Why? The word "Hag" means witch, and Mikaela is a witch. Not only that, but both Mikaela and Hag are hated by the opposite side. Need any more evidence? No.

  6. I like the universal perks are from discarded survivors and killers, and the multiple versions of the characters are just the different versions from different universes theories the best.

  7. The multiple survivors theory could also explain why licensed survivors and killers may not look like their movie or videos game counter part. It just happens to be the version we got.

  8. So if auric cells are able to build things of the realm then aren’t the characters just auric cells what if this is all not even real what if we are the entity who hit so bored we decided to create realms people killers and clothing and everything just because he got so damn bored he just decided too

  9. I actually agree with the entity theory, except that it’s not just each individual player but the playerbase as a whole. The entity is weakened during Halloween because it’s a time when everyone plays horror games and so when the game servers are strained and a new event is running, the entity is strained, making the matches more unstable, buggy and laggy. And if people stop playing the game, there will be no more matches and the entity won’t be able to feed and will die.

So let’s just boycott BHVR and DBD so that me boy Dwight can escape from the realm

  10. BHVR is the entity. They release random killers and survivors just as the fog is said to pull them in. And they're feeding on the emotions that players experience throughout trials, so they ask you to rate every game on the basis of whether it was fun or not. Change my mind

  11. something i thought about with the undetectable status is the killers who have undetectable in their base kit.
it actually can fit the idea of it being linked to the entity.

the entity gets the killers to do one thing, find and kill survivors asap. but all killers with built in undetectable have their own motives for delaying a kill, or outright trying not to kill.

myers and ghostface: they love to draw out the kill by stalking. the entity may be pushing them to ignore stalking and just kill, so they disconnect from it in order to do their thing.

pig: she loves using traps instead of directly killing, giving survivors a chance to live. so while sneaking up to apply a trap she disconnects from the entity saying ignore traps, just stab them

freddy: loves to generate fear in peoples dreams before killing them, also in their dreams. so he blatantly ignores the entity in order to make people fall asleep before attacking.

sadako: she wants people to watch her tape and die to her curse. the entity may have empowered her to attack and kill without her curse but she still disconnects from the entity and clings to her tapes.

and lastly, wraith: he literally doesnt want to kill. he wants to hide from the bad guys and only kills when he has no choice. ringing his fathers bell makes him feel safe and hidden, breaking away from the entitys ever present urge to kill.

let me know if i missed any stealth killers.

edit: right, spirit. she was never a killer, just a young girl who was murdered. shes now trapped as a ghost bound by rage and vengeance thanks to the violence inherent in her bloodline. she most likely has a small part of humanity trying to escape her purgatory and move on, resulting in phasing partially out of the realm.

  12. The player is the Entity does make a lot of sense.

Think about it, through killers we see in first person, as if looking from behind their eyes (even when some killers don’t have eyes), which explains the red stain. But for survivors we see in 3rd person… as if we are someone looking over their shoulder, spectating them. We know the entity has direct communication and interaction with killers, but survivors resist the entity and it rarely has control over them. So that could explain the differences in POV.
We can also spectate trials we escape from or are sacrificed in as survivor.
    It makes weird logical sense.

There’s also what you pointed out of Trickster turning back and winking at the player, Sadako not only showing her power (like pinhead) but also jump-scaring us too (maybe she’s angry at the entity) and Plague speaking her prayers in the menu as she believes the entity is her god.

  13. Nice! My theory got in! 4:36 Also, the other part of my theory was how when the endgame starts that weird looking stuff on the ground could also be auric cells, the reason why the realm is breaking down probably because the entity reuses the realm to create another trial.

  15. Theory:
It's established that Pyramid Head is considered more powerful than the entity, remaining by choice just to enjoy the killing and judgement. However, what if that isn't true? What if that's only what the Entity WANTS Pyramid to believe? After all Pyramid is certainly very powerful, but if he truly is more powerful than the Entity and is not restrained by it, why does he allow himself to lose at all instead of outright killing survivors 100% of the time? I don't know every bit of evidence, but it seems to me that the Entity could just be allowing Pyramid Head to believe he is more powerful, possibly suppressing any urge to leave or think differently.

  16. Yun Jin : its kinda funny how Smash Hit is the perk most associate with her while Hillbilly's perk would be Enduring which have a love-hate relationship ingame
    Love the Doctor theory though.

  17. Theory: The Twins only have one soul. The entity knew how to bend Charlotte's emotions to its will using the only thing she cared about, her brother. It had the energy to briefly bring Victor to life just long enough for him to scurry a few feet, before sending a cultists to drag the corpse the rest of the way. It knew that Charlotte will do anything to protect her brother if she thought he was alive. Now that they're in the realm, only one of them is concious at a time, with the soul literally leaving their bodies (thus the whooshing sound) to pass between them. The entity simply keeps the bodies alive. The only time they can both be fully conscious is when they are attached. With the soul of a large, brawny adult controlling such a tiny body, Victor is imbued with superhuman physical abilities. When that soul is transferred back, it needs a few seconds to fully become melded to that adult form again, causing the wake up time. Then, the most obvious part, only controlling one, while the other remains dormant

  18. The last one is similar to a theory that I had but it’s not a person’s mind, the entity either saw a new horror film/TV show or made a creepy pasta and found someone to fit that description

  20. To add on to the theory at 8:31 we have seen Talbot transform into The Blight three times. The first time in The Hunger, the second time in Decened Beyond's intro, and the third in Doors Unknown. Furthermore, in Doors Unknown, Talbot gets surrounded by pillars, all of which appear to have his face in different outfits, and he transforms into the True Blight and not his base outfit in that story. Also in The Hunger, he is never called The Blight, but rather The Alchemist, as if this is a different character This seems to imply that there are multiple Blights, rather than The Blight having undergone multiple transformations.

  21. I think that the survivors can talk but they don't since the killer can even hear the sound of someone jumping a window so their way of communicating is through signs.
This is reinforced since in Bennedict Baker's diaries he says that he has told his name to some survivors but that sometimes he prefers not to and also in some perks at the end you can see a phrase said by the survivors

  22. There might be 2 parts to the Entity. Although this sounds strange, there might be 2 undercover survivors that are actually the Entity. Meg might be one of them . Her good personality of caring for her mother and being able to outrun the speediest of killers may make her the good side of the Entity. The bad side, although strange, might be David or Nia. David in his lore is known to throw beer bottles at people and Nia literally kills a man.
