  1. good points all around and stuff but … What the Heck was that Build you are running ?

If the Survivors have Plaything they are Oblivious and therefore can't be detected by Ultimate Weapon right ?

What exactly is the thought Process behind this ?
Maybe its a 200IQ Gigabrain Strategy but for me it seems kinda … Unoptimal.

  2. Frankly, The only license stuff i want is the return of stranger things, and Haunting Ground. People should be able to play content that's already in the game. the fact that it's not because some assholes wanted more money is very stupid if you ask me.

Haunting Ground I want cause there's not a whole of of psychological horror in dead by daylight. Doctor and maybe Freddy fall under that, making there victims hallucinate, but Haunting Ground really has that dehumanizing feel to it's horror. It's why it's my favorite horror game.

  3. I'm literally here for the licensed content. Other than the gameplay, Hall of Hame of Horror is the best thing about this game.

Agreed on more monsters. Original characters are fine, but they should ALL fulfill a trope (werewolf, vampire, yeti, etc) — and then open the floodgates to Legendarys – licensed werewolves, vampires, and yetis. Everyone wins.

The first thing they need to do, though, is elevate the value of Legendarys with one simple addition: put those a player owns on their character-select screen. Put em all at the bottom, whatever. Scrolling through your collection of characters is SATISFYING, and hiding them inside another character's clothing options is awkard, and "feels" like less content.

I'll buy every single Legenadary if it expanded my character roster, and whether you admit it or not, you'd feel that value increase, too.

P.S. It's 100% okay for Legendarys to leave the game when a license expires. Same goes for all survivors, since their perks are still available.

  4. Imo. We don’t need more licensed killers. We need more GOOD licensed killers. Killers like Wesker and Pinhead were done beautifully while Freddy and Michael are forgotten. That could be because BHVR had less experience with making good killers tho

  5. Behaviour should introduce more horror genres in the game besides "dude in a mask". Trickster tried go bring in a new horror genre but people didn't like it because he wasn't a dude in a mask

  6. in my opinion, for now, no. i feel like we haven't had a cool original character since the dredge, each killer release after was awful. knight was hated for the "two killer" aspect, skull merchant was called knight but worse, and the singularity was somewhat fresh but felt super underwhelming and seeing one became almost a rarity. licensed characters are amazing but that's the point, it's like they're throwing in licensed characters to dampen the fact that their original characters just aren't scary or creative anymore. at this point, how much longer until dead by daylight ends up looking like the mortal kombat armageddon roster? how much longer until they run out of licenses to chase after? i enjoy dead by daylight, but i also want something new and creative, something original, but that's just me.

  7. I don’t think this game would have succeeded without licensed content. I can’t speak for others, but I’m a massive lover for slasher films, and this game lets me play as my favorite slashers of all time. All the original killers are just an awesome bonus. For me personally, original chapters are a nice way to tide me over until we get our next big license

If DBD ever straight up said that they were done bringing licensed content to the game, I’d probably stop playing

  8. Bro imagine if Knight could choose to teleport to his guard spawn location while the guard takes his current position. Obviously that would need careful timing and cooldown placement to not become ludicrously too strong, but it would be a really interesting option and could allow for really convenient map mobility.

You made a really good argument for them to reel back the licensed content. I think the public domain horror monsters could be a really fun well for them to tap into.

  9. really pragmatic of you to admit that dbd might not be able to stop relying on licenses' support. A lot of people want to act like dbd is a monolith that can't be taken down, and while it is certainly a much more stable game than people give it credit for being…. it's still not untouchable. I 100% agree that seeing some QoL Would be fantastic. As you said- Especially for trapper (My boi so neglected, I cry every time, mascot can't have shit).

  10. I would love to see Chucky in the game. Imagine the maps having several "Good Guy" dolls around that Chucky could teleport to and possess. Each time he does, he tosses out one of his lines like "I'm Chucky, wanna play?". Survivors be on a gen looking at the doll nearby and then the doll just comes to life talking and running to them. That would be cool AF.

  11. i have no idea how they would do it but i would love to see The Night King as a potential killer and Jon Snow as a survivor or another character maybe. (Game of Thrones)

  12. I think I agree a lot with what you said. Less chapters would mean more time to balance the older killers. And it'd also give BHVR time to make licensed killers absolutely fantastic. Sadako, Myers, and Pinhead had powers emblematic of their franchises and uniquely theirs! But recently, licensed killers have gone kinda stale imo. Wesker is basically Demogorgon 2 Electric Boogaloo and Xeno is even WORSE, being a Demo 3 making his predecessor entirely redundant. While not nearly as repetitive as Wesker or Xeno, 99% of Pyramidhead's and Nemesis's gameplay loops also boil down to midrange zoning. I feel like this is a disservice to their licenses, and character design as a whole. The midrange zoner archetype is tedious! A good 15% of the killers already fall into this category! I want a power that pops, stands out from the crowd and captures the UNIQUE essence of the license! It doesn't have to be entirely outlandish, the two parts of Dredge's power (teleportation and warp back) are both things we've seen before but when combined they give him a unique flavor and rich gameplay loop. But give me something to really sink my teeth into, something I can't get with a different killer.

  13. So, imho, DBD's created characters, both Survs and Killers, are the best. Mikaela, Meg, etc. for Survs. Trapper, Legion, etc. for Killers. They all seem to have interesting personalities and cool perks. I particularly like buying Cos items, and licensed content is too restrictive.

  14. I'd like to see Jason a camp level would be cool and I like the films. I would also like to see them add the Shambler from quake but maybe that's too old school. Honestly behavior has done a good job making characters the art and sound design are actually incredible.

  15. I think dbd needs to stick with licenses but make them more spaced out, give us more In depth and well thought out characters, give us Heath updates or chapters with reworks and bit meta change ups, ext would be so much better than “new killer and new survivor, meh power and op perks so everyone buys them and then they need the perks in a month or 2” it gets old even with fun stuff like alien

  16. It bothers me that people still blame and mock BHVR for losing the Stranger Things license when a majority of the fans are the reason they asked for the license in the first place. The playerbase ask and beg for licenses and then get big mad that they're taken away by the license holders because they don't think of just how much BHVR has to deal with to get licenses in the game, and it's not BHVR's fault that it got taken away. Some people who play this game have no clue how spoiled they really are.

  17. To be fair I always preffered original chapters, because there is just so much more to unravel.
With license devs need to hold onto what was already created by others (aside from Ghostie, but this quite a lot of a different case) and while I can agree it's cool and stuff, I just think that if I really want to see this character because I like them, I would just go and play their dedicated game/watch movie. Also due to that og characters lack a lot of lore which I'm not expert, but really like to read it so yeah l for licenses xD
