its not the firs time BHVR took out a small game mechanic of a killer without mentioning it in any patch note. Before Billy got buffed he used to have a small speed boost after ending a chainsaw sprint but they took it out without ever mentioning it. Saying its a bug they just never got around to fixing is simply an excuse.
This community is always weird about stuff like this. It seems like people are eager to just disagree to make themselves feel in some way smarter but that's not the case when they're just assuming things about features that are niche and rarely showcased or talked about. Even the "Wraith Main" in the chat I'm skeptical of. Sure, they might actually be a Wraith main, but does that mean this person covers every Wraith playstyle and build on a regular basis to feel these weird changes? Not likely.
it definitely hasn't been working that way for at least a couple years. I've played Wraith quite a bit since 2022 and have used Serpent from time to time. Don't recall ever getting that speed boost. Would be nice to have that back though, he could use some addon buffs.
I’m don’t think anyone was trying to gaslight you.
We got new players joining this game every day and if this was left unchecked that long a lot of people would have the impression it was never like that.
Especially people who don’t play wraith much.
If I knew this was going on I would’ve backed you I’ve been playing the game 5 years and wraith is one of my favorite picks.
used this perk when I start DBD last year, and I clearly remember it does have speed burst, so probably the anniversary broke it, that event broke alot of stuff
i don't do much programming and am not formally trained with it but when you have a bunch of code that built up over time (with people handing it over to each other), stuff can get messy and break. i think dbd bugs are frequently a result of this process. when the solution to bugs arising tends to be "revert some changes back to when it worked", and the solution often needs to be applied quickly, then sometimes the baby gets thrown out with the bathwater and intended changes get lost in the process of removing unintended changes. all the back and forth with vault distances definitely felt like it might be that.
"for the first time I felt like I didn't know what I was talking about" Scott your head is perpetually shoved up your own ass, something I think you picked up from the late night crew child diddler squad
Another add-on that's weirdly unnoticed is Sadako's Wellstone It now reduces the cooldown after a survivor disables it, but all the wikis and even Otz's website state it's after you teleport to it I cannot for the life of me find a trace of when this was changed
While we're on this topic, anyone remember when Overcome use to work while injured? If you got hit while you had endurance, Overcome would activate. Now it only works if you go from healthy to injured. I've seen no update in the patch notes, nor have I seen anyone talk about it, sometimes I wonder if I just imagined that effect.
Content creators from dbd have nothing, to create anymore other than bs content.
I loved running this build, but lately it felt like they reduced the speed boost. I though it was just me being bad and not using it properly. Huh.

What are you talking about Scoot? You used to LOOOOOVE being gaslit
I've been playing this game 7 years and I remember this. It was a nice addon

Bruh I knew I wasn't crazy 😂😂 I played wraith a few days ago and tried it and thought I was just losing my mind😅
Chat never said that
Every copy of DBD is personalized
Serpent has been bugged for months. Been saying this for a while but people just ignore me.
I used to use this build frequently and stopped because this nerf made it shit
I used to run those two Wraith add-ons all the time, it got removed or was a bug. It definitely existed.
I MEMBER
I remember u got the speed Boost. Is it still bugged ?
Congrats u just discovered most of ur viewers are idiots

But Scott, it’s okay that we’re gaslighting you! You love being gaslit, remember?

I also didnt knew they buffed wraith and took it away
