the fact that dbd devs said that creating a monster killer that doesn't stand up on 2 legs are very unlikely to come to the game since they would need to create new animations is just sad… they have a top selling horror game and they aren't committing to it. listen: the vast majority of the community want a monster killer that doesn't stand on 2 legs. just give it to us! make those damn animation and make your community happy… why is this difficult to listen us players…
Could be a re-release of demogorgon
I was thinking the spider could cocoon survivors same way pyramid head cages people, since they do like to reuse things from past killers. Plus would make sense a spider would do that rather than hooking.

That spider looks like Demo's replacement.
I always assumed based on how it acted in the leaked cutscene that they are going to reuse Demo's kit but with a spider theme.
I’d be disappointed if it’s a bipedal spider, I mean…I knew an 8 legged spider isn’t something they want for some reason they are against changing things up…but I’d still be willing to give this version of a “spider” a shot I guess.

I can understand why people would want it. But for those that have Arachnaphobia (I’m one of those) I don’t see people enjoy that. I wouldn’t say that I don’t mind if but it’s a little creepy but that’s the whole point of this game.

I don't know that by peedle spider monster looks exactly like the demo gorgon I think it's a skin for the demo gorgon. Not only does the mouth move the same way the body structure is similar but if you look at the chest it looks identical to the demo gorgon the hands are also pretty similar
I think a good power could be web up windows or pallets or web like 2 paths and survivors have to take down the webs to get pst or be able to drop pallets or go through windows

Maybe the little spiders will be like the zombies from the resident evil chapter, or the chains from the hellrazor chapter. A passive ability, maybe they are scouts that scare survivors and reveal their location. Also I think the spider might have a rushing ability more like hillbilly or blight, just watch the way he runs in the archives cutscene. And I personally am really hoping its cacoons work more like pyramid heads cages.
