How Much of a Difference does a Crosshair Make for Trickster? | Dead by Daylight Killer Builds

Today we’re testing out the difference in how it feels to play trickster with and without an external crosshair to help line up your shots. We’re using the exact same build, on the same map types, and seeing how the matches feel in comparison.

  2. Personally, it looked like the dot helped a lot. You hit a bunch of shots around small object you probably would have missed (so would I btw, I’m trash) and it helped you at mid range. All those little things can add up quickly.

  3. i think not being used to the crosshair makes you whiff like you should without it,its like muscle memory winning your visual, plus crosshair done follow the recoil, its just in middle @ohtofu

  4. TLDR: crosshair be really helpful but good shots still have a bunch of other factors.

So I don't want to out myself….but as someone who uses a crosshair it helps me an absurd amount. It's nothing fancy, its literally a tiny triangle of masking tape on my monitor. Being able to instantly center my eyes on my target makes me significantly more consistent on my shots, but that's only 1/3 of the equation on huntress you need to know all the hitboxs of tiles and BRANCHS ON TREES AND LEAVES (not salty I swear). You also need to have a feel for the trajectory of the hatchet and know how it flies. With trickster you need to know which hand he's throwing from, since that also messes with its trajectory. The reason it so helpful is it streamlines the first split second of throwing. Your eyes are exactly where they need to be, no thinking required or second guessing yourself. Plus it also really doesn't affect close range hatchets or daggers and you still need to read survivors on those mid range or open area shots.

  5. You’ll notice the crosshair more when you want to be precise. Anytime you need to make a shot through or over a loop, crosshair is a W. When you can already see where the knives are going while spamming, better tracking ability and predictions will do you 10x more good. I main hitscan fps, I could probably frag on tracer without a crosshair but widow would be a nightmare.

  6. As a console player trying to learn a variety of killers, I would love to see a crosshair added in for trickster and maybe huntress as from my experience on pc, I can tell where the center of my screen is without a crosshair based on muscle memory. Hand to mouse and mousepad but with controller there's no memory there since the analog stick always reverts back to it's original position.

  7. I feel like your aim was definetly better on the second game, you seemed to almost always line it up with the survivors, the biggest problem was there was usually something in front of said survivor

  8. I think that Cheryl's point was that you get 25k BP for escaping with it and she didn't want to lose that BP boost, as the Glyph challenge is gone when you "repaired" it in basement. So if you die afterwards the BP are gone
