  1. The Knight is a very difficult killer in the sense that to play him effectively, you can’t just mindlessly plop his power down just anywhere, but he’s so satisfying and fun to play once you learn!

  2. I'm so happy you made this video. I came to many of these conclusions on my own, including feeling that the jailor is the best guard by far, in more ways than one.

The Knight can be very very good. He's just not your normal killer. But the fact that you can have one person hooked, have a guard chase someone else, and then chase another survivor yourself, you now have all 4 survivors being occupied and not doing gens, assuming the last teammate is going for the save like they should. I've had a LOT of scenarios like this because I planned ahead, and ended up having awesome games against great survivors as a result.

Area denial speaks for itself, which is another scenario the jailor excels at besides forcing a hunt by dropping them quickly. But man, hitting a gen with eruption, call of brine, and overcharge, and THEN dropping the jailor to deny the area for a decently long period of time so they can't stop the regression is reeeeeeally strong.

Also, you absolutely can force a guard hunt even without the jailor, you just have to do a little bit of predicting their path. Even though they see the green spirit thingy, if you drop it right on their feet, or ideally right ahead of where they're running to, they simply don't have time to react.

Cheers and don't give up on this guy everyone! I even agree he could use a small buff here or there, but he's still a very decent killer now.

  3. i found him to be really strong doing defending a 3 gen with patrol. the fact that he can patrol 2 gens at the same time. although i think the that he needs a change is his addons. He needs addons to increase the partrol distance and gaurd speeds.
Also someone said which i agree that is ability should turn invisible after leaving the killer from like 15m so survs cant just run away from a suprise long patrol

  4. I don’t understand why I see people saying he’s weak. Maybe it’s just me but his power clicked almost instantly in my head, I immediately classified him as S-tier and it showed with the amount of crap I achieved that no other killer except maybe Nurse could’ve pulled off. His ability to be in two places at once, whether it’s guarding a gen while chasing a different survivor, or doing the same while camping, or even corralling survivors and forcing them to abandon loops is insane. Hell most of the time the best way to use guards in chase is to just break pallets while still following rather than trying to get the guard to chase.

  5. I think with his brown add on the increases the guards’ detection radius (which makes it move faster upon activation) and the yellow add on that increases the hunt time, you can keep survivors preoccupied for a good amount of time

  6. exactly like scott jund said its like a worse artist just drop your guard asap and deny loops then do nothing else ah he is also bugged and you can keep your speed from power if you get stunned while using it by a palet

  7. I think what they need to do is have the Knight move when summoning the guards, like pointing the sword at where he wants the guards to go. It would be a lot better both appearance wise and it would help him apply more pressure.

  8. I see a lot of copyum this killer is far by the worst i can do better with Sadako any time. This guy is trapper lvl and the ai is damn bad it moves backward and starts chase while survivors shift w and safe ….. i played 20 games of this killer and a lot of against it escape rate is 100% against him…. and got 4k only once if you got survivors who know the game no matter what you do you get destroyed…

  9. I can only imagine how many complaints about this character would come up if they were actually good. I don't get why summoning isn't just a delayed projectile/charge-and-point ability instead of a drone camera.

  10. Hey there Coconut, recently found your channel and have been really enjoying these latest essay-structures breakdowns! I was actually extremely surprised to see all these videos talking about how "Bad" the Knight is – I was extremely confused. The moment he launched on Live, I bought him immediately and have played nothing but him since. And so far? I have only been 4-manned once by a SWF with all 4 running Breakdown + Saboteur + No Mither. Every other game since then I have killed at least 2 out of 4, and more often than not I'm getting clean sweeps of all 4.

What you've found through this video is completely true. In fact, from my own play sessions, I've found there are 4 main philosophies that really make the Knight go above and beyond, to keep in mind when playing him. Denying loops, Cutting off escape routes, Distracting/Delaying Survivors, and Sandwiching. Knowledge of the map's layout and general counterplay really shines here. When you're just needing to keep another survivor busy, toss a Guard their way and continue your work. When you want to really secure a chase, get a Hunt going and instead of following behind along with your Guard, work out how you can instead cut off the Survivor you're chasing – this same principle goes with cutting off escape. Don't try and drop a guard on them unless you're already close and can insta-drop a guard in range.

Instead, think of your surroundings and make them suffer for it. Drop a guard further ahead of them, and they will either be forced to run directly into them, or turn around and run into you. If you can, try and let your Guard get the first hit – then immediately follow up for an insta down. Or, if you end up getting an easy hit, do so BEFORE your Guard notices – this means they will not immediately despawn, and when the Survivor runs away from your hit, they have a high chance of running right back into your forward Guard trying to get away from you.

You said it perfectly – the Knight is all about strategy, and setting up the Survivors to do what you want them to do, and go where you want them to go.

  11. I hate playing him and against him. He just feels like, drop gaurd -> is there another loop nearby? If yes than survivor gets away and you wasted time, if no than you get a free hit with little counterplay. Not very engaging for either side.

  14. Oh no the huntress player thinks the tactical Killer is bad…
none of you "Loopbreaker" Killer players will ever come to a good result with any Killer who is like Knight, Onryu, Dredge, hag, Demo or Freddy…
    "ThEY aRe BaD"…no…YOU are…with them….
me, I am a Freddy and Hag Main…I am bad with Nurse, Blight, Billy, Oni, Huntress and Slinger…
and I am not learning them because in my inner, i do not want to! Why should I?
I HATE looping! These Killers are the Way to not have as much of that!
YOU love looping and you play Killers that break loops!
But what people like you get wrong is:
NO, Looping is not THE main point of this Game. There are many, and we are more than you, that HATE looping !
It is not the fun in this Game, is a situatiuon that I want to avoid at all cost!
But you people close your eyes, call people that think like that noobs when you are in reality the Noob yourself, that declares his playstyle as THE playstyle and all others are just Noobs!
A: Learn to play with all Killers
    or
B: Just stick with the Killers you can play, stop the crying and , most important, stop the bullshitting!
