4:16 Yep, that's how it works and it's complete bullshit!
I distinctly remember a game as Deathslinger on Coldwind where I got a basement hook in the central shack, then I defended it perfectly and injured everyone while leaving the shack multiple times, only to have him get a free unhook anyways because I stepped into the shack again to confirm it at the last second; it's by far the most egregious case of handholding in the game right now, I was never closer than 10m to him at anytime (in the upper shack) and regularly went 25m or more away from him and he still got off the hook for free.
I've noticed something weird: I never get Tru's videos in my recommended.
I get DbD videos, and from small and big creators, but I always have to search for Tru3Ta1ent. 🤔
seeing surge pop back to back like that is so satisfying to me
did this guy unhook himself on stage 2?
Should have been camping hooks lol 3 wiffs and blames the game for it when he was swinging too early. 😅😅😅
4:16 happened because of when in the game this close proximity happened, that let this guy have a 100% escape attempt. This was early in the game. More things like this will happen when its early in the match. IMO.
Based on what I read the unhook mechanic is not based on terror radius but a flat 16m. Given you were going around the hallways and back to the survivor you were always within that 16m radius. And you would be surprised at how fast that bar actually fills the closer you are to them. That unhook was a guarantee. unless you moved on past central point of the map.
