I just realized you actually playing the older version of dead by daylight are you a time traveler or something?
You just forget only little thing, the perk rapid brutality with 8 stacks it was really really fast and oppressive so they needed to nerf but this nerf was really bad in Overall
You need to do this kind of video with every old perks
They should revert the nerf, it was the only reason I played trapper 🙁
One of the best sbfl users was demo, not deathslinger. Demo m2s are very easy to hit and you could save all your stacks. Also now as far as I know deathslinger looses stacks when he shoots obsession without injuring them and then looses stacks again when he hits the obsession with m1 making it 4 stacks per healthstate.

Side note: Save the best for last had an unused icon for it before they got the license if I remember.
Keep it to 5% per token but is deactivated while within 4 meters of hooked Survivors. Easy.

Another thing is (from a slinger main) though save at b4 was strong on slinger, now its too bad for him, the m2-atack loss change is super cringe on him. He loses 2 stacks for the shot on the obsession and 2 more for the hit. Slinger shouldn't lose that many for shots on the obsession, makes it unfair on him since he doesn't injure u with the harpoon as is
I really only use STBFL for my slinger now, considering that the "Let the obsession get off the harpoon then down them and only lose 2 stacks instead of 4" trick still works for him. plus I really don't have any reason to use STBFL for any other killer because I'm mostly using my M2 ability over my M1. As for the Twins update, its times like this I am grateful for being a killer main.

Yea, I still think it shouldn’t have been nerfed (in the recent patch).
If it was meant to avoid quick-hitting recently rescued survivors; it didn’t do anything, they only took away a playstyle of M2 killers.
They should’ve just gave it a penalty (like loosing stacks) if you injure a survivor with Endurance Status Effect.

all video hearing about the camping part, i was like "just make it deactivate if you're within 8 meters of a hook" yeah i miss the save the best perk. it was a fun perk if you wanted to be aggressive in chase. just like the change to deadhard should've just been to remove the invincibility frames so it just boosts you forward a little bit. no need for an animation, then to keep nerfing it constantly wasting dev time on it.
anyway. i liked using the perk but it was also constantly glued to every demogorgon in existence and it was super annoying on him as survivor.
I sure love seeing my stacks depleted when my m2 power accidentaly grazes the obsession (she hasn't lost a health state)
Old unrelenting + old stbfl sounds incredibly broken.
I'm kinda new to actually playing instead of just watching this game but for some reason it hardly seems fair…

Bring back save and unrelenting combo 😂, but seriously that combo was so stupid
To fix this perk, I'd have a solution: make the perk work on the speed at which the killer moves while recovering instead of the recover time itself, and I'd revert the M2 nerf. Of course, this means they should change the numbers to balance it.
Personally I think the obsession mechanic for perks is unhealthy and outdated and should go. It encourages either tunneling one player or ignoring one player. It's thematic but outdated. The same complaint people used to get lightburn removed.
Please name one obsession perk that has ever been healthy for the game or hasn't caused problems at some point? They've always been problematic, bad or unhealthy.
Also obsession related archive challengers are always the worst. Like kill the obsession 10 times, hook the obsession 14 times. Stuff you literally have to play like 10 games for or throw the game running a specific build for.
Honestly I would be fine if they nerfed it to 3 percent or made it 5 or 6 stacks with 4 percent if I can play Deathslinger like that again.

also what are your thoughts on the 3 gen solution. I honestly think that its silly that survivors no longer get punished for not being carful about what gens are completed. I think a better change is once 10 minutes have passed with 1 gen remaining the last 3 gens are now given a maximum of 5 kicks each
Honestly leave the perk alone.
Just retool it so the obsession has more to do with it. Because the killer doesn't want them to die but being froced to interact with them helps deal with the power it has
They take hits the weaker it gets. Make the obsession more aware of the perk so they can help against it.

You forgot to mention that on the PTB
The original nerf had the perk lose tokens if the obsession is injured by any means
Which means they can use plot twist, FTP, or any perk that injures them and they can simply delete your tokens
They realized that was a problem so they immediately changed it to special attacks

First of all, the clip with Clown, that's on you, SelfCare user, that's called skill issue (sorry, didn't mean to be rude or something).
Also, the major problem with stbfl from my experience wasn't the camping, but the tunneling, because good teammates could prevent camping killers with stbfl but tunneling is way different especially in soloq; they mostly tunneled at the start of the match the same survivor (non-obsession) out of the game without even losing tokens from the moment they never hit the obsession and with the cooldown reduced it was obviously easier to chase the same survivor out (and like you said, Deathslinger was the best user, and imo it was drastically unfair since he could hit survivors from afar and pull them towards him, ignoring the basekit anti-tunnel mechanic and also injuring the obsession without losing tokens).
But imo, like you said, this last "rework" did absolutely nothing significant to the perk, and the best thing they could have done is making the killer lose 2 tokens also after hitting Endurance – Deep Wounded survivors, as this would make tunneling a bit more inconsistent. Also, this would have made the perk useless on Legion (no problem) and Deathslinger, so that's a W for survivors; this is just my idea.

This perk was fine devs nerfed for no reason, too many cry babys. It's sad esoecially when every meta survivor perk is stronger than previous version of STFL. Now It's just a meme perk 😪
