Ayo we listing out all the utility perks for killer in dbd, and then slapping them on a tier list for that sweet sweet content. Keep in mind these are ranked solely on the utility they provide and nothing else, and we may end up doing a full tier list later on.

  1. Isn't hex pentimento a Utility perk? I think it should be A or B tier it can be inconsistent and depends on the survivors breaking totems. But the value u get is one of the strongest gen slow downs and looking for the totems again.

  2. something else to note about hysteria is how crazy it can be on plague, survivors getting sick activates this, and it's not too crazy to have all 4 sick and affected by hysteria, similar to forced penance on twins in that it's super niche but very strong on plague, it makes survivors more likely to cleanse and thus give you your power, which you could then potentially use on a survivor who didn't cleanse

  3. I actually made a spreadsheet and came up with 4 unique categories for perks that I think fits better than what you did here.

For killer you have info (any perk that gives information), chase (any perk that helps to in chase), delay (anything that directly slows down survivors) and pressure (any perk that allows the killer to create pressure outside of chase or delay). Example of each: BBQ & Chilli (info), Bamboozle (chase), Hex Ruin (delay), and Make Your Choice (pressure).

For survivor you have info (same), evade (any perk that helps in chase or helps with stealth), efficiency (any perk that makes you do something faster), and recovery (any perk that helps you recover from a bad situation). Example of each: Kindred (info), Sprint Burst (evade), Prove Thyself (efficiency), and Unbreakable (recovery).

I labeled every perk as 1 category and only 1. I assigned it based on it's primary purpose. So for example, Pain Resonance could be both delay and info, but since it's primary use is to slow down the gens I label it as delay. After doing this and adding everything up here are the results:

    Info (killer): 22
    Chase: 15
    Delay: 24
    Pressure: 32
    Info (survivor): 21
    Evade: 30
    Efficiency: 20
    Recovery: 33

I did not aim for this, it's just how it came out after doing the spreadsheet. Basically if you think of delay/efficiency and pressure/recovery as polar opposites, the number of perks are is relatively equal for each side. Also both sides have relatively equal info perks. The only area where there is a big discrepancy is chase/evade, but considering that most killers use their power for a chase and not perks, and the need for survivors to both run AND hide from the killer it kind of makes sense for it to be that way.

Just something fun I'd thought I'd share.

  4. I think blood echo is c tier, I used to run a build with it on wraith. Wraith being hit and run made blood echo a huge benefit. Also I haven’t tried this but I think running blood echo and fearmonger could be excellent combo

  5. Tinkerer is very consistent perk. I bet 9/10 people would run tinkerer over hysteria. Even for undetectable status effect. Yes it only works or twice, but on instant down killers. that once or twice is free down in most cases. Apart from undying, It might even belong A-tier because even getting free hit is time that survivor has to heal. Probably better than Iron maiden and Agitation.

  6. There's one thing I have to say about Insidious: Meyers. Undetectable stalking is great, especially from Tier 1 to 2. Not easy, but when it works, it's great. And there's gen camping with insidious too, especially with Tier 3. I've had great use of it on Meyers in Lerys stalking the main room gen from the second floor.

  7. I like running detective's hunch to clear totems after i do gens, and fearmonger absolutely ruins that to the point i have like 2 seconds to scout all the totems in the area after i pop a gen

  8. To be fair he did expect people to disagree with him but I’m still surprised Agitation only got B tier. Two of the things he talks about a lot are consistency and time efficiency, both of which are areas Agitation does very well in

  9. No argument here. But I did want to say that Agitation shocked me when a friend of mine used it on Doctor. if memory serves he used Starstruck, Agitation, Dead Man's Switch, and Distressing along side double Calm. Donno his mmr but still. That poor team.
