Try not to draw any big conclusions from the data but it does appear killer benefited a bit more than survivor.

  1. 99% of the DBD player base does not watch streamers, they don't read patch notes, they don't know anything about the meta, they don't go to the forums or Reddit, they don't watch dev update streams and they don't know those exist. They don't know that ranks changed to grades or whatever, and they will never know. They will just continue to think red rank = good. They probably don't even know they aren't de-pipping anymore. They're still operating on outdated 2017 "Use Claudette because Self-Care" advice. They don't know BBQ & Chili has no BP bonus anymore.

Anyone who is reading this comment right now is by definition an outlier, you are an aberration of the DBD community because you care enough to be here seeking deeper content for this specific game. Everyone who knows about any of the stuff I listed is an extreme outlier. We are not remotely representative of anything the broader DBD community does or thinks.

  2. Self care is still good. yeah it's true that it takes more time now to heal yourself but with resilience, you can 99% yourself and fix gens and you can heal yourself if the killer starts chasing you, and circle of healing isn't that great it's a waste of time because you need to look for totems and it takes a lot of time to activate and the killer can break it in half a second.
The best choice is medkit but sometimes you want to use flashlight or toolbox that's why ppl are using medkit
Circle of healing can benefit only in some maps that have floors because it's harder for the killer to find the totem.

  3. To be fair I’m devotion 7, so I would say above average and I use windows to guarantee the longest chase possible, even though I know where the pallets are. I only play solo queue tho

  4. I feel like we all knew this because of how long killer queues have been this patch. Nobody wanted to play survivor so they either stopped playing or switched so there were so many killers playing.

  5. I had a default feng and claudette using self care on RPD.
They were beginners, couldn't find gens and were determined to use it.
Painfully, they immediately got hit by the killer after they healed Knowing that they would participate in another 50 agonizing seconds self caring while at 4 gens –
it hurts so much being in the hook and seeing them self care.
Even after offering a helping hand to heal, they insist to self care.

  6. The fact the these are the percentages is fucking hilarious. Not only does survivor require infinitely more knowledge, absolutely demands you sweat 24/7, but the disparity between perks is insane. Survivor perks on average requires specific conditions for sometimes very little if not borderline nothing. Sure once someone has 500+ hours then MAYBE the match will be even (unless either side gets RNG hell) but it is insane how absolutely killer sided this game is and so many people deny it. Killer as a role has a very low skill floor, you need very basic knowledge about the game in order to be at the very least decent along with perks that would make a paraplegic be competitive. Tie allllll this into the fact that the average killer is also toxic as all hell and you have probably the worst experience you could possibly have for trying to enjoy a game. There's a reason survivor CONSTANTLY has a 100% BP bonus and it's because survivor is so god damn insufferable to play in comparison to killer.

  7. I feel Like Killer arent really Stronger, cause u really depend on anti gen perks with many killers and if u play fun builds, u get gen rushed pretty fast so yeah killers are strong but a coordinated team destroys u

They need to upgrade the quality of live for solo q survs its really frustrating 😊

  8. I don't understand why 47% was deemed to be "too low"? Most games would cream themselves to be so close to 50/50, which is objectively balanced, and for a company like BHVR who value data over interpretation of said data I don't see their logic.

  9. I watched True look at this on stream. The man legit talked shit about how Dead Hard is second most used perk now, making fun of it being "dead" and in the next breath while looking at killer statistics saying that they don't matter because it doesn't show the MMR. TOP KEKS.

  10. i do hope it doesnt get any worse, i think the kill rate needs to hover between 50 and 60%, the game just isnt fun when the average joe is able to get 3k's every time with just a nemesis or whatever the most popular killer is now

  11. Honestly the change for survivors getting less speed after getting hit is BS. The rest of the changes for killer is fine

For self care, you should compare the time with booning CoH and then healing. Most of the time the killer will just stomp out the boon and idk which is faster

  12. As a killer only player I don't use any of these perks anymore. I see Self Care a lot though, and I'm not sure whether it's because people want to heal themselves, or they're running the CoconutRTS stealth build with bite the bullet.
I'd still use Pain Resonance if it caused the survivors to scream again, but I can see why it was removed from the perk. My reasoning to why I want the scream back is I have a build on Onryo that used Pain Resonance, Infectious Fright, Iron Maiden, and Deathbound with the Distorted Photo add-on. Survivors will always be screaming all the time; its both funny and practical. While screaming, their actions are interrupted such as pulling down a pallet or vaulting a window. It turns Onryo into a semi-doctor and I love it.

  13. lol i have 2k hours and windows is an amazing perk in solo que when you have no idea which tiles have already been played or havent. you dont need to be new to use windows lmao its an amazing perk for extending loops massively. With recent killer buffs this perk is even better now (not a direct buff) just helps read the map with the fact that now killers bloodlust much faster.

  14. speaking for someone who mainly solo ques or plays duo there's needs to be something implemented for communication. too many ppl crouching and hiding and not helping progress the game. its ridiculous i swear i cant get my mmr higher to get paired with good survivors. and before any1 @ me on average i can run the killer for a while.

  15. Think another reason for the change is that as a survivor you are much more free in choosing your perks. Before I always HAD to bring Borrowed time, and Iron Will was my favorite crutch. Since one became basekit and the other nerfed into oblivion it allows for much more varied builds.

  16. tbh I feel like kill rate has gone up partially due to more survivors giving up and killing themselves on hook. since the update I’ve seen wayyyyyy more survivors give up or afk or dc or kill themselves on hook. idk why that is tho lmao.
