  1. Had a game where four survivors were running flashlights, I pretended to be AFK for the start of the match and they ended up finding me and just trying to fuck with me. So I picked up my controller and slugged them all and won the match. I never even considered that if I was running lightborn then, they woulda just stopped and worked on gens and I would have lost badly.

  2. If they bring you to Haddonfield and try to waste your time and fuck you over with flashlights at lockers while the other two do gens, it's annoying as hell. Lightborn still probably not worth it.

The feeling of saying "fuck your flashlights" can be nice though 🥰

  3. You underestimate how fast people with Sprint Burst or Dead Hard can get in front of you, Lmao.

    Funny Story:

One time I was Killer on Ormond and I downed a Kate toward the end of the game. At that time, there was a injured Cheryl that had Dead Hard, a Claudette that I knew had Sprint Burst, and some other person I can’t remember.
Now I also knew almost all of them had flashlights, and I’m pretty sure they were a SWF, so I suspected Kate had Unbreakable. So, I looked everywhere around me, then I tried to find the best angle to pick her up at since I downed her in a open area, and then pressed the pick up button….

Here’s what I saw on my screen after that:

The injured Cheryl IMMEDIATELY runs out from behind a tree and DHs to get in front of me.

I hear footsteps behind me, which is the Claudette hauling ass with Sprint Burst and she gets in front of me.

The other Survivor was behind a rock or something, and also runs out with the other two.

    ALL of them had flashlights…

The best part is that since all 3 of them tried to blind me at the exact same time, they blinded me before the animation ended, meaning all of that coordination to save Kate failed. Needless to say I was dying while I hooked Kate.

  4. The points made in the video are valid, but lightborn has more value than you think. 1. Like survivors, you also become more time efficient. If you don’t need to worry about flashlights, you can pick up survivors faster. 2. Survivors can’t blind you during chase, but will often try anyway, leading to free hits or even downs if you are Myres or Oni. 3. Not everyone is a super coordinated SWF. I’ve had multiple games where multiple flashlights were brought in and each person tried to use it and failed

  5. Just watched a match where TrU3 got bullied by an swf team with 3 flashlights. No matter how much he tried to avoid it, he got blinded. 3 survivors can keep bullying a killer with this while only one survivor can do the gens. So I have to disagree with Scott here.

  6. Had a discussion about this after I got a bunch of feedback regarding one of my last videos. We settled on the idea that after survivors get a flashlight save there should be a small cool-down before they can do it again to stop rare instances of abuse.

  7. Can't agree here, and I have gotten rank 1 as killer. Any time I see a lobby full of 4 flashlights, Lightborn is going on. Because it means one of two things: either they're not a SWF but just a group of randos, in which case they won't have the coordination to call it out, or it is a SWF looking to bully, in which case I want the game to be over quickly and all I'm hoping to get is Barbecue and Chili stacks to get a bigger BP payout, because this game isn't going to be fun no matter what happens.

Besides, you can still mindgame with lightborn, just pretend you don't have it, use all the tactics to dodge flashlights, and when it matters most, swoop in and down somebody trying to blind you.

  8. Starstruck is the real counter to flashlights, because even if they get the save, they get the expose status and you get a tradeoff of another down, stops bodyblocks, plus you get faster downs and can push people off gens with the expose. Better counter for epileptics is to have DBD in windowed mode at 60% or lower resolution at a fair distance from the screen with your screen brightness down, been messing around to see if the colorblind modes help, but it's mostly just reducing the size of the light that helps the blind is a UI overlay :(.

  9. A lot of fun can be had from going for flashlight saves, it's mostly just fucking around as opposed to sitting on a gen or chasing. If you have to use a perk, Infectious is a much better option to know if anyone's around before you pick up. Or just… face a wall

  10. Yeah i disagree , survivors get the absolute stupidest blinds even when you chase them off , been blinded multiple times with my face against the wall, and then you waste a massive amount of time trying to get a survivor again which with gen speeds the way they are usually ends up you losing a gen to a 30 second chase so they get closer to finishing their 5 objectives versus you not even getting 1 of your 12. Youd also be surprised how many still try to blind when you have light borne

  11. "they will stop trying to blind you"
You say that but dumb survivors will often keep trying and will get themselves killed and it's hilarious every single time

  12. i have players with single digits brain cells.
I've had people try and blind while i break a pallet.
I broke the pallet and stood there waiting for the blind.
while i walk up and punch them in the mouth.
but im never at a high level. i simply dont play enough.
i rarely use but i do sometimes.

  13. I think it is meant as more of a troll perk which brings me to one of my biggest issues with Killer; where be the troll perks?

Survivors have much better troll perks and I think a lot of animosity would be relaxed if Killers could fuck with or "get even."

  14. Honestly, kinda glad that you made this video, because god damn people have complained about flashlights after the nerf to them stating they're op but they just don't know how to deal with them.
Ever since you stopped being able to instablind, flashlights have been in a fine spot and if you're having issues with them, ITS YOUR ISSUE. take some time to learn to counter it.

  15. Only time I see lightborn is when the game matched me against some baby killer that got bullied one too many times by flashlights and doesn’t know that you can simply stare at a wall lmao

  16. Also a lot of the times pretending like you’re gonna pick up one way then just turning the other way works. Unless they have a saved sprint burst or someone happens to be behind you with one ad well, you’re gonna get the pickup
