At what point does it become selfish to try for the win in DBD, when you are getting peoplewho know you, that want to come in and tell you how betrayed they feel. The idea that someone can be so attatched to the game on a level, that they treat it as if I just slapped them in the face, I don’t like losing either but I take it as a loss and gg the player, no matter how they took it, be them friends, people I have met etc. Anyway I thought I would use this display to talk about a topic that is ongoing for me.

A group of up to four survivors must elude one killer. The survivors’ perspectives are third-person, while the killer’s perspective is first-person. The survivors cannot fight against the killer and can only survive by running away and evading them. They must use obstacles in the form of wooden pallets, windows, and items that they either find inside chests or bring before the match starts to run from the killer for as long as they can. In order to escape, survivors must repair 5 generators scattered across the entire map to power the exit gates, then they must open the exit gates and leave the area themselves or find a hatch to jump into.

Seeing some confusion from those involved and any misunderstanding! – this video is an example of how some people can be so flippant over a game and a loss, to simply "lose respect" or threat of, just because we play a certain way or whatever, it was a good way to breach the subject. This isn't a specific friend etc, this is someone who had a "good" opnion of me, then changed it after one game, used as an example to talk about the subject matter. please understand that <3 love you all!
Why do you blur the guys name all video if you're just going to say it multiple times at the end? If you're trying to protect the guys identity from abuse perhaps mute out saying his name buddy. The guys already recieved hate from your community, who whilst you might not be able to control, you do cultivate, so if there are numerous toxic people going at this person, perhaps it's because of the type of community you are creating. As a content creator you have a responsibility to do good, and create good environments, not direct hate (whether you did directly or indirectly) at others. Be better instead of using his emotions to bait views then doing a sloppy ass job at censoring his name.
I'd seriously reconsider having this video up in it's current state if you're going to sit on your moral high ground about it. Practice what you preach my dude.
Don't hate the player, hate the game. At the end of the day the devs can't balance the game so that killers have enough time to play nice.
Its that simple.
At high level play 4 experienced survivors far outbalances 1 experienced killer. As long as the survivors play efficiently it's almost impossible not to get the gens done.
So yeah nobody blamea survivors for using what the devs have created to win games.
Why would you blame the killer for doing the same?
And at the end of the day it's just a game. It's supposed to be recreation, if you're not having fun then play another game. DBD is not the game to play if you're easily tilted or jaded because it is a game where it's just… it is what it is.
There's tonnes of other games you could play that are less dependant on how other people play to determine your fun. Play those.
Then when you're chilled come play dbd again.
But don't berate killer players just for playing the game. Especially when people who are calm like Jay explain to you that it is absolutely nothing personal he is not trying to ruin your game or your fun because of you as a person. He is just trying to win.
Believe it or not. Walking around the map getting the odd hit here and there while survivors play really well and body block for each other etc. Isn't very fun for killers.
If you are gonna tell me that there is anything a killer can do against a team that committed to being altruistic and playing that well. While remaining within the play nice rulebook. Then I am telling you you're a liar.
If a team takes hits for each other and plays efficiently on gens etc. Killers can have a miserable time.
Are you trying to make that particular player miserable by playing the game well? No. You're just trying to win and have fun.
Its very rarely ever fun to lose.
Its a game where 1 side sadly has to lose unless its 2 out but let's be honest win conditions in dbd are blurry at best and non existent at worst.
So suck it up. One sides gotta win both sides want to win. Grow up and stop moaning.
Honestly I would say don't worry about it, not to name other streamers but everyone camps and tunnels and slugs to get wins and these are big streamers everyone likes them, no issues, but when any other killer does the same tactics people get really bitter. I tell mistyymelons and octo all the time, you guys play sweaty expect it back lol, you can't expect not to be tunneled when smashing gens, getting flash light saves, sabo hooks and taking hits, when survivors have all the pressure it's the killers jobs to put that pressure back on them, if you know a killer is camping the best thing to do is smash gens and try and get that pressure back to force the killer away, so Jay, you played the game in your normal style and same as many other big streamers, you aren't toxic or nasty or insult people, you played it and out pressure on them cause they smashed the gens and forced your hand that way, that it, don't let this get you down,
There's no such thing as a friend in the gaming community, they are just there for their own personal gain and then they spit you out.
Actual friendship has a much deeper meaning. A nice person that you know is not your friend.
I take it as a personal insult if you don't camp me Jay!😂. No in all seriousness people take this game way too serious and it's a shame there is such a divide. We are all just playing the game for fun and with a lot of things there has to be a winner and loser and the game is built around kills = wins for killer players so at 1 gen nobody dead the only sensible play is to camp and tunnel.
Where this fundamentally falls down though is if Jay didn't camp and they had a 4 escape and Jay had said well I had no fun that game you bought new parts, prove thyself etc and gen rushed me. He would be seen as a salty killer so can't win either way.

Honestly to me, they just sound like your typical salty survivor, the David to me was not even really camping since they come to the hook a few time while you were around (plus like you said, they could traded) they did not really give you time to even more away, and as for the Ace, yeah you camped a bit but it’s the last gen, you had one kill, at this point if a survivor is mad about the camping and not “having fun” then that on them, as ITS THE LAST GEN! Pretty much the end of the match. Plus you did leave the Ace which they went for the unhook.
People should not hold grudges or hate over a game. Shit, if my friends and I ever are on this situation where one is a killer and the other is the survivor we pretty much will tunneland camp each other with nods for memes 😅 but if it’s meant to be a serious match, then we play our best and if that involves killing each other well then all we say is “shit gg hope to see you in the fog again 😁”
People who defriend you over a game are not worth your time, your better off without them. There are plenty of friendly fishes in the sea 😊

Hey, thanks for making me famous. The Ace player here. From what I see, you played really badly, missing multiple hatchets and resorted to face camping to get any value from the game. Honestly it's a rough map for Huntress, I get it. Actively making the game unplayable for 1 person is boring for that person and it seemed like they were genuinely shocked that you resorted to that play style. This video is entirely click bait however and you should kinda feel ashamed for that. You know full well that none of the people in this game are "your friends". The solo Q Dwight was the one to send you to RPD, so that's not on us. I will say however, your Terminus is the one and only time I've ever seen that perk get value and that is the single reason you got 3k. Thanks and have a good day <3
When the person said killers are killing the game they are wrong. The devs are making the games more and more heavily survivor sided
I never understood why it’s always the killer’s fault… Why is bad camping, why is bad tunneling when the killer is just doing what he needs to do, KILL. Yes, sometimes I let one escape, but if I need to camp I will and some friend can’t really understand because they do not play killer to have the “experience” of being killer. Also, they most probably are teams that are speaking to each other and you are alone being a Killer. But it’s the killer’s fault. Always. That’s why I follow just few streamers that don’t talk shit about killers.
Don’t worry about this person or any other person that stopped being your friend over a game. I think it wasn’t even a friend Jay, you are worth so much more.

It's a shame people have this tendency to put streamers and content creators on a pedestal and think they can do no wrong, until they go against them and lose then suddenly streamer/content creator is now a bad person and they are what's wrong with the community, It's ridiculous. I gotta say, if someone is going to lose respect for you for how you've played a video game and what side you play, then they need to re-evaluate their prioties. I've gotten into plenty of arguments over games, but I've never lost respect for the person on the other side. That shit can usually be worked out – as it's just a fictional world that people are playing in. From what I saw, and maybe I am wrong, but it didn't even look like you camped and tunneled the whole game – just at the end, which can be a good way to flip the tables and cause pressure. While I know it's not fun to be on the receiving end of camping and tunneling, I think the only time I get frustrated with it is when it starts right at 5 gens. But I also don't think the person making that decision is inherently a bad person, and they'll still have my respect at the end of the day. I just move on to my next match – which I think more people need to do. TBH, I get more frustrated with survivors in solo queue than I do with killer. lol

This is pretty aggravating to see. The intent for them was to come in, do gens fast, have some pocket healings at the ready, and make their escape. INTENT. You flipped the script, made an aggressive play, and it ended up working out. The double standard is too real here. "But I only got 6k." Like, really? You're not gonna pop off and get a ton of blood points every match, and I get that they said they got a lot of campers and tunnelers, but with the add ons and things they bring, a killer has to switch up their playstyle sometimes to make up for those free health states and speedy gens. It's never, let's look at both sides, it's always, let's look at MY side. Smh. Sorry that this is a thing for you Jay.

I got face camped by a Huntress a few nights ago and it was fucking HILARIOUS! She was staring at me, turning around in circles, walking a few steps away and coming right back to repeat the same thing a few times. I got a little sad that she ran off as I was being taken by the Entity, I wanted HER to stay with me until the moment my hook broke.
Stuff like this is why I stopped playing and have almost stopped watching any dbd
