Just so you know, these skins and the ad itself may be creepy, but they kind of do a disservice to Junji Itos work. Its way creepier in the source material. I am absolutely loving the respect Ito is finally getting though. Crossovers, adaptations etc. None of it is better than the source, but its good to see him getting more fans and recognition.

But as I began to look back and dive into the Silent series, I realized how philosophical and macabre the horror genre can be… Then I discovered Junji Ito's work and was tempted to seeing it… I only saw a few images before I closed the book on that, but seeing these makes me wonder… Was it a bad call?
These look good and even though they are his designs, something feels lost in translation, some visceral feeling that only exists on the page, by making them more realistic it makes it feel like some impressive hollywood monster effect, instead of getting pulled into this reality where the very fabric of reality is twisting itself into new horrifying forms.
Man his stories are fking pure horror , on a whole nother level 😂
