New Skull Merchant Is Still A Monster! – Dead by Daylight

New Skull Merchant is on live servers and feels even better than she did in the PTB. While still receiving a lot of hate from most I personally still find her an absolute Monster!
Sit back and enjoy some Survivor massacre! Hope the dbd, dbd mobile Dead by daylight mobile, and dead by daylight crossplay communities all love the survivor gameplay and Rank 1 Skull Merchant Gameplay!

  1. I've played new Skull Merchant quite a lot and she's quite fun to play after the rework, on a strength level of how good she is, she's a bit like Knight but weaker and more steps so she's in my opinion more on the weaker side of killers but she's alright, i'd say high C tier

  2. Honestly I think a lot of people still don't understand just how deadly her drones are now. Before you could kinda ignore them in chase outside of Skully using that one slow down add on, but now? She can essentially create minefields that survivors are either forced to go around or get injured and deep wounded. Basement in particular is very difficult to get out of now when facing a Skully. And to top it off now that the hinder is built into the drones means that getting scanned will not only hurt you but provide Skull a speed boost whilst making you slower at the same time. She's very strong in chase now and honestly I prefer that over gen defender.

  3. Hey Red, I was a huge fan of your Eruption/Never Sleep/Frank's Mixtape build, so I think this would be a cool new way to do it

    Eruption
    Merciless Storm
    Ultimate Weapon
    Rapid Brutality

  4. Great vid! I’m hoping you’d like to try an uncommon build- the Oppression Surveillance combo. Throw some gen kicking perks in there like pop and overcharge, and you have an incredible slowdown build with tons of information. It’s stupid powerful on Oni. There’s also an add on for Freddy that might stack with the secondary effect of Surveillance, but I’m not sure. If it does, you can hear survivors on gens from extremely far away.

  5. I dunno. I saw an awful lot of ballsy altruistic plays there; it seemed more like you were taking advantage of your exceptional chase fundamentals and punishing excessive altruism than using Skull Merchant's powers. There's a rather long period in the first game where you chased survivors through an area bereft of drones (and getting some phenomenal value out of StBfL and Dissolution).

I will have to give her a try myself, but I'm not all that confident. Plus, I hate having to run Corrupt Intervention on M1 chasers, even if it does a lot to prevent losing generators to the rush-meta the game has fallen back into. (though I will gladly take that over having to eat 15+ hard second-chance perks every game like back in 2019/2020)

  6. Seen someone else do it but you should do a camping tombstone Myers. 99 tombstone piece or get infinite then camp Hook. They either die on hook, get themselves off and jump right into your mori or someone comes to save and gets mori it's amazing lol

  7. Holy crap…paste.
So either the survivors just can't get along with the new skull dealer yet, or she is the absolute hunting killer in the game (on open maps/no indoor maps anymore she's as good as it gets).
Even I had to read through her new power 10 times and play with bots twice and still didn't really understand how it works. But then in the first round you get 4 kills. And the following laps weren't bad either.
What's absolutely nonsense about it is that when you see the rays you can now change the rotation of the rays manually. In 99% of cases it doesn't do anything. It would be better/more sensible if you could put the drones back into stealth mode (with a cooldown).
Otherwise, due to the time limit in which you can set the drones, you'll notice pretty quickly that it's incredibly restrictive!

  8. Can you try my dredge build? I call it Nowhere at Nightfall Dredge.
    Perks-
    Lethal pursuer
    Nowhere to hide
    Barbecue and chili/sloppy
    Pop goes the weasel
    Add ons
    Sacrificial knife
    Field recorder
It’s a super aggressive hit and run build that lets you go from chase to chase quickly and build up nightfall fast. I really enjoy it, I’d be curious to see how much fun you have with it.
