👾 OPEN ME 👾

Hey guys, EarthToLydia here with a video on a controversial topic in the Dead by Daylight community. Today, we’re diving into one license I’m glad will never come to DBD: Jeepers Creepers.

Given the sensitive nature of the controversies I’ll be discussing it’s understandable why the Dead by Daylight developers would want to steer clear of this franchise.

Fortunately, the horror genre is rich with other iconic villains and franchises that could potentially join the Entity’s realm without the baggage of real-world controversy.

Remember to like, comment, and subscribe for more Dead by Daylight content and discussions like this. Let me know in the comments which horror franchises you’d like to see in DBD instead!

Hope you’re having an amazing day! 🙂

  1. jeepers creepers is awesome. such a classic. BTW, im sure you will oppose Silence of the Lambs, Pan's Labrynth, Twin Peaks, and many other properties ever being added right? Because the directors of those films all signed a petition in support of roman polanski who did the same thing.

  2. I understand both sides of this debate/issue. I understand why people say we should separate the art from the creator and I understand those that say we shouldn’t have anything that is connected to the creator even if it is their work of art. I understand both sides.

  3. If there’s ever scenario where the rights go to someone else who has a clean slate and has no relation to victor and he can’t profit in any way then I say give that a chance but as it is now definitely not

  4. I’m pretty sad this collaboration will probably won’t ever happen. Me and my mother have nostalgia watching this film many years ago. I didn’t know about the controversy for a very long time. I don’t have the heart to tell my mother about the horrors about what the screen writer did when she excitedly wants to watch the Jeepers Creepers films. I’ve accepted we won’t see Jeepers Creepers in DBD and I completely understand why.

  5. Deathslinger is "We have Jeeper's Creepers at home", and… I'm kinda okay with that.

If Victor Salva dies or ever sells the license to someone else or they work out a deal so that he doesn't see penny, I'd be fine with it. But… till then, it's best the Creeper fucks off

  6. That’s absolutely disgusting. This really shows how effed up the power systems were and still are. There are many problematic ppl throughout controversy and online. But this is where we draw line. If there’s all the evidence against convictions on thede kinda ppl, there’s no excuse. Hands down cancel and not supportin em

  7. Jeeper’s Creepers is by far one of the more popular horror movies of the 2000’s with a popular villain and a great story. The character would fit in greatly into the game of DBD along with the other licensed characters similar to his calibre.

It is very horrible for what the director did and it’s inexcusable, but that doesn’t mean we should throw his creation under the bus and label it as unworthy of being collaborative potential because of something the director did (and repented for) before the movie was conceptualised.

  8. He has such a potential for skins and cool power, it's a shame such good creation came out of a weirdos head. People who went to jail for what he did shouldn't be allowed to release movies and such in my opinion, like – you are messed up, don't contribute to the society, stay away and don't bother people with your existence and your past.

  9. I think a collab with Persona 5 or something along those lines with characters i love that i’m expected to put on a meathook would kinda ruin the game for me, because i wouldn’t be able to do it

  10. I loved the first 2 movies but then I found out all these stuff and have walked away from the franchise entirely. I did pirate the third movie out of curiosity and it was so low budget and bad quality.

  11. I fell in love with the creepers franchise when I was just seven years old, completely terrified and frightened. I binge watched both part one and ESPECIALLY part two for years and had dreams about the creeper for years as well, knowing what I know now I can no longer support this franchise 😢

  12. Victor Salva is a bastardman. They say "Separate the art from the artist" but when you hear what he did on the set of Clownhouse? And how he wrote Powder as an allegory towards how he was treated in Prison?

Screw him, and screw the Creeper

  13. And of course the consumers, fans and players are the ones to pay the price. I would love to have Jeepers Creepers in the game but because of people like you we are not going to get it. Dracula is based on Vlad the impaler, someone who did worse things but that is okey just because it happened centuries ago. You make me sick. Jeepers Creepers forever.

  14. I think they could make an original killer that functions similarly. A humanoid monster that consumes flesh after [insert years] isn’t particularly unique. A DBD spin on a traditional ghoul character would be cool.
