i love these types of videos so much! I feel like we are just having a conversation face to face and i love that u always give room for others opinions ❤️ u rapid !
I feel like if your a twitch affiliate, you should be able to apply for the twitch shirts at Behavior’s website or something. Right now the twitch shirts feel like some secret club thing and not something most streamers can get.
Mixed perk builds? cRInGe!
Harassing anyone isn't going to get anything across. When Dowsey got his shirts removed, I was upset to be sure for how childish BHVR was behaving. I don't even watch Dowsey, it's just sad to see the devs acting like that. I instead stopped playing, and won't be spending on the game anymore. I won't support a game company that acts like children not to mention acts like they don't play their game. Balancing a game off numbers alone doesnt make for a fun game.
give this man a twitch shirt!
Lmao damn.. suck of behavior and Patric harder why don't you 😅
I swear the devs will run DBD into the ground and then will do Pikachu face and blame everyone/everything else
HA if I can’t have a twitch shirt. Nobody can.😏
That moment when you realize you gave the infinity glove to the Riddler. All jokes, no consistency 🤣
Just be like Paulie and ignore everything wrong with the game and pretend it’s okay

Biggest issue with BHVR is they appear to take criticism very personally. They look at it as an attack instead of learning from it and applying the feedback in a concise manner. I think it shows in how slow they are to admit defeat on certain issues when it take a them so long to fix or tweak long time complaints be it bugs or balance problems. Look at stretch res, there is no excuse for how long it took to implement that change.
When it comes down to it I believe BHVR has a few things they need to do to win back the community.
1. Stop taking things so personally. We criticize because we love this game not because we hate you.
2. Be more open and transparent about the game in general. They have improved on this slightly but they need to stop being afraid of negative feedback, it's very clear and obvious that they are. Give us clear roadmaps, stop talking about changes that you MIGHT implement down the road in dev updates. I want to know what you are actually going to add or fix not what you are 'considering' adding or fixing.
3. Expediency in general on fixing things. The boil over fix was relatively quick. More of that please. No more making us wait YEARS to see change in this game.
4. Almost forgot. Either completely overhaul or remove MMR. It does not work and it is driving people away from this game.
Honestly. It's deserved on dowsey. So many other streamers who were fog whisperers do criticize the game but in a professional and respectable way.
RapidMain: "I enjoy Dead by Daylight* asterisk"
*: As much as I can
lmao
I dislike how people go and bandy the word "Harassment" as a catchall phrase for "Things I don't like to hear"
Even if it's their own words just thrown back at them
I personally think Patrick is right and see nothing wrong with what he said. The game is fine the way it is and they are doing a great job.
What people dont realise is that theres peoplemabove Patrick, theres things Patrick isnt aloud to say. Hes been given a set of information and Patrick is just passing it on. Okay they're not really helping them selves by the mmr comments and stuff
Do you have to buy the shirts or are they free?
obv harassment is not the way to go but the devs seem to conflate poking fun/ criticism as harassment and it makes them seem like douche bags. Ya, they can make the game however they want but if they were smart about it, they would listen to the people that actually play the game all the time and the ones that are buying the game/cosmetics, etc…..i feel like the devs don't actually play the game, they just look at the stats and numbers, which doesnt tell even a fraction of the whole story
Someone remove this man's clothes
The devs have already proven they don't like criticism. Dowsey is proof of that. I'm like you, love the game, I enjoy what they do for it BUT criticism is not their strong suit, especially when a well known streamer criticizes things. I hope one day you do get your Twitch cosmetics and actually get to keep them. Poor Dowsey got the short end of the stick for whatever reason.
Being critical is important for growth. Especially if it's coming from the streamers/content creators that help spread news/hype/etc. It's kinda dumb that someone could be removed from being a Fog Whisperer simply for not being 110% on board with every single thing DBD.
*WARNING! Long comment. I am a bit passionate about the game and this talks a bit about the game/devs.. and us players.. So TLDR. Not happy with BHVR.. Though that short description does not do this comment justice.. *
Well.. I had twitch shirts ( Oddly. I do not have a lot of streams.. and now most of mine is old stuff ( well the stuff that got saved anyway ) .. They where taken away from me way before Dowsey got theirs taken away from.. So I was kinda surprised they have not done that to others at all. Till Drowsey lost his. So I knew why it happened. Most of the things I have said was on the Steam forums.. I have also had some REALLY bad encounters with one of their friends/mods on the steam forums.. Before the "Official Forums".. and Said person got kicked off of steams/mod/admin list because they where found to be abusing their mod/admin powers on steam.. Something that is a big no no.. and Yes they had aimed that abuse at me.. As well as others.. But I was basically that final straw.
They ended up bringing back said person on the official forums within the first week of it existing.. I was on there for a short time.. The first week.. I am not there anymore.. Think you can guess why.. I was both critical as well as someone that actually cheered them on when they made good choices. When I would say something critical I would always offer a way for them to fix things or make things better. I never harassed them. I do not do that kind of thing. Now I did call them out on their spaghetti code… So did other people who are into coding.. One of them got pissy and showed everyone examples of spaghetti code but refused to show the actual code of the game.. Because they knew it was spaghetti code.. But wanted to lie about it and go after those who was not kissing their butts.
The funny thing is I even offered to do some code for them for free just to fix their mess at times.. Of course deaf ears on that.. I have worked on AI, as well as other things far more advanced than what they have… So its not like I am some chump on that. I also know of a few others that talked about their spaghetti code.. They claimed they would have helped for free too but I am not 100% sure on that part.. But I do know they where also good at coding. ( More so since I worked with a few of them in the past. )
DBD is a game I have loved.. But the devs on the other hand.. I have often felt that the game might be in better hands with some other dev team… That or the dev team needs to step things up.. Admit their mistakes, actually learn from them as well instead of attacking other people and claiming they did everything right and they are better than they really are.. They have developed massive egos after this game achieved higher success than they expected. Success they owe a LOT of people for.. The streamers, and other people like me who talked to a LOT of people, got them into it, and asked them to spread that word.. I know the majority of them did.. I know other people did this too when DBD was in beta, as well as on its release.. I felt, and others felt, that this game is both a goldmine for BHVR.. and that it had insane potential.. Potential that they are now running into the ground..
I would much rather see this game get more players, not loss after loss every month like its getting right now.. Its actually really upsetting for me. As I said I really like this game and want it to do well.. But even I am not playing the game very much.. Its problems are getting worse due to terrible choices by the devs.. and its frustrating… Because.. As said.. I do like the game and want to see it do well, and continue to do well..
Behaviour kinda sucks , let’s not sugarcoat anything here. They don’t listen to the community and wonder why #’s are going down.
Can you make a discussion video of the current DBD environment, such as meta perks (killer and survivor) and killer variety at your mmr.
Dogwater
All fog whispers are kiss asses.
Dogpiling on Patrick is just shooting the messenger. And tbh that this point, Doesn't has made how many videos about Patrick? It's borderline harassment. His harping on it has ruined his content for me. He hasn't stopped talking about it for months now.
Not to imply that all fog whisperers kiss BHVR's ass but Dowsey did say that he talked to several members of the program about criticizing BHVR and the response from a lot of them was that they are too afraid to say anything negative about the game because they're afraid of losing that fog whisperer status. To label those creators as ass kissers is cruel and a bit ignorant but this does say a lot about BHVR, if their trusted community members are too afraid to say anything I think it's fair to assume that there is a very bad company managing this game.
It really sucks that behavior cant handle some criticism we all want the game to get better but if they want to kill there game so be it.
What is funny to me is when the devs say "We are tired of hearing players asking and complaining about x" when they're trying to justify shit they say/don't do. Like… Mate, if there's TONS of players complaining about the SAME thing, then isn't that a sign that said thing should be looked at? lol
Them complaining about players complaining just shows how they're a bunch of children. I'm not saying there isn't whiny little shits that like to complain about everything because they suck at the game or are living sad lives, but when there's so much players criticizing constructively, even veteran chill streamers saying the same thing… Honestly, it baffles me how DbD lasted this long.
I quit long time ago because at the end of the day, they were giving solid advice: if you don't like the game, don't play it. I think it's hilarious for them to be saying it though, weren't they supposed to make people want to buy their product? Lmao
Is it possible for him to join the program again
Why does no one talk about how on Mcleens Twitter he shits all over nfts? Its obviously the reason he left the company which really says everything. They opted to lose one of the actual creators of DBD and one hell of an intelligent developer in favor of nfts. Really sums up bhvr leadership 🤔
BHVR just needs to get some heat for all their fuck ups. As long as they don't get any actual consequences they'll just continue slowly killing the game until it dies.
Why are you dedicating 4 of your 8 minutes in this video to condemning criticism and harrassment… if you're going to equate negative YouTube comments and Reddit posts to harassment then you have an issue… the behavior devs have never given a damn what the audience wants… no one has been sending death threats to them… No one's been threatening their families or their livelihoods…a few negative comments doesn't equate to harassment…
This take is so dev-sided and wishy washy that you'd think you actually did have some Twitch shirts.
Def feels like a big baby move to take a creators skin away for thinking your bad take is a bad take and voicing it, just shows that the devs are out of touch with their game and fan base … to me at least.
I had a huge bug happen to me on stream a while back. I was playing on RCPD with Demogorgon carrying my last survivor to a hook. I was in the main lobby, noticed that there weren't any hooks near me and that the survivor was going to wiggle out of my grasp soon. I heard and saw the hatch nearby, put the survivor down, and closed the hatch. I picked back up the survivor and stood waiting for the last chase because I knew I couldn't make any of the hooks. So waited for a bit and they still didn't wiggle out. I thought at the time maybe my timing was off. So waited longer for them to wiggle out and still wouldn't wiggle out from my grasp. At this point, I was thinking something was wrong they should've gotten out of my grasp. So (I think this is what happened it's been a minute since it happened) put them down picked them up again to see if that would fix the issue and it didn't. So instead of keeping the survivor hostage and no other solution, I went hooked the survivor to end the game. I was so confused about what happened and was in awe at the moment. The last survivor sent me hate mail saying I was cheating and I don't blame them for that because it looks like I was. I was honestly just confused as they were on what happened. I don't cheat and think I would be bored out of my mind if I do because the fun of the game is the challenge itself. I also play on the console which makes that harder, don't have money to buy these cheats, don't where to go to get them, or have the knowledge to set it up. I'm just generally confused about what happened. Sorry for venting in the comment section just been bothering me the last few days.
I agree that the game needs to be optimised better before BHVR adds anything new. Bugs, performance issues and MMR are few of many that need to be adjusted in a way where everyone is happy. They need to crack down properly on hackers and listen to the voice of the community raising important issues and discussions. I love Dead By Daylight and I understand maintaining a game as well as the audience is far from easy but how BHVR approach some of their situations doesn't bode well for the community like the current MMR system, its simple programming of escape/4 kills is a win, death/no kills is a loss does not work as efficiently with it catering to newcomers while veterans are negatively affected. I think they should bring the old system back or readjust it so it would appeal to new and old players alike.
I do love the game myself, I just had to stop playing because it literally brought out the worst in me. Majority of the community that plays it are unsportsmanlike, take it way too seriously and are generally toxic. If I kept survivors for working on a single gen the whole game, chase them around, don't throw someone on a hook a consecutive time without putting someone else on a hook, I get trash talked for it. If I farm with survivors because I'm feeling nice or just don't feel like really taking it any amount of serious, I get trash talked. I got a 4k with Legion with no perks on, no add ons or offering, and I remember that game because someone told me to "do the world a favor and kill yourself." The general community behind the game is so incredibly toxic and I have no idea why. It can't be because the game is competitive, because I've played all of the Battlefield titles, Rainbow 6 Siege, even Friday the 13th and that game is comparable to DbD in some ways, but I never had any sort of messages or anything from anyone. It doesn't surprise me that the devs are just as toxic, taking things away from people because they don't support criticism and consider it bullying, but they don't even play their own game which is painfully obvious by how many updates they had pushed through that nerfed so many killers while survivors were totally unaffected. Rapid, I love you and I'm glad you enjoy the game, just as I did, but something has to change about the community and the dev team. The game won't die after a few months, but it will die at the rate it's going, and if the dev team is just going to try and censor people about the flaws rather than fix them, maybe it needs to. I definitely loved the game, but the toxicity of the community is what turned me off of it. Sorry for the long comment, but it's something that needs to be said.
I just wish this game had better optimization on console. Frames drop constantly and make or break chases for killer and survivor matches for me. SBMM I couldn't give a shit about because if the survivor side wants to just do skill check simulator and not actually want to interact with the killer then next game please.
This screams insecurity on the devs part. How immature and pathetic do they have to be? "Nuuu you pointed out the flaws in our design. We're going to punish you for not sucking us off. How dare you make jokes about one of us? You can bully anyone but us. Now we're going to throw a tantrum". Honestly, the dbd devs just keep finding new ways to humiliate themselves.
I got some reason have a twitch shirt for Jane idk how tho?
Youtube asked me to rate this video so I gave it 5 stars and ticked the box that said “life-changing” <3
Maybe if people compared this game to hockey more often they would be able to keep their shirts.
The # of "I agree with being mean is bad but devs bad" is insane. Not gonna quote any comments and point fingers but a lot of you aren't actually suggesting anything and just saying that the devs are bad, don't understand the game, (some people are actually just full on name-calling which is ridiculous).
Dev's definitely understand the game better than most of the community. I'm sorry, but that's fact. They make the fucking thing. The issue is a lack of PR in the company (probably because a lot of the people that get clowned on aren't PR folks but rather developers). Behavior needs to work on communicating effectively with the community but when the community is THIS fucked up I can see why they struggle with it. It's gotta be really hard for them to scroll through countless posts calling them inept, lazy, childish, and overall shit at their jobs just to find the one kernel of effectively given critique. That stuff is draining, maybe they screwed up with how they reacted to Dowsey but maybe that's because it was a straw that broke the camels back. You can't punish all the people shitting on you so you pick out the one that is most prominent/vocal.
Remember that Behavior are people. A lot of you are devil's advocating for those that are being awful to the team but none of you seem to understand that these devs deserve the same amount (if not more) understanding.
