  1. 5:15 DC penalties shouldn't affect the other side. I played Killer and the entire enemy team disconnected within the first 30 seconds of the match and I lost a pip because of that.

  2. I agree with the RPD one to a certain extent. In terms of accuracy, it was the best map in the game, because you can play either DBD or Resi 2 and know the layout from either which was awesome. But for me, the map felt really hollow. I liked the added pallets in corridors, but the splitting of the map into two is what I don't like.

  3. "It's not my job to make the game fun for you." Likewise, they're not obligated to your time and will instead go look for fun

Had a Billy refuse to hook and opted to repeatedly slug. If he were bad, I'd equate it to chainsaw practice, but he was good, and that's why I left; didn't want to feed into it and spare peace of mind. We just weren't on the same page on what we each considered "fun" at that moment

  4. The problem with “gen rushing” is that the game has gotten to a state where it could go 50/50. Survivors could meme and run head-on flash bang and just mess around with the killer while in a diff match survivors could run Deja vu, prove, and built to last with a green toolbox, charge ad-ons and adrenaline. The problem with that is that you’re no longer going against survivors, you’re going against perks, items, and ad-ons. But then again the killer could do the exact same thing and run all regression perks and make the game extremely long and/or challenging.

Basically if you’re trying to meme and have fun or try a build that’s not strong enough to combat survivor perks and items then expect to lose a handful of games unless you’re just a god at micromanaging.

  5. Idk if this is a hot take but the same way you feel about skull merchant dc twins is just as bad an unhealthy for the game as a whole no one wants to be slugged for 4 mins to bleed out

  6. What i find funny is that i love watching Scott's DbD videos despite:
1)Ive never played this game before
2)I HATE overly competitive games that rely on "tricks" (Halo 2 BXRs for example) and other bordelrine exploits to be considered good at the game, and the environment that breeds… Case in point, the DbD fanbase seems extremely awful to be a part of. And it sucks that if you want to play the game more casually and you come across try hards, if you complain, then you're just told git gud. Seems like an awful community to try and talk with.

And yet i still enjoy hearing him talk about these things.

  7. omfg. The T-bagging malfunctioning thing. OK HEAR ME OUT. My long nail girlies KNOW! Sometimes, while you accidently panic to make a split second decision play, my nails just slip off the keys and I will panic to get them back on and hit the crouch key multiple times! I always have to apologize after! TTwTT

  8. Before i state this, i haven't played against the two new killers, but I think Sadako is the most fun killer to play against. I think playing against her is more enjoyable than any other killer in the game, i can't complain when i face her.

  9. the issue with the dc penalty being removed is yes it helps in those situations where someone is going against a bullshit boring killer / build / playstyle, but it's going to help more in those situations where someone loads into a match, hears the pinhead sound, dc. loads into a match, sees a pig box, dc. it'll just let people dc over and over again against killers they don't like. the only way of fixing this overall would make it so that the first like 3 dc's are penalty-free but any subsequent start having the 5-10-15+ minute timers. that way if you only dc once in awhile, you're not penalized but if you're a serial dcer (or just have bad internet) you still get penalized as you should

  10. When it comes to dc’s, I always wonder what the ratio is between legit disconnects and people doing it because they’re upset or want out of that specific match. I’ve legit dc’ed at moments that I know the other players probably thought it was a rage quit. (Right as I get downed or hooked or for killer I had a match where I was clearly out played and the game disconnects).

I feel like it’s automatic to assume that people are rage quitting when a portion of them aren’t.

  11. Here's my hot take, Singularity feels decently challenging but fun to play against while playing Singularity feels boring sometimes.

Also, unrelated, but it's way too fucking easy to de-pip in this game considering how hard it is to do ANYTHING when the killer is in total control of the game or the other way around. The grading system & how fucking strict it is, is what single-handedly makes me get so damn pissed at this game. I keep getting pips after like 5 survivor matches then I LOSE THEM ALL THAT I EARNED BACK TO BACK BECAUSE SOME BULLSHIT I CAN'T CONTROL

  12. Dcing makes it worse for your teammates and if your willing to just dc cause you dont like the match why are you even playing a multiplayer game. Its like saying i dont like this game of ow2 or csgo and quitting the ranked game to do something else.

  13. This will get buried but I just want to say my friend has 100+ hours and has never touched killer. She's epilepsy and can't risk being flashlighted. I have some friends that are similar to this but it's more 80% survivor 20% killer

  14. How does bloodlust "reward" bad players? Id think catching the survivor before getting bloodlust would always be superior to getting bloodlust.

I might be missing some nuance but it seems it just dampens the punishment for playing like a dumb.

  15. You guys are way too annoyed by Skull Merchant. She can DO other things, but no one bothers to try because they always expect a three gen. Skull Merchant has EXTREMELY fun chase potential, you just get boring skull merchant players.

  16. I agree that not everyone just plays one role, however there are more survivor players overall and the player base does scew towards that role obviously otherwise the games matchmaking wouldn’t really work, additionally the fact that bloodpoint incentives are more often on the killer side shows that there’s more survivor players. I think it’s disingenuous to say that everyone plays both sides equally because I have encountered many people who just main survivor and aren’t really interested in killer.

Also, to your point about saying someone “just mains X” argument not being a valid argument I think that’s just bs. There are situations when someone makes a statement from complete and utter ignorance and it’s important to recognise that some people just have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about, you don’t have to make them feel bad about it but their lack of experience is not my problem. I remember someone actually complaining that leverage was going to be a meta perk and how boring it will be for the game slowing down healing. For someone to think that stacking 5% slower healing for 30 seconds after a hook was going to be meta. It was quite obviously a survivor main but also someone that has literally no idea about the balance of the game. So sometimes the people who are saying “you just play X” are actually saying “play both sides and you might learn something”. And in that sense it’s a completely valid argument.

  17. Here's my take (The DBD Execs would be the ones mori'ing me for this). The fact that there isnt a tutorial section for each killer where you can also test them out before you buy them is inherently negative for the player and their experience. You're literaly forced to buy the killer or the DLC if you want to try them and even then if you dont like them you cant get a refund. If youre running against a killer you havent played before, youve already lost half the battle because you dont have a full understanding of how they work. I personally struggled to play against onryo before because i hadnt played her and didnt know all the specifics of her power and how it worked, even after researching. (but hey they dont want this because they want people to spend money on DLC.)

  18. there's only one hot take i've always had and i will take it to the grave with me idc what people say, nothing will make me disagree with this. trickster is an f tier killer, he is a jack of all trades killer that can do what a lot of other killers can do but he's so inconsistent that you're better off playing any other killer that can do what he does, like his power allows him to be ranged but he has horrible accuracy so you're better off playing huntress for a ranged killer and even for the range he's ideal for, just play a killer like demogorgon or wesker who can dash to an enemy at that range. he has antiloop but only on loops he can throw his knives over so you're better off playing someone like doctor who also has anti loop but has a more consistent form of anti loop plus has built in slowdown, not to mention his downsides of being a 4.4 killer, main event being an unreliable and horrible power that he needs to charge up, has a limited time to use and straight up disables him from using his power after using main event and having zero pressure and no map control, it is more than fair to place him alongside killers like freddy, clown and pig because even though he can shred through survivors, they have to be 1. within 10 meters of u 2. in the open 3. don't know how to dodge tricksters knives (ik you can still hit survivors even when they try to dodge but at a medium to large distance from you it can get a bit difficult) and 4. pray that you have enough knives and the accuracy to even hit them because his stupid recoil choosing a differernt direction every time to throw them makes trying to adjust for recoil like gambling, also make sure you haven't held your knives up or used enough for the survivor to gain distance because you become even slower while holding them AND EVEN SLOWER when you've thrown some… anyways that's my rant about trickster, i'm going to be honest though, I like trickster as a killer from a design perspective, like do i think he's scary, of course not but i don't find artist, skull merchant, legion and many more killers scary either, the key difference between him and every other killer is his flaire, like i've played with a ton of new players and the killer they usually want to try first that isn't licensed is trickster because he and his power look fun and cool, it sucks that his power in game doesn't reflect that and personally what sucks more is that the all kill chapter didn't come with a map because ngl it would've been awesome to run through the backstreets of Seoul and through the factory trickster's kpop group burnt down in, it would've been an awesome map to play on.
