It's absolutely what you said. People take this game so personal and shame for any reason what so ever lol. Like, getting mad and shaming someone for playing a character in the game is wild. You didn't make the character.
I mean, I understand getting very frustrated if you get tunneled out of the game several times in a row but at that point you should probably call it a day and play something more chill. people seem to forget that DBD is a pvp game and that naturally comes with excessive salt.

I think some people forget that there's aspects of this game that we the players didn't design. We're just using what the devs give us.
I don't understand how they think you're a POS for playing a killer that was reworked from the problematic killer she used to be. All they needed to do was gens. They played poorly. Plus the Nancy giving up (for whatever reason) put the nail in the coffin for them

honestly, whenever I face against the skull merchant I just try to do what I can, majority of the skull merchant that I faced were either camping 3 gens or survivors on hooked(or both) I understand its their way of playing so I just try to get the most points I can
I mean you kinda did tunnel and worst of all play skull merchant but i guess they all should have dced the second they knew they were facing a skull merchant
Skull merchant is the most hated killer in the game it was actually a vote online to vote for the most annoying killer and skull merchant won. Her power is to camp gens she’s not a fun killer to play against in my opinion… just played a game with one yesterday that slugged everyone and let them bleed out didn’t hook any of us, another game played against a skull merchant that started camping/tunneling at 5 gens literally could see her standing meters away so I couldn’t jump off hook and the moment I did she was back on me so I do understand why people don’t like her and DC against her had many games the moment we find out it’s a skull merchant automatically DC had a p100 Felix DC instantly when the game started
New skill merchant is awesome. She always gets jump scares on me now 😅

Skull Merchant is literally in the F-tier for me on killers and yet I can’t understand everyone hating on her. I can understand not liking a character, and I can understand wanting/needing reworks/nerfs for problematic killers but everyone is just on some bandwagon at this point. Before the PTB even released people were hating on her design, and, yeah, I get it, but it’s gotten to a ridiculous level. Actually wanting characters removed from the game or hating on people for playing a character or d/c because you refuse to play against them…. there’s just too much entitlement in this player-base from BOTH SIDES. I hate playing against Doctor but I don’t disconnect or hate on people for playing him. I think Myers with certain add-ons is just straight up unfair but I don’t give up or blame people for BHVR not reworking them. I mean, come on.
Even after the rework people just dont like the skull merchant. The problem is that the damage of her reputation has already been done. Will it get better with time? Maybe. But for now, we just gotta deal with it and see where her reputation goes.
