  1. Hear me out:
The previous Haddonfield was one of his strongest maps, and I almost always used that offering. His power sidesteps the entire setup that usually hoses other killers, and the locker placement is marvelous.

Even the double god window loop was actually something the Dredge had the advantage on, charge power, walk around, guaranteed hit, otherwise force them out of the house and into the dead zone outside.

  2. Dredge might as well not have a terror radius at all with the incredibly loud directional sounds he constantly makes telling survivors exactly where he is. There is almost no point in most mindgames bc the survivors will know exactly what direction you're going. Still going to main him through the pain though; he has one of my favorite designs and some of the best skins in the entire game

  3. I still think that Dredge had the potential of being very strong or at least very capable of the devs just fixed a couple things. Specifically locker placements. I had a match as Dredge in Springwood and literally one corner of the map had ZERO lockers. The last 2 survivors escaped solely because that corner had no lockers since exit gate was there.

  4. as a p100 dredge main i agree with everything said in this video. dredge honestly sucks compared to other killers. i think he can be pretty insane on the right maps(especially midwich). but overall there are just so many downsides. i think hes okay during nightfall but thats only 20% of the entire match. Anti loop power is somewhat trash on big open maps. locker spawns on 80% of all maps is just terrible. on high mmr you see like 1 dredge every 3 months or so and i know why

  5. 1. Lockers should take longer to lock for survivors.
    2. Dredge should be silent during nightfall.
    3. Dredge should choose the locker he wants to TP too but has no indication if its locked or not, So its more of a 50/50 if they only locked one locker, or it forces them to lock both, while also wasting more time to do so. Its natural slow down that does not ruin the game.

These 3 small changes would make dredge somewhere in the A tier of killers but no where near hillbilly, nurse, blight or spirit.

But realistically he is fine how he is. Its a game meant to be played for fun. If you only play what is best and what is optimal then you think winning is more fun then the experience overall. That is fine, but if you are forcing yourself to play anything in the game you need to step back from it and work on your mental. its not healthy and its more of an obsessive behavior when you can't put down a game even when you don't like it.

  6. He needs Freddy pallet mechanic but for fake lockers during Nightfall. Just to have new teleport locations. Also give him Legion Frenzy. I should work for BHVR im very good at game balance

  7. Remove his loud directional sounds and fix the locker problems (including placements) and Dredge will be where the devs probably think he should be. But lord knows they're too… Canadian, to ever get around to the locker part.

  8. Well at high MMR every killer sucks but like the top 5 so that's not really a fair compassion or assessment of a killer and a truly balanced game every character would be mid-level.

  9. I loved playing Dredge for a while but he's just so map dependent and frustrating to play that I just gave up on him. I want to love playing him but I just can't, which sucks because he's one of my favorite killers design and power wise (the concept at least). At least I can get a similar thing with Singularity and I get better results.

  10. I agree with you Dredge sucks but I love him. Playing him and facing him. He's just amazing because of screams and darkness vibes. It it resonates with me because of depression and he brings me out of it while "facing him"

I agree with you Scott I use his remnant alot like most decent Dredge players. When I put the remnant down they just leave the loop most of the time.

Good survivors should. But I'm not good because i throw to get grabbed.

I will admit the one thing that pisses me off with Dredge is the time it takes to get out of a locker and also wood value.

    Good analysis Scott😊

  11. I'm so glad people are finally coming around to how bad Dredge is because I knew it from the start. I hold the opinion he's borderline bottom tier. Absurdly map dependent, addon dependent, locking lockers are completely unnecessarily strong counterplay, he's way too loud, his chase power is mediocre, I find myself being more blind my the darkness than it does to the survivors, stupidly long CDs and teleport outside of nightfall, etc. There are so many issues with this killer. Frankly, he's the greatest litmus test for figuring out if someone is new or not: "Is Dredge Strong or Good?" Someone that says "Yes" is new and someone that says "No" is more experienced.

  12. I remember a Dredge game that I had quite some time ago. I was loading into Lerys and thought "ah … an indoor map, thats not half bad and there is basically a locker in every room. Noice!" … yeah, well, ACTSCHUALLY thats not the case. Lerys is basically half a locker desert, its really crazy, but as the Dredge you can't teleport to about 1/3 of the map at all, if you suspect something goning on over there, you have to move in from outside and slog in by foot (or amorphous mass). I was so confused and feld so gimped.

  13. Classic new player not understanding opportunity cost. It's not that Dredge doesn't have some stuff going for him, it's that when you pick Dredge, you're not picking one of these stronger killers that have influenced the balance of the game with their insane set of tools.

  14. Dredge is always a reminder, compared to other instant teleport killers, the rest of the teleports need to be brought in line.

Dredge, Demo, Freddy, all these killers' teleports need buffing, like yesterday. You release killers like Sadako and Unknown, whoms teleports are just leagues better.

I've always thought it was stupid that Demo has a cooldown on his on top of the fact he has to manually set them up, and they're able to be destroyed.

  15. On Hawkins there are at least two places with three lockers next to each other. One of them is at the second floor with singular gen. So basically you can deny Dredge from going there three times in a row.

  16. Cross map mobility, anti loop, stealth, strong mind games, basically has 3 powers.

Scott: "dReDge SuCkS". Nice self report about your skill issue, Scott. Seriously, what's your time played? Have you really put time into learning him? Of course not. You stopped playing him a week after his release and hadn't touched him more than you can count on your fingers ever since.

I'm currently at around 5k hours sitting at a 46 game winstreak using a already watered down version of my beat build with him that only has 1 slowdown in it and I'm still going strong. You clearly have zero clue how to play him. It's evident on what you say about him in argument against him being good such as how he's "so map dependent" um, not really? You're using his power completely wrong if you think that. It's used to get you across the map quickly to pressure gens that would normally be too far to defend and you'd lose. And then you bring up Midwich and it confirms that theory because that's not even my favorite map with him. Azarov's is actually my favorite map with him.

This video is Scott sharing his skill issue with the world.

  17. 1) Bad Locker spawns: He’s still a 115 killer, he can walk across the map like everyone else.
You can still teleport to a locker close to an area that you want to go and walk the rest of the way which is still faster and more efficient than literally every killer without mobility, such as strong killers like Plague and Pyramid head.

    2) Locked lockers: The yellow add on “Haddie’s Calendar” makes coming out of a locked locker take the same amount of time as if it wasn’t locked. Sucks that he NEEDS this add on to be viable but it’s a cheap common add on that offsets that problem.

    3) Nightfall stealth sucks: That’s not the point of nightfall. His power recovery cooldown lowers from 12 to 8 seconds which affects his teleport and remnant. His teleport speed is also increase and you get info on survivors with killer instinct. Nightfall encourages his hit and run playstyle and allows you to snowball when you have a full injured team via slugging. Its main downside is it doesn’t last long enough and takes too long to build without 2 specific add ons, but since you’re locked into 1 add on slot because of calendar, it makes it feel worse than it could be.

    4) His anti loop sucks: The main downside of his anti loop is the reduced move speed while having a remnant placed, but the skill ceiling to the ability is placing it in chokes or between to strong tiles to zone the survivor away from chaining similar to Knight, Skully, Clown or Artist. It’s not just enforcing a 50/50 and getting a hit or not like Spirit (when the survivor is healthy at least). It’s a slow zoning process of getting them to either drop a pallet and waste resources or zoning them into an area where you’re almost guaranteed a down.

It’s probably the worst aspect of his kit but it’s still better than half of the cast that either doesn’t have an anti loop ability or has one that’s easier to avoid than his.

I still don’t think Dredge is a good or strong killer, I just don’t hold the common sentiment of him being C tier levels of strength as those killers are usually only really good at one thing but fail in every other department.
Dredge is a Swiss Army knife/bag of tricks but everything he does is just okay and that’s still better than a lot of his peers.

  18. I have play dredge a lot I really enjoy him so I have done my best to learn everything about the dredge I have played him on a high level in a competitive setting most of my games yes on midwitch but not all of them I have played coal tower and sanctum getting some pretty good results but he is map dependent to a point and his over all power is better than you give it credit for now I am not saying he is A Tier even on some maps i believe he is i am just saying he is a high B

  19. Dredgy-poo definitely has it rough when you get a trash map lockers and survivors aren't scared of nightfall.

When i first started the game i guess it was dredge week or something, because i ran into the dredge very often and got tunneled out several games to the point anytime i loaded in and saw locks i wanted to just DC since i never got to do anything. I wouldn't even leave after being unhooked cause every dredge just came right back and even body blocking didn't stop me being tunneled.

It took playing dredge to really understand how he works since just dealing with him from the survivor end (while also learning the game) is just an awful experience. Now im secretly a dredge enjoyer.

  20. During Nightfall, Dredge should either insta-break locks or break them a lot faster. They should also do something with map RNG where Dredge use causes more lockers to spawn. And they really need to stop that auto-targeting of the locked locker when a pair is present. He's fun and a cool design, I use him a lot, but I agree his map dependency and environmental predictability makes him easy to crush for a decent team even in solo queue.

  21. Id cobsider myself in the high mid tier of mmr, and the nightfall is actually so fucking annoying. Like, can i see where im going, technically yes, but it basically is just dependant on me having the map memorized because its annoyingly dark. I wish there was a slightly snaller than there is now circle in the middle where you can see better than you can now and then the rest of the screen is vasically black
