  1. I hope they add more voice lines in general. I'd love to hear Bill and Freddy get some lines in. I know we won't get Robert for Freddy but if we could get the remake actor to come in for a few iconic lines that'd be sick. Obviously Bill is a bit more complicated, his voice actor sadly passed away some years ago but even if they just ripped his lines straight from Left 4 Dead or use a similar sounding voice actor I'd be more than happy. Valve would totally be OK with it too. They're OK with practically everything.

  2. I really love that IDEA. It is such a nice change and would make every character unique if you make everyone say a quip when they get stunned or blinded. Or getting off a survivor. Like It's my turn when they get off with boil over sounds so satifying like, Ugh that just sounds like a great concept

  3. While I don't mind the current state of survivor voices, I have always wondered what it might be like to have the survivors speak. It's often been really useful in games like overwatch, so it could be a really healthy buff to solo q if done right.

  4. id like it to trigger voicelines when doing actions like finishing a gen or unhooking (maybe not being unhooked because noone is that calm after getting pulled off of a meathook), but also when using the emotes and then maybe even add more emotes. maybe even customizeable, not like dances but taunts for killers too

  5. I for one don't think it's a good idea. The only way this could somewhat work is if the killer would be completely unable to hear any of the voicelines, but even then – this game relies on sound too much, having your character speak at random could drown out too many things that are necessary for your survival. It's a bit different with killers because their voicelines only trigger when there are other sounds that already make it hard to hear other things – like the "boom" of getting stunned, or the locker opening and closing, or a survivor screaming from getting hit. For survivor voicelines to work they'd need to be heard only by survivors and only activate when all survivors can't hear anything important at the same time, which is just unfeasible.

  6. I think they would work but would have to trigger in very few specific scenarios to not alter gameplay.

The idea of them triggering when the killer isn't nearby is pretty bad because it'd give you the sense of safety that a stealth killer can't be close to you. To be honest, I'm not sure if they would be okay in any gameplay scenario, not even things like unhooks because it'd tell a killer lurking around a corner who went for the rescue ahead of time.

  7. This is an outstanding idea and can make the game more fun as survivors, when we can hear them talk and not just screams in agony. But I'm almost certain that the developers won't put the voice lines in the match. Because players will ask for voice lines for old characters not to mention licensed as well, which would require the developers to contact all their voice actors to record some new lines and i don't think they will go for it. But I wish they will do something new with the voices in the future.

  8. Survivors needs somthing to set them apart because lets face it, when a new dlc comes out all we see are a new killer, 6 new perks and a new survivor skin. I don't even buy DLC anymore just use my shards to get the new killer or buy a skin and use whats left to get the new killer.

  9. Voice commands would be a better idea because it would help a lot for solo queue players and you get to control what your survivor says anytime you want instead of having your survivor blurt out voice lines when you don’t want them to.

  10. Voice lines are such a good idea. They help the players feel more drawn to a specific survivor and in general increase the immersion. Besides that they dont really hurt anyone if you implement them correctly. For example survivors wont speak when inside the killers terror radius. also like you showed only in certain situations should survivors talk like unhooking, starting to heal or starting to repairing a gen

  11. There should be a little voiceline wheel, but there should be cooldowns so they can't be really spammed – or spamming them makes noise notifications.
Also, clientside stuff. Like a "Ssshhh!" from your survivor being clientside (killer can't hear it) for more accessibility.
But if a survivor on the other side of a wall says something, killer should hear them talking.

  12. As a British person I know what David's voice lines would be, triggered once every third or so time:
Pallet stun – have that ya c*nt
Hit by the killer – 'ere mate calm down like
Joins gen – gizza go on that ey pal
Unhooks another – awey off there, you
Is unhooked – cheers mate, was getting bored up there
Escapes – someone put the kettle on
Is being healed – just gonna have a cig while I wait
Heals another – I've had bigger cuts on me arse, you'll be fine
Is being mori'd – I've got somewhere else to be anyway pal

Although adding voice lines may devalue the horror aspect but lots of us stopped being scared of the game years ago. Unsure whether or not the killer should be able to hear the survivor voices. Sound is such a major part of the game as it is. Killers with headphones would memorise the voicelines of every character so they always knew what you were doing

  13. if they added a communication wheel with voicelines like identity v does that would be awesome. i don't think it would make it impossible for killers to win if you could say "I'm taking chase!" or "Focus on repairing, I'll save!"

  14. I think emotes would be more fun. But my suggestion survivors could be a little toxic with them which would be fine is some occasions. My suggestion to battle this would be once you start the emote you’re locked in the animation until the emote finishes.

  15. Simply parroting what someone else said, I don't think it should be tied to actions, but apart of a greater whole for a better soloq experience, making it so the survivor can say them at will being like "overhere ugly" in hopes to taunt the killer like going in and out of lockers quickly would

  16. idk but i would love to have more interactions between survs and killers like nemesis mori with stars members; like for example trickster with yunjin and maybe james with pyramid head

  17. i think having quips would make the game feel really cheesy. like a “he said the thing” moment would be constant. it would be cool, especially if certain survivors interacted with each other, but itd have to be done sparringly.

  18. I dislike it. I honestly think that voicelines for survivors would be kind of weird and maybe a nerf. Since sound is very important for the game both for Survivors and Killers. Wesker, Pinhead and Malnourished Kpop's voicelines are triggered only when they interact with survivors aka. Hitting, Downing, Stunned, Hooking and Power-related stuff.

I think that Jill should have her "You want s.t.a.r.s, I'll give you s.t.a.r.s" line when she is faceing nemesis. It would make sense for her to say it when she drops a pallet on nemesis,/ when he kicks a gen with her perk(blast mine )on it/,(if she is close enough to see that) when she does a flashlight save.
It is unlikely but it would be cool to see.

  20. Here's my opinion of this overall : Opinion 1 : Survivors can just hear survivors not killers that would be cool but you gotta think about gameplay what if they are being sneaky and the killer doesn't notice the survivor and they just randomly speak out loud and the killer hears them and injures/downs them that's stupid to have killers hear survivors
Opinion 2 :They should add a bind menu key of what the survivor will say.
Opinion 3 : I don't really think survivors will ever get voicelines outside of lobby because old actors are either dead or retired or they left behavior long time ago ps: I want a voiceline for bill ingame but the voice actor sadly passed away 🙁 im sure if he was still alive bill would've got some badass voicelines.
Overall: Should survivors have voicelines? : Yes but it will be unlikely that we will have voicelines ingame.

  21. Dead by Daylight should add more life to it's characters especially survivors I know it may be a bad example but in games like league of legends, heroes of the storm, team fortress 2 etc. player's characters are talking many times throughout match and that fills them with life and personality to even random things like dwight saying "Wh-Where am I !? I need to get out of here !" at the start of the match would show that he is not super confident and little scared which practicly show his personality or for other example Jake at the start of the match would say "I don't recognize this place, I've been here before ?" (of course that would apply to red forest map because he was spending lots of time in woods away from people) he would be calm when saying it and that would show that he is much more calm rather than Dwight and tries to think straight instead of panicking
If bhvr would do something like this Im sure people would be also more intrested in lore of dbd and it's characters
