  1. Maybe it's too crazy but a Scooby-doo chapter would be dope lol! Alien is obviously the better choice with Xenomorph, or Shining with Jack Nicholson for killer in the hotel realm separate in 2 maps one outside of the hotel and the other for inside… Imagine he break a breakable door and each time he say "HERES JOHNY"
And if they look for another game license ALIEN ISOLATIONS hey it's two chances to have a Xenomorph in the game with the movie or the game, or Outlast, or Evil Within, or Amnesia, or Until Dawn…

  2. I really liked Forged in Fog. The ambiance of the map, the perks, and the backstories of both characters. It was only the disastrous PTB and The Knight’s power that made people really riled up. The art team literally saved Forged in Fog , where in Tools of Torment, even they fumbled badly.

  3. Dbd needs to have a really good anniversary this year, even though I’ve enjoyed Dredge Wesker and Knight, I know a lot of the community have hated Merchant so far and the Knight chapter. We need a big license that is liked by most and relatively bug free. If we don’t get a good anniversary this year, I feel like people will lose hope and DBD

  4. I think the 7th year anniversary will most likely be licensed for a few reasons, first off before the 6th year anniversary we got Sadako and after the 6th year anniversary we got Wesker, i don't think the devs wanted the 6th year anniversary to be original and to me it really feels like it was a licensed chapter that got scrapped and repurposed. lastly not to many people were really super excited for the 6th year due to it being original, like the dredge is cool and all but i don't think he was special enough to be an anniversary chapter. An original spider killer or a non bi pedal creature would fit that bill

  5. if Alien got in, i'd like him to behave more like the one from Alien Isolation than the movies, as he fits more with DBD's "humanoid killer" theme.
Of course, if Springtrap is the one, he has to be very close to the FNAF 3 model, or, they could go the Ghostface route and make their own version of him.

  6. 7 years, man…we're approaching the 7 years mark.
Dead by daylight and Overwatch came out the same year. At that time, if you looked at both of them and someone had told you "one of these, just one, is going to reach 7 years and maybe even more, and it's gonna have its own movie and comic"…would you have said that it was going to be DbD?

  7. I will defend part of BHVR at this point. Both chapters were actually amazing in its elements.

Forged in fog – big ambituous to create a new type of killer completely using AI mechanic. After zombies its only AI in the game and would say well done. Zombies were worse than now, stucked everywhere… But guards work quite consistently. Rarely they doubleback, But that happens once in a game. Designwise this killer is also cool, scary big knight with ghost guards. The problem with this chapter is that his power is cool and fun But not as effective. After last update to him his actually way better. Guards are hunting better and gives you opportunity to actually use his power in chase or for map controll other than instadrop guard in chase. Sure, still viable and boring to play against this antiloop But if he playes in a buffed way he’s quite fun and not so boring to play against. Perks in this chapter are almost all very good. All killers perks are strong and Nowhere To Hide become meta immidiately. That happens only with a scourge hook pain res. Other perks in last two years were denied as bad. Survivor perks except for quick gambit are also strong and fun to use. So overall this chapter is well made, power idea very cool and ambitious. The reason people dont like Knight is that you cant loop him if he is instadropper or if is holding 3 gen. Forged in fog imo is actually very good chapter. That problem was always with Artist where people didnt like her due tu her antiloop But Artist is not played very often though shes like 3rd strongest killer in the game.

    Tools of torment
First problem was teaser. BHVR teased this chapter badly, forcing people to think that this is some type of cyborg killer. But as with Knight they came with something new, the drones. Which already everyone new will be boring because everyone will use them to camp 3 gens and apart from that she didnt have anything else in her basekit. Must say that shes decent now as she got a lot of massive buffs. So idea of power is very cool and design of drones is well made. Okay would say if they instead of the weapon attached to her hand make a robotic hand and some steel element on her body and Red glowing eye people would be way happier. So design of killer is not the best But the reason people hate it is that she was teased to be robot and have big boxes in the game. Survivors are also visually good. What is big no for me in this chapter is the idea and quality of the perks. None one them are very fun, engaging or strong. So killer and survivor perks are very weak and not worth a slot over their stronger versions – Nowhere to hide/game afoot
    Blood pach/teamwork
    Shadowstep/teamwork
    Cut loos/quick and quite
    Background player/Sprint
Killer add ons are very good and well created. Whole specter of possibíities how to modifie drones purpose. Though again main problem is that this killer is heavy 3gen orientated.

The problem is about power-use purpose rather than design because both those chapters are visually very cool, except for merchant mori I dont buy this chapter because perks are bad and I wont be playing them over my mains. In the future with shards maybe.

Aniversary chapter might be cool But we must think that the problem might be lackluster power. So even if the new killer is alien, IT, nun… the power can be boring. I hope they will think about it. New power idea is appreciated rather than 100th killer with no counterplay antiloop or trap orientated killer (sort of merchant as well)

Maybe BHVR might make two chapter a year rather than 4 and focus more on the game, more meta Shake up etc.
