  1. @Scott dead by daylight is in its worst state. Can't even play this game for more than 2-3 matches.
Definitely feels more like the killer side as far as the tilt of balance.
More kill needs to be toned down or changed somehow to be fun to go up against.
In my opinion, the killers that are not fun to go against, especially if there isn't a counter or just as basic as movement or for killer themselves having a weakness about them, like a cooldown or some sort not fun.

For instance, in my opinion, good killer design
    Oni- has his strengths
Not a wonky hit box, Definitely not the worst.
His power One shot if he catches you and if they're skilled enough deadly, a good draw back – has a cool down, not too easy to maneuver .simple
Bad killer design ex: Bubba- wonky hit box
    -power is overpowered.
    Can down multiple survivors, instancely-
No real drawback or cooldown, no real counter. Which is not a got killer design.
Bubba needs a change to his power. Keep instance downing, but just for one survivor a time. I don't think that's bad

  2. So if I'm in the end game collapse, and I down a survivor at the gate and there's still 2 other alive survivors running around, I now have to hook the survivor at probably the closest hook to the exit gate.

So now when I hook that survivor I'm going to be forced to leave the hook chase another survivor around fruitlessly because if I hit that survivor they are just going to use the speed boost to run out the gate while their friend is unhooking the other survivor correct?

Can someone please explain to me why this is a good thing and what we are supposed to do in situations like this? This was one of the rare situations that camping was kind of necessary.

  3. fun on survivor is the killer doing mindgames and you trying to outplay them. leaving the loop and holding W for their power is such a bad design. Let's take wesker for example, with him, you have to be aware of his power when going around loops and play him differently than how you would go against any other killer. That is a good power for both sides. Killers like Knight should just be reworked or never even released in the first place, there are some things you can do with him which are absolutely disgusting, especially for solo queue. He can camp a hex with his power and pressure other things while protecting his devour or whatever hex it is. There is simply nothing you can do about it, knight will hear the guy scream and aggro, then just go to the hex to make sure 2 people aren't trying to get it.

  4. No, I'm sorry, I don't buy it at all. It's perfectly obvious to me what the new Skull Merchant is going to boil down to. You place a drone at a loop, the survivor predrops and holds W. You get NOTHING out of it. The amount of people praising this change to high heaven is grating. It doesn't matter two shits whether Skully can switch the beam's direction if the survivors just vamoose. No matter how many coats of paint you put on this turd of a rework, it's obviously a fangless Clown pastiche. The gameplay is just place the slowdown object at a loop. Only this time unlike Clown you can't ALSO make leaving the loop slower. It's just New Freddy all over again.

The entire purpose of the drones was surveillance. The chapter's main fear being played off of here was the fear of constant surveillance. It was this omnipresent tracking that made Chase Merchant work because unlike Clown you could let your power do the tracking your perks normally would, freeing up your build for 4 chase perks and providing an addon that would give a boost to those perks. Well not anymore! The Skull Merchant has as much map awareness as a blind squirrel with dementia now. I refuse to believe you couldn't just fix the core of her power. Simply make it so drones no longer Expose and make it so that if you have x drones available to deploy only x-1 of them can be on gens. That means a survivor can Claw Trap themselves to break the hold, but leaves them vulnerable in so doing. Then you just pivot the addons to more aggressive and fun gimmicks and presto! The killer retains her signature tracking, the 3-gen strat is untenable, and she has now been blessed with a whole slew of fun new chasing toys.

The only killers I've really enjoyed after Dredge were, paradoxically, Knight, Skully, and Singularity. Wesker and Xenomorph felt hollow and generic, midrange zoning clones merely copying Demogorgon's beats in an attempt to be popular. Those three felt different, unique. Were they perfect? No. But the cores of their powers were interesting and they felt like their own characters. Well now one of those killers has been neutered into a discount Clown alongside Freddy. And they've been talking a Twins rework. I honestly dread that. Do you wanna bet money on them NOT turning Victor into a projectile that just bursts from Charlotte and comes back to her? A midrange zoner like the rest of them!? If they violate my babies like that, it's over, I'm done. I refuse to reward mediocrity and creative bankruptcy. The next chapter had better be good. If we get an interesting power that isn't a cheap copy of what came before, great. But I'm not holding my breath. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Predator came in as a mere Wraith clone; the Xenomorph proved they aren't above it.

I apologize for my long winded rant. I really REALLY felt the need to type it out. Yes, it was unnecessary. But it felt good.

  5. Skull merchant has just been a colossal waste of time that is still going to end up resulting in a generally disliked killer by both sides. Extra frustrating in a game where that time and effort could have been used to fix the myriad of issues plaguing the game.

  6. 1:50 The thing here is that drones can’t down people, so the worse you can get is a deep wound. Yes it’s like a legion but at least there’s no threat of chain hits going down and the killer having very fast mobility.

  7. it’s also good to know that the drones don’t start scanning immediately, they have a start time so survivors can literally keep an eye out for her animation and know which direction to go in chase, and while she can change the direction, that adds the marco and counter play otherwise survivors will just run counter clockwise or vice verse to dodge it every time.

and also to add, she is a trap killer; THATS THE POINT so eventually you will get trapped meaning you won’t have a choice, too bad get over it she’s the killer and you’re not.

and i doubt the drone direction switch would work without a cooldown animation so you can’t spam it.
