First
They have to make kindred finally basekit. I am sick and tired wasting a perk slot for this just so my teammates come and save me
I love the mmr system in dbd now that they nerfed self care is even worse and people still use it
I am saying this in a very objective, factual, non-biased and honest way. This is just an opinion please don't be offended
BUT
This might be the reason why people hate soloQ
I hate those type of people were they don’t want to help cause their scared to die
running self care without botany knowledge is just plain silly
Had almost the same thing happen to me. Teammate absolutely refuse to help me or heal me. But, karma came a long and I got to leave him to die on first hook.
Literally yesterday I had teammates near the hook crouching and just standing while the killer was far away(I got saved like after almost reaching 2 nd state)
I have been playing so much soloq that l can start to delineate the type of player according to the character they chose:
Dwights & Neas: 33% scared af
33% good players
33% just annoying/trolling towards teammates and killers with flashlights, never touches a gen
Jakes and Leons: 80% trash as in this game
20%: almost God level, nothing in the middle
Aces and bills: 70% really good players and altruistic
10% trolling
20% just want to open chests
Claudy: 33% self care in the corner
33% committed to be the nurse of the team, just keeps running around with empathy and medkit to heal people
33% crazy good players
Megs: 100% Meg
can't believe there are still ppl use self care when circle of healing exist
I only play solo queue bcse i have no friends
and i understand your feelings
Yeah I almost always bring a medkit and Clairvoyance. Very annoying when teammates don’t rescue each other before reaching 2nd hook
I dont run selfcare wich means i never get healed
Instead i run appraisal it gives me 6 chances to get a medkit and yes i am wasting team but if my teammates gonna selfcare in corners or dont heal me cus they wanna be toxic i aint gonna play nice
And the build i run to stop every form of toxic people is
Deliverance for the unhook
Appraisal for the heal
Any means for toxic pallet droppers
And built to last for if i do only get 1 medkit i can heal 2 times with it
People say self care is a good perk but u are literally healing at 35% the normal speed and only u can use it too
Lets say a full heal is 100 secs if done with 2
It would mean
Self care 35% means it would take
285 secs to a full heal meaning ur wasting 185 secs (ofc its not that much since a heal isnt 100 sec but its just to make it easily understandable)
Wich means if someone else healed u u save alot of time
And if we couple that with replacing self care with a boon
It turns it 80 seconds +3 other perks that arent self care like for example
1 prove thyself 1 leader and 1 vigilance or something
Gens are faster heals are faster recovering from statis effects faster
But no people rather run self care
I learnt a powerful lesson today: dont play soloq on weekends
You can call for all the buffs in the world for solo q but it won't fix numbnuts going off and self caring outside the map.
Sadly this is true!
I played solo q for a while now since I don’t have any friends to play dbd with some I do some don’t want to play with me and running kinred is a 50/50 chance of getting saved I got left on hook a lot
As a solo queue player…I can confirm about 50% of players are like this…one of the reasons I run Left Behind all the time now…when I don't get left on hook or tunneled…it has proven very useful lol
Knowing how good you are as a teammate and survivor (having gone against you now, too!) makes this even sadder. The cliche about the survivor who runs the killer all game only to get left to die on hook is so sadly true sometimes.
The teammates slayed
Oh yeah. Definitely had that happen to me. One game had my three teammates run right past me to finish the Gen first.
Solo Q really is surviving against all xD even ur comrades
I like how the Jake only starts self caring after you were unhooked ..
Everyone is so selfish these days. More so, now that evading perks like decisive strike and dead hard have been nerfed. I feel like I waste a slot when slotting kindred because nobody wants to save anybody. I’ve lost hope recently, and I’ve just been running selfish perks. Im tired of looping killer for 2-3 gens and then being left on hook to die after.
when will people stop running that useless perk self-care? Circle of healing brings so much group utility and is basically self-care.
The thing is, I disagree with kindred being basekit yeah it would be cool but competitive play would have to change as well as kindred being built in wouldn’t stop people from not unhooking you. I feel like no matter what you’re team is going to be bots in solo queue
It be like that
i love leons, they're always so altruistic in my experience, even if some of them are bad at the game lol. they're all so cute
soloq has been so rough lately. i was on a team of a 3 swf and one of them was streaming so i got to go back and see them accuse me of not working on gens and standing around doing nothing when they literally lead the killer to me three separate times so i was on death hook before anyone else with only one gen done and i literally finished the first one on my own while helping one of them with two different gens. the reason i was walking around so carefully was because i was trying to hide from my teammates as well at that point since they kept bringing the killer over. i literally don't understand their logic when all three of them got one gen done together after they lead the killer to me the first time and two of them kept going back to work on the same gen even after the killer had gotten below 50 and had a bunch of gen regression perks.
then they got super bothered by me blessing a totem saying i kept blessing even though i literally only blessed twice that whole game and they were using my boon for its shadow step only for them to try to sell me out to the killer and when he didn't kill me right away (still died in the end) they reported me for working with the killer
i'm finding it very hard to play dbd at this point which is sad because i do adore this game
One of the many reasons I had to stop playing.
Solo queue is horrible because you can eithet find really good team mates, but also very dumb people.
Yeah, I love skill based matchmaking: 4kh killer, 100h survivors
It’s really frustrating especially when people don’t even try they stay in one spot even if killer is on someone and someone is on hook
Solo queue is literally the worst experience you can have as a survivor. And being a killer vs them you know whose solo and you just ruin them
Had a Dwight let me hit stage two on my first hook because there was a yellow rift next to where I was hooked and he decided that was first priority, right after unhooking instead of healing me he started cleansing a dull totem; I was a bit tilted to say the least.
I’m more surprised people still play dbd after all the solo q nerfs.
Gave it up a while back and honestly not missing it, devs killed it
Self care, the strongest killer perk
