The mori change kinda is aggravating to me because I use them in custom games to get good screen shots of trickster.
The only thing I am concerned about this change is the Memento Mori Offerings, which change them into bets. Hopefully, they could tweak that change a bit.
I'm glad they are trying to help solo queues, which I am absolutely glad they are trying to give solo survivors better experience. However, I find this update, unnecessary, but then again we'll just have to see how it plays out but honestly I was looking forward for the new mori update only. Everything else to me just seems unnecessary, but I wanna see how this plays out first to see if it's good or bad

I'm usually open minded and even excited about gameplay changes but honestly? I hate this.
In defense of the finishing mori, this concept is something that would make a lot of sense to a newcomer to the game. Removing moris from offerings and perks is less about balancing, and more about making the mori itself feel more special.
I don't understand why people are so butt hurt about this change. Is it because I'm not a super high level killer? Because when I play killer, I don't slug if I can avoid it.
People usually say "BUT WHAT ABOUT SLUGGING UNDER PALLETS WHEN THERE'S SURVIVORS NEARBY?!?!?!?" but, like, just smack the other survivors? I've been through that and that gets solved usually in less than 30 seconds, although 22 may be a little bit tighter, but you don't need half a gen to pick up a survivor.
Plus, people are freaking out about stuff like Myers, when you'll hardly ever slug for a 3 hook. If you're slugging, most likely than not, you're going for the 4k, and if you do, being successful will instantly end the game with a mori without having to hook anyone. If anything, it switches the pressure from survivors to killers: If you want to skip entire game phases and have a quick win, you now have to commit to a timed chase, instead of the last survivor just running around just for a couple extra points before they die or just giving up entirely.
I really can't think on many scenarios where this could negatively impact my games…

Yeh yeh yeh…….but are they planning make survivor gameplay funny? All we can do is pressing eternally 1 button working on gens? Are we so dumb that´s all we can do? Game can´t be more boring and simple. They should add new mechanics and objectives for suevivors so experience feel exciting and strategical. RN is just boring AF. 3 It´s 3 months I stopped playing for that reason.
Bruh if they want to curb slugging so bad just give survivors an option to give up once a certain amount of time has passed for them on the floor. This update is nothing but a massive buff to Swf and Nurse. The two main things people have problems with. I hope this doesn't go through because this is easily one of the worst ideas behavior have come up with.
I feel like the end-game Mori change will be a novelty that gets old. At first it'll be "That's pretty cool how the killer actually ends the game with a kill," then it'll turn to "Can we skip this, I've seen this Nurse mori about 50 times now."
The mori change might be good but that can cause 2 problems
The first one is that if there are challenges related to crawling into hatch while in a dying state or other types of dying state condition for archives or daily ritual, it can stop those from being completable.
The other one is the achievement/trophy for entering the hatch while in dying state as the last survivor, that might not be completable due to this.
What the devs can do for this is maybe add a toggle for using this new feature that they can switch on and off whenever the players want this to be used or not for each game they play in either one of the options in the settings screen or it can be visible to toggle on and off inside the lobby screen, that makes those condition at least possible to do if they are going for them at any time.
I don’t like that everyone can self revive. Seems like it’s deleting pressure from the killer in my opinion.
Nurses will now be able to end the game instantly if they down every survivor in less than 40 seconds (assuming no survivor has an anti-slugging build) which is fucking terrifying. Nurses not having to even hook survivors to instantly close out a match is going to make her even more prevalent and even more broken at high MMR. Hope you liked AA Starstruck Nurse slugging because that’s what the meta will devolve into if this goes live with no tweaks. And that’s not even getting into low tier killers that sometimes have to slug for more than 40 seconds (Myers and Oni will be a helluva lot harder to get kills with, even if they can close out the match slightly earlier with a good slug with the last couple survivors).
tbh i kind of like the idea of this change but it would suck sm against flashlight/sabo squads. honestly i hope if they do stick with this they hopefully rework some maps and the hooks (ex; midwich)
This update benefits killers more than survivors. The fundamental issue with DBD is the game mechanics are too in favour of the killer. This is why cheating is becoming so common. For DBD to achieve longevity behaviour will NEED to even the playing field. Streamers who play predominantly as killers do not represent the DBD community.
Let’s be realistic – killers have speed, weapons they can throw use at a distance, teleportation, all the same perk /add on options as survivors. Ability to prevent survivors using their only tools (vaulting,flashlights,pallets). Streamers playing predominantly as killers want to keep the advantages for killers because that allows them to dominate games without requiring any skill.
I think base kit Unbreakable (except for the insane speed) is a good idea but the new mori system is just all kinds of wrong. Totally undermines the risk/reward play of Devour Hope and Rancor. Taking away the ability to give hatch is just stupid and the Twins are now completetly screwed beyond belief. This some kind of failed PR stunt, right?
I don’t like these changes. They only serve to make matches more boring.
Moris are now participation trophies instead of rewards for skillful play, no friendly killers carrying to mercy hatch, no clutch sneak crawling to hatch/gate, most killers will have a much harder time snowballing, SWFs can easily abuse the new mechanics etc. Lame for all sides imo

Unbreakable = 22 seconds pickup. So You down 1 guy near a pallet or they have as little as 1 flashlight now you Have to ignore the pick up due to stun risk all they have to do is last 1 loop or a loop and a half and the person has picked themselves up. Considering how hard it is to get 4 people slugged and down unless it is 4 solos that aren't all that great, this is a net killer nerf considering it all.
I would do it like this. The game only would go to the mori if one of the survivors would be dead already. So with four alive it would not cause the game to end this would discouraged early slugging and force the killer to hook people. Then I would let the perks have the moris too because with this change you would only see the mori once a match in the end. The perks would let you do it more and don't see the downside why it could not be a thing. Most moris take about the same time as it takes the killer to take the survivor to the hook anyway but are way more interesting to watch. Is behavior thinking that the mori is something so special that it has to be once in the match thing. I never saw them like that they are just another way to kill the survivor and is nice when you pull it off with Devour or Rancor. I don't even see the point to use Rancor after the change as the mori was the only interesting thing in that perk. Not to mention that Michael still would be able to mori people with his addons so why remove it from the perks.

Can't wait to see oni jump up to B or A tier with this change. Hyper aggression builds make more sense. So less killer will run Anti gen cause its not as fun as full chase. Great change I think.
Other than twins which will need adjustment…and the mori systems…and devour hope which I don’t quite understand why they are changing…I don’t see this as that big of a deal. I hook pretty fast as killer and as survivor am hardly ever left slugged for an extended period of time unless the killer is trying to slug for the 4 k.
I like that they keep developing the game and trying new things. But I hate the loss of moris on Rancor, rancor is my favourite perk and it'll totally fuck my play style.
But seriously this can’t possibly work as twins currents delay when switching. Boil over was nerfed to hell unless you are on console lol but it’ll be the exact same change before the boil over nerf when everyone ran that briefly…every killer runs iron grasp and hooks the bad kids trying to troll.

for me its not so much about that basekit unbreakable cause i think thats GREAT! what i am sad about is that i do some challenges with moris sometimes to see how many ppl can i mori (for streams mostly) and now its just a mori if you sweat it out and kill everyone cause theres only one mori. some moris are just stylish to deserve being shown off more like ghostface's…
Why did they even remotely think that when making one of the best second chance perks base kit, that instead of reworking the perk they massively buff it so it’s literally infinite times more broken than before? Boon exponential is almost not even good, but Unbreakable will never be able to stay the way it is as they announced it, it’s actual lunacy.
