I cannot think of a nicer way to say this to Patrick, but I think that man and his team are delusional. It is VERY obvious to anyone that plays the game for extended periods of time that there is so much bullshit keeping this game from being fair, that MMR just doesn't work. Running a healing build against Plague? Half your team D/Ced? Farmed off hook? Camped? Tunneled? There are so many things outside of the player's control in this game that its ridicules to imply that skill solely determine who gets out and who dies. I had a game where I was running Rancor and the person running me all game for 5 gens got axe'd at the endgame collapse just because of one mistake that let me get the kill. Is that fair? Did I perform a skilled play as Killer? It was satisfying since I was pissed, but that person was skilled and didn't get out, so now a less experienced Killer is going to go against them and have an even worse time. Whatever, the Steam charts don't lie: this game is hemorrhaging players ever since October when this shit got released.

I'm starting to see a small pattern in a handful of comments so I'm just gonna pin this: Sadako from the japanese original story=Ringu, which the dbd counterpart is based off of, is 19 years old before she's killed. Meaning that, yes she is a smol asian woman…but she is still very much a woman. Samara from the american adaptation= The Ring, on the otherhand, was 10 years old. Last game, we faced against an AFK killer that sat in the middle of the cornfield in Coldwind farm, staring at her Hex Ruin and doing nothing
I thought "Shieeet, best I do all totems then.", predicting a "The survivors finished the gens? Lol noed, bloodwarden"
Because I had counterforce, I also wanted to clean that Hex ruin just because. A Claudette got in front of her, flashed her once. The killer? Chase, down, hook, afk in front of the hook. No movement, no attempt at gaming…
I cleansed Hex, thought "Well, this girl's dead. Fucking camper."
Then someone rushed in and saved her, idk why the killer didn't just nab her but she didn't– Then I tried to help, and I got downed.

I got so angry. "Camping is okay, they're the ones ruining their own experience" WELL what about MY experience?!
I had my sanity hanging by threads as I thought pettily "it's okay. The two remaining survivors can open the gate, tea bag this shit and then leave if they want to" (I was mad)
Then the killer opened the gates for them and left. I died, I was confused, frustrated, annoyed, mad at BHVR for allowing camping into the game with little to no repercussions
Killer was a rank IV blood rank killer, too.
What was the honey in all this shit? She had Noed, but it didn't proc because of me. HA. Sanity restored.
