  1. Eh, flashlights aren't the worst item at all, especially when you consider at their base yellow level they can roll back a killers pressure instantly and turn a lost game into a won game. They're just overused way too much in matches because they're too much fun to go for, so most survivors make it too obvious after the first attempt and keep going for them after the initial fail or success. No other item can do that without strong addons.

You were even scared to pick up that Ada the first time because you knew that if they got a save then, it was pretty much curtains for you if they didn't throw after that. No other item puts fear into killers like a flashlight. I've had plenty of matches where I sit conservatively with a flashlight and never run across the map for a far save, electing to only go for one's in my vicinity that come close to me.

  2. Living proof, you do not have to camp and tunnel and 5 gens to win. They lost trying to set up for the sweet flashlight saves lol. This is the type of fun match everyone hopes for whether survivor or killer.

  3. Oh it's definitely been a rough day. In fact, the one thing that has carried me through all of my killer games today has been…

    looks at perks

    Oh, you already know! Wonderful.

Griping about Eruption aside, I wish that all my teams brought in flashlights instead of toolboxes and medkits. That would just be sublime, really.

  4. Coming back to this game because of custom mode which no one seems to be talking about. Nurse on console you can now practice your blinks as much as you like. Try different load outs. Bots do dumb stuff but their movement is decent to the point where it helps you practice the blinks or blight rushes it Oni turns or huntress hatchet throws. I wish you could setup a perk loadout for them to make the games harder/more realistic. But overall as a jaded killer main who stopped playing because of constant TTV sweat lobbies. Custom is a breath of fresh air and might even get me back into pub lobbies eventually. Fair play to the devs there is no way that survivor AI is easy to code.

  5. Maybe a pretty good match to highlight something to a certain killer demographic that complains about generators going too fast (and how they're right…and also wrong)
5:01 – Third gen pops. 10:40 – Fourth gen pops. They spent most of the game at 2 gens, while Scott worked out the right way to pressure them away from their preferred gens and eventually get a bit of a snowball. The early generators are kind of just a powerful demonstration of what happens when survivors have no reason to group up, and can work separate generators simultaneously. Once they need to start saving and healing people, the game becomes very different. (And yes, they were going for flashlight saves, but mostly after the snowball already started. There's other ways that hook pressure could've worked out)

  6. I've always seen flashlights as unbelievably weak and get excited when I see them in my killer lobbies and bummed to see my survivor teammates with them. Even the BEST people with flashlights, think ayrun, jrm, sweh, etc, they lose pretty much every one of their matches in the end just messing around going for the YouTube content.
